Excellent food, and great service! (Thank you Samantha) Very uniquely decorated too. They change their specials daily, and no lack of food portions either, three of us had the philly sandwich, spiced potatoes and onion rings, another friend had the pulled pork. We all recommend it highly! Wished I had taken a picture of our sandwiches!

Great place to eat, for lunch or with the family. Amazing views and really nice place to set and relax outside if you choose to take a break from the busy world. Burgers, hamburger steak and chicken sandwiches are delicious.

Good locally owned gas station/convenience store. The store is really cool inside, like an old mountain store. But their cafe is the best. We live not too far away and my parents often call in to-go there and it's great. They like the crispy chicken topped salad while I really like the burgers. I never tried the salad but my parents love it and it looks good. The burgers are always really big and taste great... tomatoes, lettuce, and onions etc are always cold and crisp. I'm happy that I can get a really good burger down the street. My grandparents came to stay with us so we ordered a ton of food from the cafe and they loved it. The cafe itself is newly renovated. The prices are normal so it won't cost a fortune for good food.

Love this place. Great prices. Great food. The restaurant is so cute. Was an old farmhouse type place next to an old general store still open, now restored and decorated to a retro car and bike theme. Outdoor sitting with the deck overlooking a flowing creek and the north fork of the new river. Great for bikes or day trippers enjoying the area or a local looking for a quick bite. We order to go often. Some great items we have tried are the burgers, buffalo chips, fried mushrooms, chicken sandwich and the fried chicken salad. Great stop for pics. The service station general store next door is so iconic of years past. They have offer gasoline which is rare out in the north section of Ashe county and the blue ridge mountains. The store offers general items as well including a hardware section for those needing a random nut and bolt. Both are a great place to plan on stopping.
