Terrible! My daughter had to use the restroom in the main lobby instead of going back up and a guy walks out and I asked if the restrooms were really closed due to COVID like the sign said and he rudely responded after literally walking out.. I guess so… really man. COVID was years ago.. that’s not due to COVID.. it’s due to you being lazy and not wanting to sanitize and clean them for your guest. Won’t EVER be back here.

I’ve been waiting to make this post to see if my frustration was just related to wedding stress. 3 weeks later, I can confirm that I’m still pissed.TLDR - don’t book your wedding block here. The bottom line is that this is the worst hotel I’ve ever dealt with in my life. I’ve been in numerous weddings, travel regularly, and am generally an easy going person. From my first phone call with this hotel, I should’ve known something was wrong.First, scheduling a hotel room block should be the easiest part of wedding planning - that is, unless you choose this hotel. I called early this year to set up a room block for my wedding. I was told on that first phone call that we would be financially responsible for all rooms that were left over from the block, which I thought was strange. It required me to actually come in to the hotel to discuss with someone directly because there were too many miscommunications via phone. Finally, the block was set up - should be good to go, or so I thought. The hotel repeatedly told me that I was not meeting my minimum requirements, even though I personally spoke to over 20 couples who all said they had booked rooms. I had to call EVERY one of my guests and write down their confirmation #, the # of nights, and their names and then bring this spreadsheet to the hotel to ensure they had the guests bookings properly recorded - they did not. Almost every reservation had an error. Five rooms were booked under MY name, not their own, because people said they were in MY wedding block. This continued up through the night before my wedding. I came to the hotel to check in as I was staying alone the night before, and reception told me “please expect for discounts not to be honored because you have had too many cancellations under your name and there aren’t enough bookings”. This was a lie. While crying, I again had to pull out my spreadsheet with everyone’s info on it, when I was just trying to relax on the night before my wedding.Second, don’t bother attempting to book a shuttle service for wedding guests. My wedding venue was less than 15 miles round trip from the hotel (7 miles each direction) and for four round trips before and after wedding (8 total) the charge was for $500 - which seems fair, until you consider that the bus only seats 10 people, and your guests would have to start arriving to the venue hours in advance to all get there in time for your ceremony. Also, when asking for a confirmation, I was told that they don’t give confirmations for shuttles, and that payment can be given once they arrive. So I’m supposed to leave it in their hands to make sure the shuttle is actually coming. Yeah right.Third, my guests were overcharged. The hotel promised a price upon booking over the phone, yet about a month before the wedding I was speaking to the manager about something and he informed me that “due to blue ridge rock festival, the rates for the weekend will be increasing”. What? So my guests who already booked under this false info of a discounted room were going to be up charged for… a festival in another state an hour away.Fourth, the hotel was struck by lightening (one thing that wasn’t their fault) and while the halls filled with smoke and power issues caused rooms to have broken appliances, lack of A/C, and more issues, no one from my group was given any discount or credit for their inconveniences. My father was electrocuted by his refrigerator while standing in his room, literally zapped.Fifth, the men who work at this hotel are incredibly condescending towards women. I was repeatedly told “calm down my dear” when questioning them about anything that seemed unusual. It was always an issue until I brought my husband into the hotel with me for a discussion about what the issue was.Sixth, the pool was absolutely vile. My family had to clean the pool themselves in order to enjoy it, and were ignored when requesting it be serviced.Seventh, just because this pissed me off so much. I was denied a yogurt the morning of my wedding because I was 5 mins late for breakfast.

We stopped here to try and use the bathroom with 2 small children and the manager was very rude. He didn't even speak when we walked in he just stared. He informed us that the bathrooms were closed due to covid which is fine but he was very rude. If I did have a reservation here I would definitely cancel it.

Bed is as comfortable as a sheet of plywood. Service staff is nice. Lightening blew the power supply on my laptop.

Wouldn't recommend. Shower drained slowly, AC did not work as expected. Jelly was petrified in package at breakfast buffet. Towels paper thin. Not impressed.

Hotel is nice. If you're staying for a local sports tournament, beware. We learned a lesson with them last week. All the rates were listed as "promotional" even though they were 20% higher than the night before. When the game rained out, we got the "no refund" rejection. We had the reservation for under an hour. Decent hotel, stayed there in the past, but there's a lot of hotels out there.

If you are used to staying at nice hotels, don’t stay here. The room was like a sauna when I walked in. The carpet is old and the furniture is chipped. The ironing board wouldn’t stand up. The towels are super thin. There is no business center though they have a computer and printer sitting out as though they work. The front desk clerk couldn’t even print something for me if I emailed it to her. The rear doors of the building did not lock so anyone could come in. Never. Again.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! PLEASE READ!!!! CAUTION!!!! CAUTION!!! CAUTION!!!!I wish I could leave 0 stars for this location. We were racially profiled and the cops were called on us. Backstory....We stayed in a Best Western hotel in December in Atlanta because we arrived home and our house was flooded. The hotel had very little running water and we were not made aware before checking in for our stay. We were not able to shower during our one night stay so the hotel awared us reward points to redeem for a stay. We decided to use those points at this location. I explained to the guy at the desk that we wanted to redeem points from a previous bad experience. The guy at the desk was not able to accept the rewards and informed us that we needed to book online to redeem. I called customer service and they booked for us without any issue. Upon entering the room I pulled the sheets back to lay my 1 year old daughter down and there were several stains on the fitted sheet. I called the front desk and explained the situation. He proceeds to tell me that my family and I "do this everywhere we go". He said that his staff was great and he knows I am trying to get a free room. I offered for him to take a look for himself and he refused and told me to checkout. I asked for a manager and he told me no, it doesn't matter who I talk to. I then asked if he was the manager and his response was "it doesn't matter who I am". My wife went to the front desk to talk to him and he called the cops on us. We told our side to police and collected a report as proof. All we wanted to do was rest a few hours as we were driving from Atlanta to Philadelphia. He profiled us and assumed that we were scam artists. I have never experienced anything this disgusting. My wife and i are very upset behind this experience. Here I am on the way to visit my very sick mother, and my nerves were already a wreck. To then be hit with racial profiling, hit with accusations that completely go against my character, and to have the cops called on us while we have our 1 year old daughter sent my nerves over the top. It took hours during the drive to Philadelphia to calm myself down. PLEASE DO NO VISIT THIS LOCATION!!! We also found out through corporate that he put us as aggressive on the account and asked that we are not to be booked at the hotel again. We would never stay there after that experience and urge everyone else to stay clear of this horrid place. Be careful where you stop to lay your head, you may not be welcomed. Fyi, we also have video of the interaction my wife had with him proving there was no aggressive behavior.

Side note: read reviews for Durham, NC and was not pleased at all. Had to stop short at this place but definitely worth the night. Very clean rooms with NO complaints and they had a full breakfast but my complaint there was no bagels or bacon. Stayed with Best Western before, it's a full bar otherwise. It wasn't too busy midweek so our stay was 5 stars.

I typically only post a review if I have something nice to pass along. That being said, not with this review. Booked this location with several others and were billed incorrectly. I made multiple attempts for them to correct my bill with little to no help. I almost felt that they were fraudulent. Customer service is aweful! Even getting water from the fountain was locked after the breakfast buffet. The location is next to a seedy hotel and across from another seedy hotel. Here is a few observations. Torn curtain in room, railroad at night is loud. Carpet on stairs worn, chairs in dining little cushion, people at front desk no Customer service. I will continue to make every effort on not having our staff staff there again. Learn how to run a hotel...

Never have been to a hotel where the staff admitted that they gave away my room to me and then claimed “we got a rush of people, you need to calm down”. I also needed the ground floor and because the front desk gave away our room we are now forced upstairs with someone recovering from knee surgery. I really wish I could have gotten my money back.Noteworthy details: They gave away my room and I had to wait for him to fix his mistake. NEVER STAY HERE.

I had a bad experience at this hotel. Every time we left the room, we had to have the room re-keyed. Every time. And then every time I went to get ant assistance, the person attending the front desk was not there. Was one of the worst places all around that I've ever stayed.

Avoid if possible. The bed was hard felt like I was sleeping on a wood board. Bathroom very small. The continental breakfast was below average fruit was old not a good selection of pastry. The orange juice tasted old. The whole breakfast just limited to nothing. The chairs to sit on in the breakfast area were very old hard and sunk in the middle as if your bottom was going to sink in and drop right on the floor. All the chairs were like that at each table very uncomfortable due to limited padding on the chairs. The back of your thighs will feel the pressure. The price they are charging is not worth it and they know it. They need better upgrades then hardwood floors in the room. Hotel just pieced together to take people money.
