Second year renting with Vacasa. Similar to other posts I don’t think they do a nice enough job with property management. They asked me to write a review of the property, which I did. They have yet to post it on the website which is wrong. What’s the point of reviews if you are going to monitor and only post the good ones? We have no regrets on staying but don’t ask for reviews if you don’t want honest feedback.Edit: And 2 months after this post the review remains hidden….

Dirty house, wasn't cleaned at all. Toe nails on floor, food and chips on floor, sand everywhere, mouse droppings in dresser drawer, refrigerator only gets to 54 degrees, multiple lights out, exploded beer in downstairs freezer that wasn't cleaned. Do I continue...

Absolute Paradise in Corolla, speaks for itself. Owners compliment this vacation home with constant upgrades and maintenance that is exceptional for a oceanfront home. Our 10th year in the jewel on Millionaires Row....Blessed!

Had the unfortunate experience of encountering some of the employees here. We were parked in a public parking lot which many locals claimed they parked in multiple times and never had any issues. We were in the spot for 40 minutes eating lunch and they had us towed. We then asked why since many other people were parked in front of the business, they made excuses and were extremely rude about why they were having us towed but not other locals or people in the same spots. Extremely rude and unpleasant employees who were bitter and choose to cause our group issues.

RUN!!!! Don't walk away from renting from this company. If I could give negative stars I would. Twice!!! They screwed us out of our rental homes. Called to have rental moved to another date for large group gathering. Corolla Classic Vacations confirmed the home was available for the new date and the change was made. Didn't receive revised contract so called again and again was told changes were made and contract was in the works. Still didn't receive it. Checked again and was told home was now not available and that they didn't have our reservation. Was told I would get a call back from person who I worked with to help find something else. Never got a call back. Called 5 times with no one answering and no call backs. Now it's too late and we have no rental. Will only give us back our already paid $9000.00 IF the home is rented out for previously rented week that they screwed up on. This company is unethical and does not care about their clients!!!!!! They screwed 8 children and their families of a family reunion and birthday celebration that we've planned on since November of last year.

We had vacasa manage our home for a year and it was a horrible experience the entire time. If you are looking for a company to take care and actually manage your home in Corolla, use Twiddy or someone else around there! Our home was left open during a hurricane because their cleaning service didn’t close the door and flooded 3 floors of our house! They took no responsibility of the $50,000 in damage. We even had insurance with them but “that’s not covered” I guess by their renters insurance. Let me save you massive headaches and STAY AWAY!

BEWARE before you rent from Corolla Classic Vacations by Vacasa!!!!"Cancellation Policy: If you cancel within 24 hours of booking, you'll receive a full refund. After that (unless stated otherwise in the home description and unit-specific terms), if you cancel 30 or more days before the first night of your reservation, you'll receive a refund of any rental payments you've made, minus the booking fee."We reserved a beach house in June 2022 for the next year June 2023. My first payment was $4226 and another payment due in 2023. I cancelled that reservation 6 weeks later. They charged me 10% of my total bill $803. That's some "booking fee" for them considering the house was only off the market 6 weeks one year in advance.

TERRIBLE! Awful customer service! We rented a “luxury” home in Corolla, NC. The only thing luxury about it is the view. The house was absolutely disgusting upon arrival and had many safety issues. The decks are not sturdy, there are a lot of nails missing, sticking up, and rot. There were dead bugs all in the house and on the walls and ceilings. Cob webs and dust everywhere in the home. Floors were nasty. The pool was never cleaned after previous guests. I have pictures of everything and they have been sent to the email provided, nothing has been done. We have called for four days and have constantly been told someone would be out and be contacting us, NOTHING! Absolutely ridiculous.

DO NOT BOOK.Reached out to Vacasa MULTIPLE times about the spider infestation at the house we stayed at for our honeymoon in the OuterBanks. They sent their cleaning crews with VACUUMS to clean the webs. ALL of the spiders came back that same night! We called a day later and they sent an exterminator who partially helped, but the spiders still came back in about a day. There were brown recluses, wolf spiders, orb weavers, and black widows all over the decks, patio furniture, and IN our house!!! Which by the way was Sound Landing in Corolla NC. DO NOT STAY THERE OR BOOK THROUGH VACASA. My wife got a terrible bit one of the nights while in the house and it is infected now. They asked us if we wanted compensation for our stay, we said yes, and then they laughed and then told us they can’t offer it to us! What a joke. Literally couldn’t use 75% of the property while we stayed there for our once in a lifetime HONEYMOON. If I could sue, I would. Thanks for ripping us off 3K and doing NOTHING about it.

Villa Rosé ms12Long story short kinda:Place was not clean when we arrivedDog hair everywhere (kind of expected since dogs allowed)Half the beds were not even madeSome of the sheets were moldy looking and had dirt on them (we rewashed and bought some of our own)Large 4” hole in back porch that was unsafe for our childrenAC system for main area would only maintain 10 degrees lower then outside tempElevator stopped working after day 1Handle on back door fell off day one and couldn’t be locked for duration of tripFront door access code was never given because new door lock wouldn’t actually lock which also meant this door was unlocked for duration of trip. Told someone would come out but they never showed.Half the light bulbs were outAnts were all over the kitchenOverall other than new carpet the place was largely outdated, however, if clean wouldn’t have been a big deal. When I contacted Vacasa several times (4 at least) I was only able to have someone out to look at the AC which was not even a professional but just someone who worked for Vacasa that used a temp gun and said “its fine it just cant keep up” and that was it. He did manage to get someone out the next day to look at the elevator which was temporarily fixed. Outside of that it has now been a week and I am still waiting for the local manager to call me which I was promised would happen within 24 hours lol. While every person I spoke with was nice, overall there is just a lack of action which unfortunately was all that would have mattered. The only compensation we were given was the Cleaning fee that was a whopping 145$ (explains why it wasnt clean honestly). All of this was sent to Vacasa with a list and pictures.First time using Vacasa and will most likely be the last.

We arrived at our rental. It was full of black mold and members of our party started to feel sick within 40 minutes of arriving. The cleaning company showed up and confirmed there was black mold in the vents. We were supposed to have one of their general managers come out within 20 minutes. 2 hours later, and multiple calls back and they still haven't called back or showed up.

Sarah " the supposed Senior Director for Vacasa" has ducked voicemail after voicemail after voicemail (14 to date). We had a three night reservation over Memorial day in North Carolina at Sound Serenity. Serene it was anything but. We arrived and the temperature was 87 degrees in the rental. The air conditioning was being "worked on" all week, and was "all fixed and checked" before we checked in. We had to wait until 11PM at night to have 3 window units placed in rental. That first night, wasted as we were promised repair after repair after repair. The neighbor next door told us that the Air Conditioning had gone out the week before, causing those renters to leave early. The next morning, as we attempted to make breakfast, magically the gas was out. Two hours later someone finally showed up. The gas had been turned off and they had no idea how or why. Shocker. The "Property Manager" Scott moseyed over around 11. He tried to fix the Air Conditioner (way to try to use a non licensed employee), and failed. Called in a contractor, who made per his words " a one hour fix, and the system is shot". He was there until 2:30. He then proceeded to sit outside the rental for an hour after circling our car around the block. Day two shot. The window units worked on and off. 2,000 square feet and 3 window units in late May in North Carolina is not ideal.Scott "the Property Manager" said in front of both me and my other half that there would be a "full refund or credit" for the trouble. He lied right in front of us.Upon the ridiculous amounts of back and forth with Scott, where he downright called us both liars and that he never said there would be a refund, he offered us $100 credit. $100.Two weeks later of unanswered calls, voicemails and the such, I finally got him by using their dial directory and blowing up the rest of the office. He was then able to "authorize" up to $450. He tried to use excuses such as, well what if your home air conditioner was out, or the gas wasn't turned on. His attempt at logic was pathetic and once again as we all know what excuses are like, and we all have them, and they all stink. He refused for a week to give me his supervisor's name, Sarah, and would absolutely not give her phone number. I once again started using their dial directory and got her. 13 Voicemails later, no answer. This service, is pathetic and ultimately unacceptable. Maybe at this point, they may give some attention to this challenge that they've created.

They rented us a very expensive house, knowing after the contractors and their families (approximately 18 ppl) left the house filthy! Sanding, paint dust EVERYWHERE!!! The bottom of your shoes were white from the dust! Paint droppings everywhere. Dried food on the table...a half cut lime in the silverware drawer, disgusting! Both dishwasher filled with dishes! I had to wash all bedding before the others arrived because of the contractors dust! Broken shower in main level bath. Toilet paper rods missing. Towel rods missing. We couldn't use any outdoor furniture because it was covered in blackish built up dirt, obviously never cleaned. When we arrived Thursday, at check in, they let us know it would be a little past check in, as the construction/painters were cleaning up.....it was workers of the real estate office, there documenting the damage the workers had left. She offered a cleaning crew to us, before the rest of the family arrived from Florida and Maryland. I called the number and took them up on that...they said it wouldn't be until Friday. Finally mid day 2 ladies show up and we let them know about all of the dust....everywhere, furniture, bed frames....EVERYWHERE!!! Oh and I might add hair in the bathrooms....they went through this 3 story house in less than a half an hour, and left! They told us, "we were here yesterday day and cleaned" lol well I can see why it was so dirty! Saturday night we pushed the couch a little back, as we were playing the oculus game....there were empty yogurt cups under there! The real estate office is responsible for these cleaners to do their jobs!! I might add, they refunded me a couple hundred dollars. Yeah that made it all better.......NOT! This office was unprofessional and didn't care once they had our money! We absolutely loved the actual house! Beautiful with an amazing view! I pray the owners find out what's going on, and cares! It's a shame this real estate office doesn't care what we endured! We made the most of it, but unfortunately because of all the dust a few of us returned home sick! I won't let one bad visit stop us from returning, as we live the OBX!!!!!
