“My family and I drove here from out of state, about a 7 hour haul. I picked this location online and received a phone call to confirm my reservation. 10/10 experience with customer service, move in was made so easy for us we unloaded a 10x15 UHaul in about 45 minutes time thanks to the aid of the carts they have available on site! They also had water provided! If you’re new and moving to the area, look no further. You’ll want to experience this Morningstar’s hospitality.”

“If you want someone who's heart is aligned with his purpose, choose Lloyd @ Amen Movers. I called him for an urgent job, after hours, on a Sunday. He and his crew got it done when others were long gone for the weekend. The price was perfect. The job was done is less than an hour. He also was kind enough to negotiate an issue with payment. He is truly a gentleman and worth the chance with your moving or relocation needs. “I used 1800-PACK RAT for a long distance move...TX to NC. I had some reservations considering many of the reviews. However, PODS seemed to have worse reviews. Considering the cost I decided to give it shot. I have to honestly say that overall everything went very smooth. Initial drop off and pick-up dates were on time. There was just a 1 day delay picking up the POD after final delivery of my items which was no issue and they notified me about.Every person I was in contact with was very professional and courteous starting with Mimi and her big sister?...lol.I was concerned about possible additional fuel charges that I read about in other reviews (which sounds like a rip off??) so I mentioned that to Mimi (via email...in writing) and she assured me I wouldn't get charged...all good.Another minor concern is, I was charged for a full month of storage which I did not use or plan to. I just wanted the pick-up, transportation and drop off as soon as possible. In all, my items were in the trailor just over 2 weeks. Seems the storage should be pro-rated especially if you never intended to use storage. Not too big a deal I guess??The only other issue maybe my fault as much as theirs? The 16' POD simply was not big enough. They say it holds 3-4 bedrooms of furniture...that clearly doesn't include the rest of the house.Although I lived in a 4 Bedroom house, I only shipped 1 bedroom set, 1 living room set/sectional, a kitchen set and NO major appliances as far as large items go. Of course I had numerous boxes. I ended pulling a small Uhaul trailor...NOT my preference at all but it worked out.Lastly, as I said everyone I spoke to and delt with from the drivers to the staff on line and over the phone was professional and courteous. Hate to admit it, but I think I got some keys mixed up and may have left the keys to my lock in TX?. Panick time. Thankfully David (here in NC) arranged to come out and cut the lock for me prior to my movers showing up at 09:00am...again very courteous and professional. I spoke to 2 young ladies (forgot their names) prior to Dave trying to frantically get the issue resolved and they were again very courteous, professional and helpful.I'd give 4.5 stars if I could based on my overall experience. The reason for not going to the 5 would be better/clearer communication on how much a 16 footer can hold and the full month charge for storage. Overall, I do recommend 1800-PACK RAT but like anything else try to clear Any/all concern ahead of time and in writing. Sorry got long winded...not like me. : >”
