Prior to the renovations this store used to be a great place for affordable and unique finds. Since then, Ive witnessed the staff being rude to volunteers and customers alike, the pricing is OUTRAGEOUS and there never seems to be anything new coming in. Probably because things aren’t selling at the astronomical prices. And let’s not forget, these items are all donated!!!! Such a shame that such a wonderful charitable mission has been turned into another money grab.

Lots of good deals, you just need to look for them. People are complaining about high prices, this store seems to have a lot of overstock merchandise that is unopened and new, from my experience. Best find was a lot of ~30 vintage coca cola glasses for a decent price a while back. Low end things, from card games to mugs to books to cds are priced fairly cheap.

What happened to this store. I remember when it was bustling with customers looking for a bargain. Everything they get is donated to them for free, so why the exorbitant prices. It's like walking into a high end consignment shop. No wonder it's always dead in there even on senior day. You might as well get it retail, at least you can return it for a refund. Not fun going there anymore to find a deal.

The volunteers are friendly & very helpful. They always have great stuff! I've gotten a number of nice pieces of furniture there.

It’s been a while since I’ve been here (being in medical school takes up most of my time) I’m on holiday break, so decided to drop everything & pop in for a quick peek. I’ve been lucky to find some neat things at this location.Including a framed Douglas Hoffman print that I now hang over my Pottery Barn sofa. Some of the pieces are priced a bit high (I agree with another reviewer) but overall I enjoy trying to find a treasure. Take a chance. You never know what you may find.

I donate to this store frequently and have always found the staff/volunteers quick and efficient in unloading my donations in the drive through. April, the store manager, runs a wonderful operation at the Cornelius Habitat Restore!

This place was over priced and messy. $95.00 for an old rickety yard bench. Inside was a collage of mayhem. Suggest you bring the reality that people donate the stuff because it's junk.

We have treasure hunted at Habitat for years, a Saturday tradition, but today will be the last at the Cornelius store due to the rudeness of the employee at the cash register. We normally look for paintings and small items (today we found a $10 dollar painting that was worth close to $500 after doing some quick research) but today we found a couch that was in reasonably good shape that we thought would be great for our play room. We went up to pay for the purchases and my husband asked if they had delivery and the employee laughed and snickered rudely, said no and continued to say "You only have three days to keep it here and we are closed tomorrow". We know about the three days and we have a truck so pick up is no issue, we just thought we'd ask. Her rudeness hit us both wrong at the same time and so we didn't purchase the couch or the paintings. I support Habitat and their mission wholeheartedly and will continue to do so , but rudeness is rudeness and the store lost a $400 sale today simply because an employee couldn't be bothered to answer a question politely. Luckily, we can continue to treasure hunt at the Mooresville location, but really, why laugh at someone when they ask a simple question? Next time, perhaps a better response would be "no we don't offer that service but we are glad to keep it here for you for three days while you arrange pickup, and thank you for supporting Habitat".

This is a great little store, however I feel like they've missed the mission on understanding that it's asecond hand store developed to help people who cannot afford to buy newer more expensive items. They price things out as if they are antiques or vintage or high end merchandise. Absolutely absolutely overpriced on everything.. Do not recommend if you are seriously on a budget.

This will be a review as a VOLUNTEER at Habitat. Quick background.....I am a longtime business owner myself having built 5 successful companies from the ground up. I am 57, and in "fantastic shape / health". (I workout 3x a week)I was there 3 days in a row, 5 hours, 5 hours, and 6.5 hours --- doing whatever was asked of me. My first day I even brought one of my own employees paid for by ME to clean and replace ALL of the overhead fluorescent lights, half of which were burned out. My employee was stopped and I was told "he couldn't do that". -RULES-So, I proceeded to put the 2 dozen donuts I bought for the staff into the break room. I was thanked JI noticed while I was there a BIG box full of books. Looking into it I recued a beautiful old Bible. I asked if that was normal to throw these out? I didn't get an answer. I said "hey, I will give you $5 for every Bible you get"/ --No reply.I DID learn a LOT about the rules of habitat though. Yesterday when I decided to take 2 of the 15 minute breaks allotted for in Habitats OWN policies and procedures, I was told "we don't do that here". Seems to me the "rules" are enforced as they fit this organization. I tried my best to smile, be nice to all involved, and generally fit in the best I could. This morning I was "fired". WOW. For what I asked? I could not really get a straight answer out of the manager April. Something to the effect of...."we move at a faster pace around here". Lastly...I was told that the Cornelius stores excess monies go to help the other stores that are struggling financially...... this is my opinion as a business owner who has not looked at their books but my guess is that these stores operate to keep the workers employed and that's it.My advice. Give your stuff to a friend in need.

Prices often more than new retail. Gave me a 10% coupon for donating then refused to accept the coupon. Took a Bosch electric cooktop to donate. It was refused for a tiny chip.Meanwhile tons of items in store with FAR worse flaws.Manager snarky.
