June 2023 by Daniel S.
I was told my delivery date was Thursday June 1, by end of day. Nothing delivered. Then told it would be Friday, June 2 by end of day. Nothing. Now it is saying "out for delivery" on Monday June 5 by 8pm. I mean, that's a pretty big time frame? They can't narrow it down or pinpoint a little better? Now I have to sit at home because I can't change the signature required option that was unfortunately put on there when shipped by sender. Cant call FedEx, youll never get through to an actual human. Thanks for wasting my time!

Was told my package would arrive on Jan 5th. Then update showed they couldn't find the address. How can you not find a large apartment complex. This went on for 3 days. Called again, they verified the address and said it would ship today. Did not ship, I called and they said someone removed it from the truck. This is ridiculous.

Worst Fed Ex Delivery branch in the entire state. Because of my work schedule I'm almost never home when they try to deliver. I have no one else around to sign for any specific package. I try and leave a note on every expecting package with a time I'm able to be here to sign for it. They have never respected my requests and always come first thing on their route. Delivery says between 8-12pm, well they're coming at 8o'clock on the dot. I have had five plus packages that have required signatures and have had to wait three whole days from the initial delivery date set because they can't work with the customer. if the package is supposed to come on a Friday and they miss you, don't expect them to come on a Saturday. They'll wait til monday to try and deliver when I'm back at work. Also their stupid Fed Ex pick up location doesn't work. I've had it set that if they can't get a signature to leave the package at one of those locations. Guess what, never have they ever dropped it off at one of them for me to pick up later. They suck so much.

I used to work for FedEx so I know how bad this company be... I'm waiting on a pretty expensive package to arrive! Just a PS5... no big deal right? Estimated delivery date is Tuesday Sep 6. Kinda sucks because I have a 4 day weekend thanks to Labor Day but I won't get to enjoy my ps5. I watch the tracking like a Hawk and yesterday I noticed my package is at the local shipping center! That's great! Maybe I'll get my package a few days early! No reason why they wouldn't ship it today when I'm only 8 miles away right....? Wrong. No delivery today... not even an attempt. I try to call but of course there's no local number just a stupid 800 number and those are always helpful. I try to request if I can just pick it up cuz like I said I'm only 8 MILES AWAY! It would take me less than 20 minutes to get to the facility. I'm pretty sure I'm okay with a 17 min drive to avoid waiting 3 more days... "Sorry they're already closed" at 2pm... 2 IN THE AFTERNOON?! Why?! (I called at 2:30 by the way) I missed my window by 30 min... now I have to wait a whole 3 extra days because you people didn't even attempt a delivery today when my package arrived the day prior giving you all the prep time necessary. I understand that Monday is a holiday I do. But there's no reason why y'all couldn't deliver today on Saturday. Here's the thing... it's a gaming console!! They don't do well in extreme weather conditions. Now my ps5 has to sit in a warehouse for 4 days... I swear to god if it's damaged in any way because of temperature or improper handling there will be hell to pay... that's $700 equipment just lying around because y'all chose not to deliver and close at an ungodly hour so I can't even come get it... FedEx sucks. No matter what location.

My son has Crohn's Disease. He has to take injections once a week. His medicine ships express overnight via FedEx. This medicine is temperature controlled. FedEx has screwed this up so many times. I've had to go up there several times and figure out where his medicine is. It's very concerning that they can't even get an express overnight package delivered correctly. I can only pray Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy will stop using Fed Ex!!!! USPS or UPS only!! I hate FedEx!

AVOID FedEx! Lost package, then refused claim! Tracking number showed package was picked up by FedEx taken to Newton, NC warehouse on January 8, 2021 and never moved again. Check tracking # for yourself: 782216423006 Terrible customer service, not trustworthy or reliable.

Worthless. They call but can not give a local call back number. I end up talking to reps who can not put me through to the locals. Then I get a voicemail because the representative that I spoke to did not effective/accurately relay the information to the local hub. Their customer service is terrible. We are a small business that receive and ship packages 5 days a week. This is why we avoid FedEx Express at all costs. UPS is amazing...much easier to work with and much more dependable.

First of all if I could give something less than one star I would. The delivery man came out today and delivered a package . now I live in a very nice brick home and you can't hear anything from outside. But I heard him deliver that package and slam it down on my porch this morning. I was completely livid $1,200 drum set they just slammed it down on the porch. Unbelievable I get shipments all the time from Amazon which is usually UPS or USPS but today FedEx delivered this package. I will never ever use FedEx service again. When I walked out on the porch and asked the young man what are you doing his remarks were those are heavy I said yeah and they're expensive to and his remark was yeah I know I delivered a set of those yesterday. What does that have to do with the fact that you just threw them onto my porch? Needless to say the young man got in his FEDX truck and drove away! Unbelievable!

TL/DR: Shipping? Good. Delivery? Horrendously bad. THE GOOD In the past when something had to be shipped using a corporate FedEx account, I used this office. I always had excellent results. But then again, I was experienced shipping packages, and all the FedEx employee had to do was calculate the shipping charge, and the package was ready to go. (They even tried to hire me on one occasion when I was shipping out several packages. Heaven knows they need more competent people working for them.) I used them for international shipments for business. Once, I returned a coworker's laptop to corporate in New England. With FedEx's specially designed boxes for laptops it got there quickly and undamaged. Shipping from this location has been five stars. All of which makes me wonder why the local delivery service is so atrocious. THE BAD Delivery from FedEx has been abysmal. I mean I don't think their success rate for getting packages to me is above 10%. They ALWAYS deliver to another house on my street, and then mark the package delivered online. That's just basically a lie. I've lost count of the number of times that I've had to walk the neighborhood searching for an important package, or have had a good neighbor ring my doorbell to deliver my FedEx shipment. It's absolutely inexcusable for a FedEx driver to leave a package at another address, which is listed on the front of their house, and is clearly the wrong address. People like this should be fired! I think that the local FedEx driver's primary concern is just getting done with their route and getting home. Delivering to the right address is a secondary consideration. Which is amazing considering that DELIVERING THE PACKAGE CORRECTLY is the entire point of their existence. I literally dread when something is shipped to me using FedEx. THE BLIND I've taken to printing out 8" x 11" sized street address numbers and taping them to the front of my house when a delivery is incoming. I mean a driver could be legally blind and still see these huge numbers. But does that stop them from delivering to the wrong address? No, it doesn't. THE UGLY On one occasion I called corporate to report a "free astray" delivery when the driver marked my package as delivered when it wasn't. The female employee that I spoke to wrote down my phone number incorrectly, so I never would have received a call back. I found this out when I eventually walked the neighborhood, found my package at a neighbor's house, and like a gentleman I called FedEx to report that I'd tracked down my package. The second female employee then told me of her predecessor's mistake. Then she couldn't get my name, phone number, or case number right either. When corporate employees come off as idiots...there's little hope. THE COMPETITION? If I get a chance or have the option, I always specify UPS or DHL for all incoming commercial deliveries. (I don't have much confidence in DHL either, but anyone is better than FedEx.) I use the hated USPS for small parcels and letters. Say what you will about the American postal system, but they get it right 95% of the time. I'm sure that some FedEx drivers are extremely competent or they wouldn't remain in business, but those in the Hickory/Conover/Newton area are the worst. They just don't care!

Nope! Every single time they are supposed to deliver to us, they fail. Honestly. Every. Single. Time. What's worse, they lie about it. Every. Single. Time. They send a message to the shipper that the package has been delivered to our front door when it hasn't. They are so bad that now we feel like we have to check with companies before we order to see if they use fedex to ship.
