We were looking for a splined input yoke for heavy equipment, unfortunately the part is too old and not made any more. So instead of saying that's it, can't help you he stopped what he was doing dragged out the books and started digging a bit. He did more than expected and showed me how we can fix ours and at a minimal cost. So the older gentleman behind the counter took time to share his years of experience and offer a way to fix ours. In this day and age it is greatly appreciated and part of what this country is missing.

Really nice folks! Got my differential taken care of in my work truck in a timely manner so I could get it back in service. Will definitely do business with them in the future.

I took my driveshaft there to get shortened along with a picture of the current travel I had on the slip yoke. He actually talked me out of having them do the work and confirmed the current travel was OK. Will definitely go back the next time I need something done. Their turnaround time is fast too. Would have been one day to shorten and balance mine.

I needed air pressure AKA tire pressure, so I walked in the office and I asked if I can get air on my tire right quick because they both were sitting down. they response was "no we don't do that here". in my head I was like what kind of auto shop don't have hose for air or don't do tire pressur, especially when you shop is called "UNIVERSAL AUTOMOTIVE". and they proceeded to keep lying and saying they only do certain parts for cars.I used to work at mechanic place with my uncle and I know air pressure hose when I see one so not only they lied to me but also weren't doing they job. worst part when I walked in there was a guy before holding his gun wide open and trying to cover it up and the two people I was talking to didn't said a word about him having his gun out in public auto shop like.so bad customer service and look like it's not a safe place to just walk in with out knowing what's going on in there for them just to let people walk around with they gun in the openall this happened @ thursday August 17/2023 the time is around 2:15 PM

Need 2 driveshafts reworked after another small shop install universal joints and ended up with driveline vibrations. Shop was not too busy the day I brought the driveshafts in to be reworked and they jumped right on them. Replaced universal joints and balanced both units. They ground all the loose rust off the driveshafts, sanded them and then check for high spots on the shafts and cut off original OE balance weights. This is a smart thing to do as it is best to start over with balance once new parts are installed. The longer shaft had a few high spots, so they spot heated and cooled a few small areas on the shaft to get it more true. Once shafts were balanced, they painted them as well.Reinstalled both driveshafts and vibrations were gone!!These guys are part artists, part magicians and do quick and quality work. This shop primarily focuses on driveshaft, differentials and axle work, but I believe they will do other work.They have the ability to cut and weld custom shafts as well as repair original equipment probably back to better than new.Few places do this work any more and when you need this type of service, consider Universal Automotive Service, Inc, in Concord. I am glad I found them and I am very happy with their workmanship!
