I recently had a disappointing experience at The Hair Lounge in Concord, NC, where I was shocked to discover hidden fees added to my bill for services that were neither described nor agreed upon.First and foremost, the lack of transparency regarding pricing was extremely concerning in my opinion. When I initially inquired about the services I wanted, I was provided with a quote that seemed reasonable. However, upon receiving the final bill, I was taken aback to find additional charges that were never mentioned during our initial consultation.Not only were these fees unexpected, but they were also for services that I did not explicitly request. It's deeply disappointing to feel like I've been misled and taken advantage of by a salon that I trusted with my hair care needs.Overall, my experience at The Hair Lounge was marred by unethical practices and a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction in my opinion. I would caution anyone considering their services to be wary of hidden fees and ensure that all pricing and services are clearly communicated and agreed upon beforehand.

Never been so sad about a haircut! Humiliated after getting my hair cut here. I came in for a trim (2inches off) and my stylist cut at least 5. Then cut these right angle bangs I didnt ask for and "fixed" it by using thinning shears on my hair in the SAME area I have thinning hair from alopecia. ? I wish this was a bad dream!Service: Hairstyling

I have started going to Christina here at the Hair Lounge- she is really great and friendly. I decided to bring my 6-year-old daughter to her to get her hair cut as well, and it was a great experience!! Her hair turned out beautifully and the price is perfect! I will be coming back to get an ombré and hope to post pics of that too!

Communication Is poor. I initially contacted them to schedule and appointment and received a message back immediately asking for my information to get scheduled. The message was super nice and courteous, but as soon as I provided my (Spanish) name and info, I received nothing back. Two days later I sent a second message to reach out again and see if maybe now they had something available. NOTHING again! So then a day later, I wrote a ONE STAR review (that got accidentally deleted by me), and lo and behold! I received a message an hour later asking what MY availability was. The whole situation was really weird! But I hope other people have a better experience.

It was a great first impression. My friend recommended I try The Hair Lounge as I was looking for something closer to home. Misty is a great stylist, listened to what I wanted and achieved the look and color I was going for. The place is super cute and cozy. Extremely friendly atmosphere! I walked out looking and feeling amazing!

Kala never lets me leave without looking 10x better than when I came in and half the time I don’t even really give her a concrete photo or idea to go off of. She absolutely kills it during the consultation, has fun with whatever it is, fits me into her schedule around mine, and is so fun to chat with during the whole appointment.

I started to visit this salon following my hairdresser, Madison. The place is so clean and the entire staff is friendly. Every time I go in I end up in a conversation with other customers and the other stylists. They have beverages to offer as well. I love the color scheme. It’s relaxing and makes the visit even better. There is an area with a television if you need to bring someone with you. Great salon!
