I've used PODS for 3 moves over the past 12 years. I think it is convenient and pricing is competitive with loading and driving a rental truck. I will continue to use PODS for my next move.

Title: Disappointing Customer Service Experience with PODSI recently had an unfortunate experience with PODS, and I must say that their customer service was severely lacking in several aspects. From start to finish, the entire process left a lot to be desired, and it is with disappointment that I share my encounter with this company.Communication was one of the major issues throughout my interaction with PODS. It was incredibly difficult to reach a live representative. I experienced extended hold times and multiple transfers between departments, which only added to my frustration. When I did manage to speak with someone, the level of customer service was lacking in professionalism and empathy. The representatives seemed disinterested and indifferent to my concerns, making me feel undervalued as a customer.Furthermore, the lack of transparency regarding pricing and sizing were concerning. I contacted PODS to determine appropriate sizing for my 1 bedroom apartment. I fully explained to the representative that I had large furniture to include a large sectional and king size bedroom furniture just to name a few. The representative assured me that the 8X8 POD would be sufficient. THAT WAS A LIE. Upon delivery , I immediately observed the unit was extremely to small. After further research I discovered that an 8X8 POD would be more appropriate for a studio apartment between 500-800 squared feet!!!! I made multiple attempts to contact PODS and was not successful. I already had movers scheduled /which could not be cancelled without costing me additional fees. I had no choice but to seek out additional means to move the rest of my items which cost me significant additional fees. additionally I Initially , thought I had a clear understanding of the costs involved, but additional fees and charges seemed to appear out of nowhere. The discrepancy between the initial estimate and the final billing was substantial, and PODS failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for these unexpected costs.When I finally spoke with customer service, I was assured that the matter would be escalated. IT WASN'T. I have called countless times to have this matter resolved , and EVERYTIME, I am informed that an "email " is being sent out the either the escalation team or resolution/dispute team. NO ONE HAS FOLLOWED UP!!!! This all began on 09/16/2023. Its now 10/06/2023 and I still have not had this matter resolved.In summary, my experience with PODS was marked by poor customer service, communication issues, and unexpected additional costs and incompetent customer services agents. I would advise potential customers to thoroughly research and consider alternative options before committing to services with PODS. It's crucial to find a company that values its customers and prioritizes a seamless and transparent experience.

Scheduling is easy. After that is a mess. No communication and hours spent on the phone with a call center. POD was not moved when planned. Use somebody else to save a headache.

Update.A week later and I still don't know where my pod is or when it's going to be delivered. I was also charged for the delivery today. I will never use this company again and I suggest nobody ever does.I scheduled weeks in advance for pickup and delivery. The pickup was the date scheduled. I arranged for help to unload on the date for delivery. Delivery date comes and now they don't know why it's not being delivered and are telling me it will be over a week for delivery. I'm between two states without my stuff and these incompetent people can only tell me they will file a ticket and investigate. I still don't know when I get my things.You're better off moving yourself with a truck. Greed and incompetence should be their motto.

They were supposed to deliver my POD on the 1st. They are now saying the 11th. All of my stuff is in it. We scheduled people to help unload for the 2nd and took off work. No explanation. No assistance. Hours on the phone trying to get it fixed.

Pete Slavick was the driver who dropped off our pod. Our driveway barely met their size cutoff—we appreciated Pete’s caution to deliver the pod without damaging the property. Good communication on the phone as well.Edit 6/13: Requested Pete to come again for pickup. He made a very tight pickup look easy. Appreciated his expertise and enjoyed meeting him. Thanks again.

PODS was the answer to a storage solution while I completed a 3-week home renovation. My furniture stayed dry during all the summer rain. The delivery and pickup drivers were always nice and answered any questions I had over the phone and upon arrival to my house. I just wish I could schedule exact times for the POD instead of waiting until the night before to get a 4 hour delivery window. Otherwise, great!

PODS worked great to me in that it allowed me time to settle in, get some items, settle in more then get the rest of my items. All the delivery/drop off drivers were great and communicated exceptionally. Watching the process of loading and unloading the was fascinating. Mr. W. Greene who picked up my PODS was a delight to chat with and great guy.The only compliant I have about PODS is the communication was excellent from corporate before the initial delivery. I was disappointed in having to call several times to find out when my PODS would be delivered to the storage facility.

I moved from Grants Pass, OR to Concord, NC. The scheduling, delivery, and drivers were all great. The two drivers in Concord were wonderful. I didn't get the name of the driver that dropped off, but the one who picked up was W. Greene. Thank you for being so professional and helpful.The one big disappointment though was the size. I rented an 8 ft POD. The actual dimensions on the outside were 7ft by 7ft. The interior dimensions were 6'7" by 6'7", which was extremely disappointing since the customer service rep at the corporate call center quoted me 7'1" by 7'4" in the interior. That is quite a difference if you're trying to fit as much in as you can.

The PODS team was great - always on time, efficient, super helpful. In particular, Kerry Huthoefer was great to work with both at the start and end of the rental. He was able to place and remove the huge POD exactly where we needed it and gave us tips to maximize the value. Real credit to his company!
