If I could give them 10 stars, I would! They recently did work on my son's 2006 Honda Hybrid Civic installing new break pads and rotors and solved a bizarre electrical issue! I couldn't be happier with their work and customer service!!!

I needed a quick correction to address the engine protective cover that another shop handled. Brandon, the owner, understood the urgency and made the necessary correction as a courtesy even though I had never been there as a customer! Very professional and outgoing! Thanks for the great service! I'll be back! Mike

I have taken vehicles here for the last 5 years or so. Brandon is very good and is indeed honest - estimates spot on, reasonably priced (often less than others in area), and most importantly the work he and his crew do is high quality!

I was referred to My Honest Mechanic by a friend a few months ago and after scheduling an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. I requested to have them look at what I thought was a wheel bearing as well. After waiting for my car Brandon came and informed me that he found nothing wrong as far as the wheel bearing so I kept driving. So after a few months of driving I started hearing a noise and because I was due for another oil change I figured I would give My Honest Mechanic another chance. So I scheduled an appointment which I had to wait a week. I dropped my car off the night before so it would be ready for them to get to 1st thing on Wednesday the 18th. I received a phone call from Brandon stating that after looking at my car...again they found nothing wrong again. So after arriving at the shop Brandon agreed to take a ride with me and after a short 5 minute ride he all of a sudden hears a 'faint' noise that he agreed sounded like a wheel bearing. After returning to the shop he told me I could bring it back to him so he can figure out what is wrong but he would need to put it back on the lift. He never offered an apology for my time and I found his behavior to seem quite disingenuous and he gave me the feeling as if he did not want to perform the work but he didn't want to flat out tell me to my face. So if Brandon's goal was to run a paying customer off...he definitely accomplished his goal! My buddy said he did not receive this type of service...I am just confused as to why ASE certified mechanics had such a difficult time fixing a wheel bearing that I initially thought to be the problem.

I've never actually been to my honest mechanic but did call to see if they could do a repair... They weren't able to get me in in the timeframe I needed so they recommended another mechanic down the road... I love a mechanic who is very helpful! Will definitely make me call them again for my next repair!

I had my 2013 First Fusion repaired here per recommendation of my brother. I had been advised by another shop that my vehicle needed a very expensive repair which I disagreed with since my car was not having any of the issues that would be related to this particular part. Honest Mechanic was my 2nd opinion, although I did not mention to them what the initial shop had recommended. Jeff was my primary contact and he listened intently to my description of the issue. After assessing the car he determined that it was the alternator (which was my initial guess) and he also recommended the serpentine belt be replaced. They ended up keeping the vehicle almost an entire week (due to various issues such as awaiting parts, exchanging defective refurbished parts, etc.). However, Jeff checked in with me everyday to keep me updated. Also, I had initially told him that time was not a major concern for me so this certainly not a complaint. It has been two weeks and my car, at 185k miles, is running well. I have not had any recurrence of the issues that I was initially having. I definitely recommend this shop and would return for future automotive needs.

My Honest Mechanic treated me very well. My truck had a whine for several weeks, it was a faulty power steering pump. With 140k on it they made sure to drive it after and found there were also some front wheel bearings going as well, causing some unwanted nice and wheel slop. It was a repaired and my truck runs as quiet as ever. 10/10 will go back.

I visited "The Honest Mechanic" for a State Auto Inspection recently. Parking is not very good; I had to park far away due to other stores being located in the business park. The receptionist seemed nice and the waiting area is clean. I had to wait about an hour, but once I got in, it didn't take long at all. After about 15 minutes of surveying my vehicle, Brandon informed me that I had a "pinhole" leak in my exhaust system, but he could probably get it to pass inspection. He also told me that my tint was 27% transparency ... illegal in NC, therefore it wouldn't pass inspection. After telling me what I could do to remove the tint from my windows, and charging $24 fee, he sent me on my merry way. So if you're looking for a thorough, detailed, state sanctioned inspection ... The Honest Mechanic will fix everything that's wrong with your car. Its just my opinion, but after waiting an hour, I think he could have extended the courtesy of not charging me, but oh well ... business is business right? Onward in my search for a Good Ol' School Mechanic. I probably wouldn't go back.
