I am very disappointed in cato Corp. I have been a faithful cato customer for many years. This morning was a miserable shopping experience. The store is without heat. How can anyone shop when they are freezing? And, do you have any concern for your associates that have to be there? I had the option to leave and you made no sale. Come on Cato and get this fixed.

Usually enjoy going to Cato but have found the staff at this location are often unfriendly and not welcoming. Usually have a nice selection but I would rather shop other Cato's most of the time.

I had the worst customer service yesterday. I was there to find an outfit for a funeral. I did get the standard greeting “Welcome to Cato’s” hollered from the front desk when I first walked in, but after that nothing. I found quite a bit to try on and when I asked one of the associates how it looked on and what shoes may go with it, she acted like she did not care in the least. Then after nobody asking if I needed anything else or asking to off load my pile of clothes I was lugging around while I looked at the jewelry, I stepped to the counter to check out. The associate was scrolling on her phone but heard me putting all my items down for almost a minute before even.bothering to look up and acknowledging me. when she finally did, she just stared at me awkwardly for about 30 seconds like she had no idea what to do. Or that I am supposed to say something to her. Not a word was said, not “oh , your ready to check out? “ or “ Dd you find what you were looking for?”… $156 and they could have cared less. I will not be back here again.

I went to Cato after my husband bought me a gift card for Christmas. I love their jeans! Best jeans I've ever had! So, I went there today to see what I could find. I know we are in the middle of a pandemic here and I know everyone is tired of the restrictions, trust and believe I am! HOWEVER, when I asked if I could try some things on she said, "no the dressing rooms are closed." Ok, fine I get it. What I don't get is that she only glanced at me before she put her head down to continue working at the desk. I asked about the return policy. She answered w/ the enthusiasm of a wet sock! Still no conversation or encouragement. So, I went to each rack and returned each item. I got not so much as an I'm sorry, please come back, can I help you with anything else, or have a nice day. Nada! I was in retail over half my adult life and retail IS customer service. I just don't see it anymore. It's so very sad! Store selection continues to get smaller while Amazon gets bigger. Unfortunately for that store I will never be back. Not because of the dressing room situation but because of communication.
