I just want to thank Trinady for the excellent customer service she provided during my recent car rental request. She was very pleasant and there were a few cars available in the class I reserved so I was able to get the exact vehicle that I needed for my trip.I loved that they have a practice of walking around the car with you so that any marks are noted. It was a quick and smooth process.Trinady you are a star and I appreciate your sweet spirit and for making this a great experience. May God bless you.-Jackie

WORSE budget everrrrr! Everytime i have a car either prepaid or not, they did NOT HAVE MY CAR. And of course today AND yesterday is one of those days for BOTH a truck & car. This one location didn’t have either vehicle on either day and I had to drive 30 MINUTES to the nearest budget to get another one. Their attitudes are horrendous even when they are the ones cause a huge inconvenience. We have a 6 HOUR ride to make and we are 2+ hours late and have to endure ATLANTA’s RUSH HOUR, all because this budget called at 8:50a to tell me my 9:00 prepaid car is not available and to call the 1-800 number to find another. Which btw took an HOUR to actually do become its a busy customer service line. Oh and did I mention the lady at this budget slipped up and said “we had your car yesterday but I gave it away” like what? Excuse me? You gave away a car I booked and prepaid a week ago to someone the DAY BEFORE.**If you’re the lady reading this, YOU SUCK as a human being and I hope you get fired the way you acted. Honestly, you don’t deserve to be customer facing. And you’re a very ugly person on the inside and outside :)Just save yourself some unneeded stress and problems, and find another budget. THE REVIEWS ARE REAL AND VERY MUCH STILL RELEVANT!

Trinity was super friendly and helpful. One of the most kind customer service interactions I've had and she made the booking /pick up process extremely easy and fast. I am surprised by the bad reviews, but think that most happy customers are not leaving reviews. Thank you Trinity! ?

I drove rental from Charlotte NC to Marquette MI. I ran car through local car wash before returning car. To my surprise I was charged $400 for exterior cleaning. Honestly the car was 20x cleaner when it was returned than when I picked it up. I am very disappointed and am awaiting a response from the site. Beyond disappointed with Hertz......

This is the most poorly run, unprofessional rental agency I have ever experienced. Not only did I have to wait an hour beyond my reservation time to actually receive my car, but they penalized me with a late fee when I brought it back ON TIME, because of this hour discrepancy (even though the "agent" went out of his way to tell me that I could bring it back anytime before close because of this inconvenience and it was all good). After bringing the mistake to his attention, he swore his hands were tied and there was nothing he could do, when he should have offered to call call corporate and straighten things out (because corporate doesn't answer consumer calls, and this is not an exaggeration. They'll indefinitely put you on hold). They don't clean the cars; they just grab the keys and pass them along to the next person (I witnessed this happen while I waited). Gold member status means absolutely nothing. In fact, a reservation means absolutely nothing. This used to be a decent place to rent from, but there are now a bunch of incompetent bums in charge.

Horrible customer service with minimum knowledge of their job. I tried to extend my vehicle a few days prior to my return date through the app and automated hotline which was considered to be successful but wasn’t.I later called the store to get assistance but was told that I had to return the vehicle due to a recall(engine catches on fire issue) on the vehicle. You want me to drive it to you and risk or be liable for a blown engine. When I got to the store the representative stated that she had to close out my current contract in order to exchange the vehicle and create another contract. That was not apart of my plan nor my extension request. Nor her or the customer service representative on the phone could make adjustments until I closed out the contract.My overall intentions was not to use the card on file when returning the vehicle on 7/11/23. All and all I became the bad guy because I was highly upset about the inconvenience of things based on their lack of knowledge.The contract that was previously on file could have stayed open until I returned the vehicle a few days later. She could have created a new contract regardless. I’ve had it done before when I forget car keys for a car through Budget in Augusta. I told the guy when I would be able to mail the keys to the store and he basically created a new contract with no problems. At that time I had 2 contracts open until I physically returned the keys.

BUYER BEWARE budget car rental is a scam I recently rented a compact car in February on pick up they told me I would only have to have a hold put on my card for the deposit which ended up being the full amount of the rental plus the deposit amount equaling 500$ upon return of the vehicle I was charged the amount of the rental 300$ twice so I ended up being out of 800$ when I was only supposed to pay 300$ still have not gotten my 500$ back to this day and everytime I call I get rude responses from customer service avoid at all cost at this point I'm considering it a fraud and pursuing further actions

We have appreciated manager John's high level of service over several flawless rentals BUT THIS TIME WE HAD BIG PROBLEMS with a Chrysler Pacifica hybrid.We were happy to learn that John handles the bad rental experiences properly...he listened, offered explanations (not excuses) and took care of the problems. Thanks, John!

Made an online reservation and when I went to get the car it took an hour. The car was dirty and it had a “maintenance required “ light flashing on the dashboard. No windshield fluid so I couldn’t even clean the windshield. Get home and find out the next day they charged me $450 for cleaning. I did get that charge reversed but still, take an hour to check out a car that needs service and is filthy then try to charge me to clean it?? Lesson learned, don’t go there to rent a car ever again.

I'm glad I had a backup plan! When we arrived to pick up our rental, they informed us it had not been returned the day before as scheduled. They did attempt to make a call and see if they could locate it. But we were not going to jump in a rental that had not been inspected or cleaned for a week. All though, I do not completely blame the service person, however, if you know the rental isn't there to get ready for the next customer, you could give a heads up is all I'm saying. It's just a little unorganized and truly unprofessional when people are expecting - needing- their rental.

Made my reservation more than 2 weeks ago, and with less than 24 hours before the trip, some lady from this store called me and tell me that they don't have any cars available. WHY DO YOU WAIT 24 HOURS TO LET CUSTOMER KNOW ABOUT THE ISSUE? .. she know I don't have a car for the trip and the only thing she could do, she gave me a number for me to resolve the issue, WHY DO YOU WORK THERE LADY? .. this company doesn't care, they never tried to even help me, they were like "we can issue a refund" ... at this point I NEED THE CAR I RESERVE AND PRE_PAID FOR!!!! ... budget you have the worst customer experience. please people AVOID THEM!!!!! ... they are only going to destroy your family vacation

Terrible in person customer service. Over charged for no reason at all. I was told I couldn’t call this place(where I got the car) for any billing relations. Called the 1800 number who couldn’t even figure out why I was over charged. Finally was issued a refund after waiting hours in queue. Gas tank was a slight notch before full and I was charged $45 for not being completely on full. Please save your time unless you were desperate like me!
