The pickup and drop off were very easy. Once we got in the car we immediately noticed the gas tank was less than 1/2 full and the paperwork said 512 miles with a full tank of gas when there was 1065 miles on the car. The car was not cleaned between us and the last person who rented the car. After a little time riding in the car my husband and I noticed ants crawling on us. We found over 10 ants on us and numerous on different parts of the car. We had to go buy a can of ant killer to fumigate the car so we wouldn't have ants on us or our snacks. I probably not rent from the Concord Airport Budget Car again in the future.

Do not rent a car from Budget Car Rental. This company refused to close out my rental for 10 days they continued to charge my card. I would not recommend Budget to anyone. I will never rent with budget ever again. The keys and paperwork to close out this rental were handed directly to the person behind the counter yet my agreement was not closed for 10 days. 10 days I was charged for a rental that should have been closed, fees on my credit card totaled more than $1000 for a rental of $272. No I would never recommend budget ever again.

This was the worst car rental experience I have ever had. The lady who checked me in (Anita or something) was extremely rude and unprofessional. She had the worst attitude and made for an unpleasant time. The car I was given had dents, scratches, and smelled like an ashtray.

DO NOT RENT FROM BUDGET! I HAD TO GIVE IT ONE STAR SO I COULD POST THIS, WHICH IS NUTSMy husband and I both senior citizens rented a car from your company. The car after two days broke down. I contact your co. in which they said if they sent someone out they would charge $130 for towing and they indicated we needed to find a Budget car store and return it. The closet store was 2 hours from where we broke down going backward in our trip. My husband paid a bystander to jump the car and we traveled back to Richmond, VA airport. We returned the car and picked up another one and traveled only one day; this car broke down and we called for help again. Trying to get through for help is a nightmare! The agent again said if they sent someone out we would have to pay for it. They said to try and get someone to jump it for us. This time it was hours before we finally had AAA send someone out. They tested the battery and it was dead. We called your help line again and they said return it to a Budget store for a new vehicle. They informed us there was one about 45 minutes away and they had cars. Knowing that the help line was not much help in the past we called the recommended store direct and they informed us they had NO vehicles. So we tried all Budget stores going out 100 miles with no luck. The help line also informed us that if we bought a new battery and had it installed we would be stuck with the bill. When the AAA person (my account) arrived he said we could either wait another hour or follow him to where he had new batteries. At this point we were stuck and had to buy YOUR vehicle a new battery for $265!! We followed him 45 minutes, waited for him to install it and then left. Bottom line of this story-WE MISSED A FAMILY WEDDING DUE TO WASTING VALUABLE HOURS OF OUR PRECIOUS TRIP, WE ARE OUT $265.00 FOR A BATTERY FOR YOUR VEHICLE, AND THE AMOUNT OF STRESS THIS PUT MY HUSBAND AND MYSELF IN- IRREPLACEABLE. We paid $1,133.74 on the 26th of August in Bangor. The agent there gave us $50 for our trouble and indicated that I need to contact customer service.

First time rental from BUDGET Rental. It was a smooth process everyone from the counter to the parking lot were very helpful. The car was clean, no long lines, this will be my go to place when I need to rent a vehicle.

Worst rental experience ever. Took 3 trips to get a vehicle that worked. No accommodations from Budget for the huge inconvenience of having to drive back twice to get replacement vehicles. Charged $143 for fuel service when I returned it with a full tank. Wasted hours of my time, nothing but useless apologies. Never again!

The mini van carrying 3 generations of my family was given to me with the front two tires bald no tread and wire coming through the rubber. I was more than halfway through to my destination when we pulled over for gas and my son driving another vehicle noticed the tires. I contacted the reservationist where I picked up the vehicle and was told to go to any budget and get a new vehicle. When I got to my destination I called the 1800 number and the roadside assistance number to get assistance in locating a vehicle that could accommodate the amount of passengers I had since this was a FAMILY vacation. I spoke to customer service in Mexico, Canada and God only knows where else. I was in Orlando, Florida on Memorial Day Weekend and was told there was no vehicles available that could accommodate me. Roadside assistance was a joke and the voice commands never got you to anyone to assist you. I was only able to speak to reservations who was clearly not trained or equipped to handle my situation. Needless to say I was petrified to drive anywhere and enjoy my vacation with my family at risk. I was forced to drive this same vehicle back knowing it was a safety hazard waiting to happen. I just lost my son in law in a car accident due to a tire so my anxiety was through the roof. I got back to Charlotte, NC Concorde Airport and asked for a manager. Gordon the manager of course apologized to me and offered to take a day of rental off. Explained to me that this vehicle just came from the maintenance shop the day I picked it up and was cleared for service. IMPOSSIBLE!!! My Son and I own an automotive repair shop, Intermind Auto @ 6910 Old Statesville Rd, Charlotte, NC 28269 and these tires would have never passed inspection in the state of NC. Budget put Me, My Son and 4 of my grandchildren at risk due to NEGLIGENCE.and catastrophic process and procedure failure on every level from maintenance to customer service and assistance I have pictures of the condition of the tires as proof and taking a day off of a rental is not acceptable on any level . 1 star only because I couldn't put 0

If I could give a zero stars I would. The young lady mercedes at concord airport in concord north carolina is so disrespectful. She cursed at me and hung up the phone I will never rent a car from budget again..

I've rented from this location twice, but never again. The staff lies about maintenance and cleaning. They are not checking, inspecting, cleaning, or doing anything with the vehicles between customers, but you're on the hook for smoking and everything else that happened in the vehicle prior...at least $450. The agent tells you to return the vehicle with the same level of gas as what's in it when you check out, but the rental agreements show them checked out with a full tank of gas...another $98. My first rental had serious and scary maintenance issues that I was assured had been taken care of, but just needed time to cycle through the system. I spent the weekend filling fluids, addressing tire leaks, etc. Although, my last rental did not have mechancal issues, the STRONG smell of marijuana, cigarettes, and febreeze never dissipated, and white powder smeared all over the seats. All of this while there was a paper was left in the vehicle showing it was cleaned and disinfected by James. After going back in to speak to the attendant, she admitted the vehicle had not been cleaned at all. I had to have her reprint the agreement showing the damage inside and outside of the vehicle, and that there was only 1/4 tank of gas in a big Durango, not a full tank as the agreement says. Yes, they will charge you as I learned after my first rental at this location. It does not matter what they say to you in person. Have them reprint an accurate rental agreement. I spent hours after my first rental with them. I hoped that experience was a one-off because the location is most convenient, but never again.

Renting a car at the Concord - Padgett Regional Airport is SO easy! The rental counter is within 10 ft of where you pick up your luggage, and then you just walk outside and go to the corner of the building to pick up your car. It couldn't be easier! An extra perk was an upgrade without requesting it!

Will never do service with this company again! Terrible customer service and I went off on the lil brat! One thing you don’t do is give me attitude and you’re the one in the wrong! Terrible location with the manager and the lil trashy customer service girl. Never again! They need a class on customer service and etiquette! PERIOD! Next time she’ll think twice before she treats someone bad again!

The license plate on the vehicle expired 2 months before my pickup. This means I wasn’t able to drive the vehicle as planned during my rental period. The person I dropped the car off to explained to me that it’s very common for Budget to have expired license plates on their vehicles. They stated that, in the event I am pulled over by a law enforcement officer for the expired tag, then Budget will reimburse me for the ticket. WOW.Two days after dropping it off I received an e-receipt by email. I see that a charge for fuel was added despite returning the car with a full tank. There was also a charge for an extra day added along with a late fee and all of the taxes associated with it. In total $225 was added on top of $450 for a rental I couldn’t drive legally.

Agent’s demeanor at the front desk was of one who didn’t want to be there. Did not go over my charges which I later found to be incorrect, and when I questioned said charges, she basically blew me off saying the estimate online doesn’t include everything. Very unprofessional.
