Carlie C's IGA is a long-standing local grocery store that has served its community since opening in February 1961. Originally established by Carlie C and Joyce McLamb as a small country store, it quickly gained a reputation for quality meats, fair prices, and friendly customer service. Over the years, the store has been known for its clean environment, well-stocked shelves, and helpful staff. Customers frequently mention the friendly employees, including a meat manager and a meat cutter who provide professional service and even offer samples of fresh seafood. The deli offers delicious chicken tenders and French fries, and the store often features fresh catch of the day. Many shoppers appreciate the fair prices, sometimes finding items cheaper than at larger chain stores. Customers also note the welcoming atmosphere, with staff engaging in friendly conversations that make shopping a pleasant experience. Despite some concerns about staffing and product availability, the overall impression is positive, reflecting a community-focused store that values quality and friendly service. Locals are curious about future improvements, such as new store locations, showing ongoing support and interest in the store's growth.
