I will always come back to Star Telephone for my internet services cause they are way better then these other ones out there and I can also trust them better then these other ones cause they do not go up on the price you pay without letting you know about it first. That is why I will always give Star Telephone a 5 ? rating.

I moved here from Raleigh 27 years ago and I am so proud of the way this company has grown despite the fact that we don’t have the level of major companies within our county that other counties have. Despite enormous damage our county has been through the last 20 years alone to natural disasters. Star has been beside this community through every bit of the recovery. During power outages, they immediately got generators to power the phone lines so that the people had a way to connect to each other. This while they too work in dangerous conditions at times of natural disasters. Their service people have to drive into areas that we are told to stay away from. Are the prices high? Yeah a little more than I can afford after this year possibly. Are service calls sometimes a bit slow? No, I don’t think so, we have simply become accustomed to a life of instant gratification. Take that down time and get to know your families or simply take time to smell the roses. And thank you star for 27 years of the friendliest customer service that can’t be found easily today. I remember that you’re actually human beings working behind that name. Oh and thanks for finally being able to start offering fiber optic cable services. But I’m glad you aren’t growing faster, it keeps the outside world’s craziness out a little bit longer.

I never understood how this medieval co is monopolizing a whole county it is disgusting. If the service was good that would be one thing. I have never been more embarrassed than when I spent the holiday weekend with a house full with family and had such a poor connection we could not stream anything. Star telephone is not a good company and one star is too much. They should not be in business. They are just Stone Age. Only 3G will get 5G in 2025 according to their so called customer service.

Never had a problem until the past two weeks. Internet doesn't even work after a certain time in the afternoon until early morning hours. I pay over $120 for internet and phone service,but can't even use it. ??

I have been with Star telephone for three years and I love the service and the price. The internet is very good and reliable. I have nothing but good things to say about the customer service. The internet has saved me a ton of money ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Star telephone abuses the fact that they are the main provider of internet services for Sampson county. They make no efforts to fix the problems that you encounter with having their service. They are unprofessional and rude. Basically you will pay $85 a month not to have any service at all.

I’m a current customer with star telephone and as others I have issues. The internet is the absolutely HORRIBLE. We also run at 1mbps with is a joke considering we pay $80 a month and have to wait days for things to download. I pray in the VERY NEAR future a company comes along and gives us the speed we need!!!!

Overall terrible service. Being a long time customer of theirs (not by choice), I have a few things to say. First, there is absolutely ZERO reason that in 2020 you should be paying over $75 for a 10 megabit up, 1 megabit down connection. Any other company would charge $40 AT MOST for such a subpar service. This company is still operating over DSL, and is reluctant to move over to fiber cables because they're afraid people will not want to pay the premium for it. With such an outrageous price for the slow connections, they may be right.Second, the actual internet connection is not great. Multiple drop-outs each day, and 90% of the time, you're not going to get the 10mb/s you're paying for. For the past few days we have been running at a constant 1mb/s speed, have tried reaching out, and nothing. Terrible customer service and even worse internet service. Sadly, this is what you're stuck with when moving to rural Sampson county, I guess. As soon as a big chain company comes and lays wire in the ground they're going to be regretting their crazy marketing practices.
