Brought in my weed eater for repair. Repair completed earlier than expected and it is working great! Why the not 5 star review? The day I brought it in I explained my name and number are the contact not my spouse.When I arrived to pick up the weed eater( May 29 at 5 pm)the young man could not find me in the system..I gave him the number and my name several times. He was short with me " not here" he stated.repeatedly. He said the only way to change the information in the system would be to buy something. The manager came out..and asked me, What name is on the ticket? I told him. he stated." What other name? I told him He stated " what other name ?.. I finally said my husbands name and he said RIGHT! Very unprofessional! In the end the original ticket was not filled out correctly. The new number was typed in the description and my name was spelled wrong and my husbands name had been entered with his contact information. I was treated as if I had done something wrong..like not knowing my own name.. very sad and disappointing. No apology. No kindness.

There were alot of workers standing around talking. The guy (young,, curly hair, from Costa Rico) that helped us was knowledgeable.

Bought the new EPOS auto mower and had Travis do the install. The install was done professionally the mower works great. I have had it for a few months now , and all good. The install itself was very professionally done , wires and power for satellite receiver were hidden perfectly. Programming of the mower was also performed, only had to make very slight adjustments. One item that really impressed me was when I mentioned that my neighbor (who I am related to) stated he might want one , Travis commented that “this one could do both yards”. He didn’t try and upsell another mower but provided a solution. As long as my family keeps cooking me dinner , they can get the lawn mowed as well.

Went in to ask a question about my mower, needed a belt, was treated like I was a problem at the desk , I live in Clayton, have bought feed and and many things , I will now drive to Garner to get ANYTHING that I need , asked Travis for help, sold me the wrong belt after I told him what I needed part number and everything, I asked about it being different and was basically treated like I was wasting his time, save your time for all outdoor power needs just go to garner location they are amazing

I bought the weed puller and tried in my yard to pull weed but it doesn’t work as good as the advertisement. I came back and returned the lady at cashier desk told me it’s been used and I will not able to return it. I told her there’s nothing wrong with it. I’m not happy with it and it’s doesn’t work for what it designed for. I want to talk to the manager then She told me she will do it one time only.

Best prices on sone things. Decent selection of flowers, but a little pricey. Very friendly, very helpful staff.

I have lived in this area for almost 15yr. I have shopped at Hudson's Hardware off and on for 14 of those years. Unfortunately, I have decided to stop going there mainly because of the OUTDOOR AND EQUIPMENT department. When I speak to them I feel like I'm talking to high schoolers with shady ethics. I have had two other issues in the past (same department) but this time they sold me the wrong part even after I gave them the make and model number for my lawn tractor. Obvioualy, I didn't know they gave me the wrong prat (starter Solenoid) until I try to start it up. It didn't hurt the part it just wasn't strong enough to start my mower. I don't like using old parts but I put an old one on my mower that I had and it started right up so I took the one that I just bought from Hudson's not even 24 hr earlier and the fist guy was so frustrating. It was obvious he had no clue what he was doing, that was probably because he was young and wasn't exprienced enough to take care of this so I asked to speak to the manager so I could get it taken care of. While I was waiting on themanager I noticed that there was another solenid sitting on the desk that looked just like the one they sold me and it was out of it's bag (not sealed) which is were the shady ethics comes in. The manager pointed out on the bottom of the receipt that a line has been added stating they don't accept returns on storm related equipment or electrical items. Then I told him that there is nothing wrong with it, y'all just sold me the wrong item. And he told me that they didn't sell me the wrong part. He didn't even look it up. It was obvious where this was going. Then he took it back to "test it" then came back and said there is nothing wrong with it. I thought to my self good then he will just refund me and I would pick up my chicken feed and be on my way. Nope, then he tells me that's why he can't return it ? then we went back and forth about it. Far as the rest of the story goes. Hardware, animals heath and lawn gardens even the ladies up front all have been great. They know me and my kids. Garden even has my number for when certain plants come in. I gave myself a couple of day to cool off before I left a review like this because I did not want to do it out of anger. So with that said I have made my mind up to stop going there on principle. All of this over a $15 part.
