I stopped here for fuel. I also went inside the convenience store. They had all the expected food and snack items as well as some apparel. I spotted a pretty t shirt. It was screen printed with flowers and Great Smoky Mountains. Needless to say, I bought it!

I just recently moved back to Cherokee and needed a temporary job while I got my business resituated. I run a living history organization and travel to establish new chapters.I stopped in at this location and asked if they were hiring. The lady said yes and asked if I had time to fill out an application. I was in a hurry at the time so I asked if I could take the application and bring it back. I was told that if I took the application out of the doors that when I brought it back, it would just be thrown away immediately.I run a business and that is very unprofessional and a great way to miss out on potentially great employees.I just wanted to share this because I myself have worked 50-80 hours a week for different companies for years and I always show up on time and learn quickly. I see myself as a great employee. But because I was told that my application would be thrown away if I didn't fill it out in the store, I lost all interested in providing my time to this gas station.

I came into the store to buy an innertube on 7/23/21, located at 719 Seven Clans Ln in Cherokee NC. We did not need the inner tube until Saturday, 7/25/21. We could not use the tube, as we wished, because it did not have a built-in bottom. We took it back to the store to return it. On my honor, we did not use it. The store has many inner tubes and could easily sell this one again. When I brought it back, I was told there were no returns. I explained my situation, and one associate did call someone to see if we could return it. The associate relayed there were no returns. I inquired why there was no return policy posted, and they said none was needed. I asked if I could get store credit and buy something else in the store. One associate misinterpreted what I was requesting and said I was being mean. I was not trying to be mean and realized it had to be a misunderstanding. She was going to call again and ask about the credit but decided not to after she said I was mean. The associate said I could talk to the manager in the morning. I called the store the next morning and talked with the manager. She said there were no returns on an inner tube that was two days old, but explained I could have returned it if I brought it by a day earlier. I understand the trust factor, but one day should not make a difference. When I mentioned the return policy was not posted, the manager said it was a gas station, and I should know that returns are not possible. She also added, that in the two years she had worked there, no one has tried to return an inner tube. At this point, I mentioned I was not receiving good customer service. The conversation ended quickly, and the manager said she would have the owner call me "when or if" available. The manager hung up and did not take my number or write my name down. I called back two times to leave my number, and no one answered. I hope no one else gets treated this way, and it would benefit all to have a sign posted about returns in the future. Unhappy vacationer :(

This has got to be the cleanest and most organized small gas station in what seems like the-middle-of-nowhere I have been to, so it deserves a shout out. I was on a road trip from good ole ATL to Gatlinburg for my moonshine run *wink/, and drank too many sodas on the way. I found this little gem, but I was skeptic at first since these types of gas stations out here in the boondocks can be wildin' out sometimes, ya dig? But nah, not this one. It was quiet, neat, and super organized inside. There was a sweet lady behind the counter, and after purchasing a couple of items, I head on to the restroom and was pleasantly surprised at how clean the restroom was, as humble as it was. So yeah. You know, just thought I should give them a shout out.
