The room we had reserved online as soon as we walked in the room a very, very strong smell of weed hit me! There was a connecting door inside the room and I'm sure that was where the smell was coming through.
I know weed is legal in Cherokee now but there are signs posted saying no smoking. I'm very sensitive to smells and smoke and would have been sick if I'd stayed in there. Luckily the guy behind the desk got us another room with no connecting door and that room was better.
Just be aware of that if you stay here. Also there is a sign at the desk saying 250 fine for smoking but I doubt it's enforced. Also it's kind of weird there's no outside sign saying what hotel this is. As you can see from my photo, it's blacked out.
Edited to add the photo that I took in the new room bathroom the towel holding the hand soap had the yellow stain on it from the soap dish not being clean. Also I had to clean pubes off toilet and in shower. Yuck!
Also the pool was closed even though it's had water in it. From the reviews I've read on here the pool is always closed. They shouldn't advertise a pool if it's never open. Also included a picture of the gym there. It's just a treadmill and a bicycle with some weight balls. There was a water dispenser in the gym but there was no water in it.

Decent rooms consistent with most choice hotel properties. Good variety at breakfast, but unfortunately the pool was closed. Coming back from the casino late at night, noticed that there was no lighting in the parking lot.

The rooms are clean, bed is comfortable and the customer service is superb.
I came over from Ohio to work, and they went out of their way to make my stay pleasant.

Had a great stay at the Chrokee Inn! The staff was super friendly and helpful from the time we checked in. Our room was large and clean and very comfortable! The location of the place was as close to civilization or the highway that you could be in Cherokee, NC and I highly recommend you check out the reenactments nearby.
I loved the hotel they had a great gym where I went for a run and then cooled off in the warm clean pool. Breakfast was delicious I had eggs toast and sausage and I will definitely be back someday.
I highly recommend this hotel.

shell gas station is pretty close along with other restaurants, hotel was clean when we got it and the rooms look really nice. Breakfast area looks nice too but they didn't have any juices available, other than that it was great
Food & drinks: The drink machine didn't work.

Rooms: Very clean and comfortable.
Nearby activities: Was near to downtown and no traffic restrictions.
Safety: Very quite. No partiers. Everyone was congenial. No one unsavory in the parking lot.

Great hotel. I give 5 stars for being clean. Quiet,room very comfortable,staff is nice,helpful. Close to attractions. Breakfast was great. Good coffee,tea,hot chocolate served all the time. sausage,eggs,toast,bagels,muffins,
best oatmeal,juices,waffles and more. Will definitely stay there when back in Cherokee and will recommend.
Rooms: Clean,comfortable.
Food & drinks: Great food. When we arrived the staff was making cookies or the guests. Breakfast us great,lots of variety.
Noteworthy details: Items supplied in the bathroom. Lots of space.

Cleaned well with friendly staff, but outdated and in need of repair. Our room smelled terrible and the carpet was filthy stained and gross. The bedding, towels and bathroom were clean. Breakfast was good. Convenient affordable location when attending a concert at the casino.

This is an extremely clean and classy hotel with a superb staff. Rebecca and Sandy allowed an early check in as we had evening train reservations in nearby Bryson City, helping us avoid a 9pm check in. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast is superb with a very professional, friendly and helpful attendant. This location is close to elk viewing in the national park, Cherokee and Bryson City.

Cherokee Inn was very clean.

I recommend this hotel due to cleanliness and location. Hot Breakfast was much better than other hotels in this area.
Rooms: Rooms are adequate with Microwave, refrigerator no freezer. Coffee Maker, Queen size beds comfy and rooms clean.
