If you have children please be careful! There is a huge aggressive dog here!!
We walked by the store today looking at the furniture through the window. we were walking by with my four small children a huge dog tried to jump through the glass door, growling and acting crazy. It was a vicious huge dog that was extremely aggressive. It was as bigger than my four year old. My younger kids were absolutely terrified and crying. Even as an adult it left me shaken up. I could never imagine a business owner allowing such an aggressive animal in the store. Thank god the glass did not break we all took off running into a busy parking lot. There was a lady sitting in her phone in the store and didn’t even bother to apologize or even try to get the dog. It was jumping on the doors and the doors were about to bust. This is a danger waiting to happen. I wanted to go back and get a picture of the animal but I will never go to or around this store or suggest it to anyone. You can tell this was not a dog just wanting to play, we have dogs and enjoy them this dog was trained to be aggressive.

Super friendly staff. We love our custom hall tree and it was affordable for the quality. It is a large piece and the staff stayed after hours to help us load it into our truck. We also purchased a small bookcase and accidentally lost the shelf pins in our move. They were a unique style and size and they graciously mailed us another set for free. Highly recommend!

I ordered a 42 inch square pedestal unfinished table from Unfinished Furniture Shop. The initial table came with the wrong pedestal. David discovered that the manufacturer did not update their catalog to reflect the correct pedestal options for that type of table. To resolve and remediate the issue he reordered the correct pedestal and had Emily stain the table no charge. She did an excellent job on the table. Her attention to detail was very high. Emily's artistic skills are really displayed in this table. David also personally delivered the table to me and assembled it no charge. That is excellent customer service in the midst of a challenge. Based on my experience I recommend this company.

I purchased a corner unit executive desk from The Unfinished Furniture Shop and while the desk is beautiful, from day one I had a problem with all the drawers in the desk. They don't stay closed. I close the drawer and moments later, the drawer slowly opens up again. I spoke to Dave Fletcher numerous times and his final response was, "...there's not much we can do. I spoke to the manufacturer and they never heard of this problem." Dave offered no assistance whatsoever. Very disappointed and I wouldn't buy anything from The Unfinished Furniture Shop again. Little to no customer support.

We drove half-way around Charlotte trying to find two tough wooden bookcases. None of the big brand stores had anything like we needed. Went to several outlet stores too, and all we could find were curio cases, wardrobes and dressers mostly made of MDF. Finally someone at one of the stores we went to suggested checking out The Unfinished Furniture Shop. Wow! Were we pleasantly surprised! All the furniture is SOLID wood. Everything was sturdily made. Dave was super helpful and friendly. Got what we needed ordered and will be coming back for a replacement dinning room table and chairs, and a couple dressers.

I keep coming back to Unfinished Furniture for the customized finishing stains. I am adding updated pieces to a mid century blonde mahagony bedroom set. Finishing stain match is perfect!

The furniture we ordered was great quality. We had an issue as the armoires were too wide for the bedroom door. Dave, the owner went above and beyond as he removed the top molding and personally was able to get the furniture into the room. He then reattached the molding and retouched the stain. He never wavered as he was certain he would get the pieces into the bedroom. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. The quality and service are second to none.
