Came in looking for a few new things for my wedding and bri (hopefully that’s her name, I didn’t catch it while I was there so I had to call in and describe her) she was a huge help!! Understood my skin issues and found amazing products that worked for my skin type, she introduced me to Estée Lauder and fell in love with that 24 hour west foundation, so much so that now my maid of honor is wearing the same one because she loved it! When she showed me an amazing face base that did not make me oily or patchy, Bri saw they were out of stock of the travel size (only size in my budget, which she was super respectful of) she said she was going to make sure I had some for my wedding day and a trial run before hand too, and boy she did not disappoint, she sent me home with several samples of the face base and a few other products as well!! (Don’t worry once I saw the product back in stock I went in to purchase that travel size!) Thank you Bri!! I will make sure when I come back I go to you!! Everyone there was extremely friendly and the store was clean and well stocked.

I came in yesterday 7/29/24 around 2pm for my free bday item. There was a pretty girl with colored eyes working the cashier and another girl named Vivian (I believe that’s here name, dark hair, acne covered with makeup, slim.. unsure of her race) gave me the hardest time. She pulled my profile and seen it was my bday. However, because someone entered my email wrong on their end, her and the manager on duty tried to make me just thru hurdles for a free travel sized item. It took away from my experience and really made me feel away.

Clearly understaffed and probably underpaid. Extremely low stock on most products. Displays filthy and a mostly empty. Way too long of a wait in checkout line and stores out of all promotional gifts it seems. pointless to do physical shopping here now vs online elsewhere

While I like Ulta for the wide variety of brands they carry, the sourcing tends to be an issue, especially when it comes to items that range in a variety of colors or shades. They miss the mark with inventory control, never replenishing or ordering larger quantities of the popular, fast selling items.

i normally like this location but my recent experience wasnt that great. i was early for my online order so its not their fault that it wasnt ready however once the person finished scanning it out, she asked for my id and email confirmation. i told her that i didnt have my ID with me & normally they would just look at the email confirmation, but she didnt even do that. i think she thought i was a sus person bc i wasnt 100 percent sure if the item she was holding (as she was ready to scan it out) was mine. but back to my compliant, i am aware that shes just doing her job but please train every single person thats working for pick up to enforce the id checking rule, everytime i go to an ulta or any retail store the worker approves just the email, (if you tell them that you dont have an id) so it confuses people when certain workers bypass it. i would hate for someone to have to cancel their entire order or come back another day just bc that worker out of everyone decides to enforce that one rule that everyone bypasses.

This location is quite clique-y & gives off “Mean Girls” vibes, & it really can depend on who checks on an item for you whether you get actual help & answers or not. On Friday at 11:45AM I came to this location because the website this location had the new e.l.f. Jelly Pop Lip Oil in stock & I wanted to grab one for my friend’s birthday weekend. The front desk associate wouldn’t repeat the product correctly to the manager on the headset checking in the back for the stock, she kept saying “the elf jelly something? Idk.” I don’t expect every associate to know every product, but if I’m holding my cell phone showing you the product & id, why do that? Anyway, after 10 minutes she got back to me that the managers in the back confirmed “We got it with truck this morning, but the box it’s in is at the very bottom of a stack, so we won’t be putting it out until tomorrow. Come back after tomorrow morning.” Normally, associates will just get the product & put it out, especially when it’s dead like the store was… sorry, but if 3 people are standing behind the counter whispering in their headsets or practicing credit card sale talking points instead of getting product out or helping customers, you have time to move some boxes & get a hot new product out. I came back the next day & was told the same thing, it was in stock in the back & not out yet. I came back today with my husband (this is now the third day) & the manager at first said there weren’t any available because there weren’t any on the floor in the new display AND because there was only 1 green check mark showing they were available at this location - available for in store purchase had a green check next to it, but available for pickup or delivery did not. I obviously just wanted to make an in store purchase, & I explained I was told it came Friday & to return when it was on the shelves, & that the only 1 green check thing had never been an issue before unless items had been stolen & weren’t accounted for as such. The 2 employees & manager behind the register (again the store was mostly empty) were annoyed their convo about selling credit cards was interrupted. 3 stayed behind the counter while someone checked in the back. It took 10 minutes for someone to update through the headset that 6 were in stock & they’d bring 1 out shortly. Another 5 minutes later the update was that they actually didn’t have any in the back. This is 3 days of being told a product is in stock in the back but that it is in a hard to reach box or now on the third day that there are 6, but it must just be showing up that way, they’re not in the back now. They just do what they want, which is the least, especially if you don’t have makeup on & need actual help. Won’t be back!

Since the departure of few of the staff that I knew over years, the e place kind of deteriorated a little bit. Their price possession, the new beauty bar is an excellent shape for I still go to Barbara who has their own place, Barbara's place which is nearby. .
But I was a little bit surprised to see that they had more drawers that were broken and the one near the register has been broken for now two months. I'm shocked.

There are not many Ulta locations in Charlotte. This one is super far from my house but Ulta is the only beauty supply store that sells the marula oil that I was looking for. I don't go to Ulta often enough to understand their layout, but things weren't labeled well enough for ease spotting. This location was super busy. The line was extremely long, I waited over 30 mins just to get checked out. Overall I'm glad they carried what I was looking for.

So, it was time for a new fragrance collection. I didn't know what I was really going for, but I knew I wanted a balance of floral & fruity. So, I tried Gucci "Floral" (grern bottle). It smelled amazing, but that's not what I was going for at the time. I tried a few other scents, but then I was also looking for a gift set. They had some amazing deals. Clinique has a 12 pk travel spray set for $52. Unbeatable deal. I actually chose Marc Jacob's "Daisy" & smells like Paradise. It's not overpowering with the scents. Of course, they had a set & it was only $79. I added a sugar body scrub by Tree Hut. It smells like you're on a vacation in the islands. Everything came to $93. I'm very happy with my purchase. They also have lotions on sale along with the body scrubs. Check it out! I promise you won't be disappointed.
