Den of thieves! They stole 5,000 of my money by promising line of credit for my company and with zero basis deny my loan and refused to return my money!

The State of California EDD issues benefit payments for Disability Insurance, Paid Family Leave, and Unemployment Insurance claims using the EDD Visa Debit Card issued by BofA. Let me say this first. Someone made a snide comment that my benefits are from taxpayers' money. Yes and I have been paying into the fund for years. In 2020 alone, I have paid $11,000 into SDI. If you qualify for EDD benefits, take every advantage in doing so. Follow my surgery, I received approval for SDI and my debit card arrived in about a week. There's no embossed imprint with your name, just the account and cvv numbers. No chip either. You activate the card with the toll-free number and create a pin. Important points and tips:The customer representatives of BofA are very helpful. The bank has nothing to do with your benefits. If you have questions about benefits, contact EDD. You can make free cash withdrawals from BofA ATMs There's a fee if you don't use their ATM. You cannot add cash to the account. If you use the card for a purchase and decide you want a refund, it will not reverse to the card. You and the merchant have to resolve it. You can have your payments automatically transferred to your own bank checking account. This cannot be done online. You have to call and request it. Have your routing and account number ready. After your benefits end, keep the card. In case you reapply for EDD benefits within one year, the card will still be active.

Do not use their CC. Since March I've been trying to get through to them with over 1hr wait and dropped calls. Anyway long story short, I got through today after 3 attempts to request late fee removal due to my money coming in slowly because of Covid. I was told they couldn't help me because I was a day late in January. Really? I have 3 CC and every single one has stopped late fees and interest. This is the only card I've had issues with. Users beware, I recommend Amex and Citi. Stay away from BoA.

I've been banking with Bank of America and all their names before the current time for over 50 years. I have never seen such sorry service, the inability to find someone to speak with regarding the closures of branches close to me. I need 5s,10s, etc. to pay various expenses and hate using my debit or credit cards for small purchases. The branch I usually visit is closed and no signs indicating when it will reopen. Being partially paralyzed due to illness some years ago, I find it difficult in some areas due to parking and walking various distances. I will, in the very near future, transfer all my account from Bank of America to some location that caters to customers and has a phone number where I can actually speak to a representative regarding my concerns. BANK OF AMERICA HAS NOW BECOME #1 ON MY 'DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH IN THE FUTURE, LIST. SORRY CUSTOMER OR NO CUSTOMER SERIVCE!

This review is for BoA online. Certain functions on the website and through the mobile app doesn't work as advertised. Also, the ability of online support staff to help fix problems is very limited and not helpful. I'm very disappointed with these banking tools.
