Called 800 number at 11:15 AM this morning it is now 12:00 PM and I'm still on hold. I've been calling for 3 days and hold time was over an hour so I hung up. I'm disputing a charge. After 45 minutes on hold someone answered put me on hold again and I'm still on hold. I'm now looking for a new bank. By the way I'm still holding. It is now 12:42 PM and I'm still on hold. These people should have their pay on hold until the learn how to accomplish adiqit customer service!!

I called the company today about interest charges on my statement that should have been waived for a 12 month promo period. The man I spoke with was very short with me and treated me like I was an idiot. I will never do business with this company again. The one thing that these employees have control over is their customer **********************. This man lacked decency and respect for customers which is the least of what I expect from a business. Shame on him for his treatment of me!!!

Just found out that Truist charges $3 fee if you withdraw from a non-Truist ATM. I have their platinum level checking and can't believe they would not provide that benefit. Now I have to shop for another bank, any ideas?

In total Apple took 36 transactions from me back in July, including up to 20 in one single day. I filed a claim thinking that the obvious thing to do was add all of the July transactions together, instead they added two July dates and one August date totaling 31 transactions. They then send me letters saying that I had been credited by the merchant four times 49.99 and three times 19.99. The amount did not add up so I called to find out why and that’s when I find out that they never added the other two July dates. I had to file another claim for that and they told me I had received all the merchant credit for it; which really wasn’t making any sense. I was given some credit towards one disputed claim ( or one and one) but not both. I had to get the 199.96 (49.99x4) and 59.97 (19.99x3) that I was missing back. Apple had taken 49.99 -15 times and 19.99- 8 times between those 4 July dates. So the bank shouldn’t have said I received all merchant credit when I didn’t, I was missing what they debited. I spoke to about 8 different representatives who didn’t understand, two sent me to the branch, I went to the branch and they told me they couldn’t see my transactions that far back to call, so they were making me go in circles. So when I finally spoke to one representative that I asked to speak to a manager too, she looked at my claim and managed to see what so many others couldn’t and sent my claim for a second review. If you use this bank and file a claim make sure they file the correct dates and number of transactions in one claim.12/27 update: So the girl lied, probably to not send me to a manager and never sent my claim for a second review. Because she lied this review now deserves 0 stars instead of 1. The rep who spoke to me today was decent enough to email me and get this figured out.

What a disaster. BB&T merges with Sun Trust and Truist. Since the mergers I have been turned away trying to cash a check with an excuses the bank doesn't have cash. I have had a wire transfer delayed because no one new how to do use the wire system. The drive through at my new Tuist bank isn't working and both the branch and customer service phone numbers at the Charlotte headquarters have no humans to speak with unless you want to wait for an unreasonable period of time. Truist is a disaster bank

I had an auto loan with Sun Trust and had NO problems until they merged with Truist. I logged onto my online account with Truist and states now I do not have any payment due until May (3 months away) which is absurd since you have a loan payment every month! I have been on hold for over an hour and half and no one has a clue what to tell me or do! I would highly recommend using another financial institution!

I am almost a new customer with Truist Bank, almost 4 months , feels like forever, but my journey starting with this company thru a Honda SUV being financed through them. If I could give no stars , that would be great, how I feel about this corporation now. The headquarters is Charlotte NC, and these are a few names that are at top and help made this corporation, Mr. William Rogers Jr, Mark Hancock, Ellen Fitzsimmons, and etc. This bank name stands for” unselfish concerns for the welfare of others” I am beginning to doubt that motto. I am frustrated and disappointed that my credit with all four credit bureaus has been inquired twice by this company, and lowered my credit rated scores, each times. This is, selfish unprofessional and almost intentional. I don’t know if it is because I am a black female and a disabled veteran, but anyhow I submitted paperwork for a personal loan, and hand carried my financial documents to Truist Bank twice, each time I received a certified letter with my credit rating score and stating that my income verification could not be verified, each time, my credit rating went down. I have received a third letter about a week ago with same unprofessional reply. I have two different income going to this bank, how is this happening and who is allowing this to happen. If anyone, is this is happening to you , let it be known. Now my credit score is all jacked up(tamper with , which affects my livehood and my financial abilities to build a better live. This should be wrong and unacceptable by any person, company, and organization.

If I could give 0, I would. Truist started charging my FREE checking account I had for years thru Suntrust $20 per month. They started taking it without notification in April 2022 and I didn't notice until Sept. 2022. $100 was taken by Truist from my account before I realized because this is an auxiliary account I have. When I called them, they told me they changed my account in the merger. I told them they can't just do that without notifying people. The lady on the phone told me policy was to only allow $75 per customer courtesy fee removal. I told her I'd like to speak with the manager and she put me on hold and dropped my call after waiting in queue for 10 min. I called back 3 more times on different days before I received my remaining $25 that was taken by Truist. As soon as it was put back, I drove directly to the nearest branch and closed my account. When I went to the branch on Eastway Drive, there was a sign on the door that the lobby was closed for lunch and to use the drive thru. There were people standing amongst cars waiting for a teller. It was ridiculous. A man was raising his voice to the teller. Obviously something was wrong with his account also. I had been reading on Facebook several people in Charlotte were complaining and leaving several negative reviews. So, I was immediately regretting not paying any attention to them when I saw that because if I had closed my account then, I would not have been in this predicament.I went back thru my old statements to see if I had missed a notification. The ONLY thing I found was a bold statement at the top that said your account has changed and then provided a link. Well no wonder ! Who clicks on links ? If you have an account here, I suggest you leave quickly while you still can.

These guys don't have a clue. I had major problem with them. My only real customer service option was to write the CEO a letter, which I did. Now I have received 2 voicemails that they are researching it and gave me a case number, LOL, and a case manager. Here's how it works, Truist. You talk to the customer having the problem and ask him. That's how you 'research'. No one has done that.

I don't normally like to give negative reviews, but I feel as if this one is necessary. I was with BBu0026T before the merger and had very minimal issues. When I did have an issue it was usually resolved fairly quickly and professionally. I won't go into full details of my experience with Truist, because it is a rather long story, but I will say that they are inconsistent within their banking practices and do not seem to care how it effects their customers at all. Please reconsider before putting your money here. I promise there are better banks who are more consistent in their practices and will treat you with respect and care.

Since the merger customer service is more than terrible. Not sure why I don't change banks, even though that would be a real pain. Had to wait over 20 minutes to talk with a supervisor at the main customer service number but no one came on the line. I hung up. I called the local branch on Tuesday this week and left a message. I emailed the manager of the branch the day prior. It is Friday and no called back or returned my email. You can't find a number for corporate or regional offices. Terrible customer service. I would NOT recommend anyone open an account with this bank.
