“Catherine just handled an estate sale for me. I was moving into a new house and starting over and buying everything new. I was overwhelmed with thinking about the clean out. Catherine came to my rescue and made my move soooooo easy. All I had to do was box the things I wanted to keep and she took care of the rest. She had a two day sale at my house and cleaned out everything I didn’t want. Whatever furniture didn’t sell at the estate sale she took to her thrift store to sell. I knew I wouldn’t get much from my used furniture with trying to sell it on marketplace myself, so why the hassle at such a busy time in my life. Catherine is so personable and actually cares about helping people. I would use her EVERYTIME. Thankyou .. Cat.. for making my move so easy. You’re a Gem!!”

“Bought an xbox 360S here. It’s been working great, and it was only $60. I’ve come back several times to buy games and all of them have been in great condition, and at a good price. The place constantly gets new stock in it seems, and sometimes you can find some truly rare items here (though the really rare stuff is often much more expensive)”

“Only leaving 4 stars because of the way they tag their clothes. I just recently came in and selection was awesome and they had MANY great brands, I even ended up finding lulu. I would have left without A LOT more but I had to put many pieces back because they staple the tags into the clothes and I knew I would be unable to take the tags off without leaving a hole in the clothes so just keep that in mind if you plan to shop here.”

“Really good neighborhood thrift store on Monroe Road. Great books and clothing and housewares. The staff are amazing and are a wealth of knowledge. They have sales frequently. Its all Greek all the time. Bought a brand new NFL salute to service Jersey for just a few bucks. If you thrift, this is your spot.”

“I like to browse the store to see what catches my eye. Not really a place you can count on something being there that you are looking for. The sections are well labeled and organized. The items are fairly clean.The prices on most items are decent.”
“One of my favorite thrift stores. They have great prices, a section for slightly more upscale/more expensive, but not unreasonable for most items. I've found many items in the past. But the reason I gave it 4 stars - they changed the layout of the store - removing the coat/jacket section(maybe because it was summer?) but they were more organized before the change. I hope they bring back the regular sections. Our last visit was the rare time we didn't find what we were looking for (a hoodie), maybe because of the upheaval of the placement of goods/missing coat section.”
“We have been finding treasures there off and on for years and years.... even when it was part of a previous company. Great location and plenty of parking. It really is the kind of place you want to visit at least 1x a week because you never know what fabulous item/s are going to arrive next. Highly recommend a visit or 10.....”
“The store was clean- and we had to wait a few minutes for an employee to come to the cash register. I would recommend a bell at the register on slow days to alert the team that someone is ready to checkout”
“I visited this location with the grand. She found some pullovers, sweatshirts, and t-shirts for school. She was thrilled, and I was happy she learned to shop without spending much money. Besides, she has no money, and this trip put a small dent in my pocket. We arrived late afternoon, and there were still many clothing options available.”
“I want to thank everyone that donated their holiday items at the Balantyne Goodwill off Lancaster highway. It was a wonderful sight to see how goodwill employees displayed your trees, center pieces, pillows, wreaths cones, table settings,bells, ribbons, wrapping papers, candle holders, candles,trees decorations, and tree topping. Every employee was always willing and ready to work hard for the holiday keeping the shelves fully stocked . ThankYou Goodwill for helping me be able to have an amazing holiday display. “I've called a few thrift stores with a few questions today as I'm new to Charlotte and 95% of them have been rude and tell me, they don't know or they don't have time that I have to come in and see .(They were questions like do y'all sell tie's and what time do you all close I know to keep it short and sweet because I work in customer service) BUT when I called Carolina Thrift the girl that answered was super nice and answered all my question without hesitation. She restored some hope in me that there are still nice people that work and are happy to do their job. To her I want to say THANK YOU for being kind to me and to the management team THANK YOU for creating an environment that workers are happy in because good customer is so hard to find these days! I will definitely be in this afternoon. Thank you so much again ?”
“Pretty alright Goodwill. It seems like there is a lot of turnover of the books, DVDs, and clothing so if you revisit you're not just seeing the same stuff again and again. They did get rid of the fitting room which isn't good though.”
“I'm not gonna lie, when I first walked in I thought I was working behind the scenes seeing all the customers next to the giant bins of clothing and their own large clothes bins. Unfortunately for me, I was looking for more ceramics and unusual knick knacks and was greatly disappointed to see that only the left wall was for those items and very few were actually there.
If you're looking for clothes this Goodwill is great, but if you're looking for knick knacks, ceramics, or glassware this is not the place to be.”
“The gentleman with the funky eyebrows and Billie Eilish hair is adorable! He was super helpful as some of you may know Goodwill does not give plastic bags. He helped me carry my large purchase to my car, and just overall great service! I appreciated the genuine kindness because I know he did not have to do that.”
