Maybe this will get the ball rolling. I booked a one night stay September 28th through my credit card points which was directly billed to the hotel and the room was PAID FOR. The hotel still charged me the cost of the room even after I told them at check in it was directly billed, and again at check out that I should not be charged the amount of the room. It has been almost 30 days and their lack of communication with my credit card travel team is ridiculous. still no refund, still no resolution. For such a “well known and luxury” hotel, DO BETTER. I will not be staying here again DEFINITELY not worth the price with this type of “customer service”.

My stay at The Ritz-Carlton Charlotte was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived after a long journey from Florida, we were welcomed with warmth and grace. Megan and Tashika at the front desk were incredible and made us feel right at home. The relaxation we felt after fleeing from Milton was exactly what we needed, and The Ritz delivered on every front. The queen suite was luxurious, the service was impeccable, and all of my guests were thoroughly impressed. Every detail was taken care of, making our stay truly unforgettable. I can't wait to come back and enjoy the beauty and comfort of this amazing hotel again!

The hotel clearly hasn’t been upgraded for a decade minimum. This isn’t a problem, it’s still nice enough, clean and well maintained.
The problem is that the RC seem to have forgotten that as the most expensive hotel in town $600+ plus taxes a night minimum, they also have to be the best hotel. That means the most welcoming, have the best service, exceptional food, free TV subscriptions etc etc - and they’re just not.
The food is really nothing more than standard. The service is patchy, some lovely servers, some who are clearly not happy being there. A poor bar selection (no beers on tap), an extortionate $50 charge for guests to use the sauna, $10 a day for wifi, etc etc.
It’s just not going to add up when so many other hotels offer so much more.

Rooms are a tad outdated. Other than that everything was spectacular! The wonderful valet on the drive… so helpful and kind! Joeey in guest relations coordinated with us and provided a wonderful treat which made us feel so special! and the manager Milan in the morning was so pleasant and professional when speaking with us. We cannot wait to return!
Walkability: Great distance from everything in uptown

I am a titanium member. First time staying here. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are amazingly well kept. Location is also very ideal. That being said, I will never stay here again. I booked over the phone using a free night credit for being an high level member. Upon checking my account once I left, I noticed a significant amount of points had been taken from my account. I called customer service and they admitted fault. They instructed me to call the location manager to have it fixed as it was an error of one of their employees. Since then, the manager won’t return emails or calls and I have yet to be refunded. I’ve called and emailed several times, and have yet to get a response. I have even called the front desk and when I ask for her, they say she is there, proceed to put me on hold, and then say she will call me back. She never has. Terrible customer service. Again, I will never stay here and I may never want to stay in a Ritz Carlton hotel again.

The Ritz Carlton Charlotte exceeded all of my expectations, and the personal service provided by Tish Allen and her team made the experience unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, every detail was handled with care and precision, ensuring we felt completely welcomed and cared for. Tish went above and beyond to make sure our stay was special, and her team's attention to detail was unmatched. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere luxurious, and the warmth of the staff made all the difference. I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for an elevated experience in Charlotte!

I just spent a surreal and frustrating three hours in the Ritz lobby. This was an anniversary weekend. Check in at 4, spa at 5, dinner at 8. What could go wrong you ask? We arrived at 3:30 and were told the room was not ready. No problem. Ate at bar. Checked at desk again at 5. Still not ready. Wife went to spa appointment and I kept her bags in lobby with kids. Wife finished spa at 6, room still not ready. Kiera the manager said they were cleaning room but she has no way of knowing when a room will be ready. I suggested that she should know that and it may be a staff management issue. She assured me it was not. I also suggested if they could know when a room was not going to be ready and it was going to be late, she might text so I could choose to do something besides sitting in their lobby for three hours with luggage and kids. Finally put my kids in an Uber and sent them home and we went to our dinner reservations. The kids were originally supposed to stay in the room and order room service. After I sent the kids at 6:30 the front desk came over to say the room was ready. No thanks at that point. I asked Kiera the manager if we were going to be charged for the room. She said no. I will update if that winds up not being true. Customer service has taken a serious dive here. We’ve stayed here many times for a fun weekend night to get out of the house over the past 15 years. No longer worth the frustration. Do yourself a favor and stay at home and order really good and expensive takeout. You will save a lot of money and frustration.
Update: I spoke with Asia the manager on duty 10/2/24 at 9:30pm to discuss the room charge on my credit card for the room they did not provide. She tried to get me to say that "I put my credit card in the machine for authorization". I have a charge on my account for the suite that Ritz Carlton did not provide and I am not happy to say the least. I suppose I will have to contact my bank to claw back the charge. If that battle to get my money back is not successful I will update again. Again, buyer beware. Pissed.

Outdated room, looked like it was high end 30+ years ago. Bathroom was so outdated, and the shower head was as efficient as a garden hose. The spa area was beautiful but no available services to be scheduled. So many kids running around above us. The windows seemed paper thin we could hear the crosswalk signal beeping from 7 stories up. The employees were all very pleasant but no one answered the calls to the spa or the front desk. Wildly overpriced to the experience.Location is also SO LOUD. Sirens, loud vehicles, stereos. Not at all comfortable or luxurious.

Gem in downtown Charlotte. Ritz did not let us down. The snacks sent up after checkin were very good.
