My stay at The Ivey Hotel was exactly what I needed to relax after a grueling return to the states and an eventful holiday. The rooms were beautifully appointed and the minibar well-stocked. The beds were comfortable and the onsite restaurant, Sophia's, was a nice and convenient place to grab breakfast before facing the elements. The staff were warm, friendly, and accommodating and I'll definitely return!

My wife and I really liked this place but the customer service was not the best the first time and when we tried to return we literally got the worst service I have ever encountered in all my years of travel. We ended up staying at run-of-the-mill hotel instead since we had to find a replacement at around 8pm and the manager bent over backwards to make sure we had a great stay. The hotel is cool, but the employees made it unbearable to the point of just not even wanting to stay there. My wife and had a good laugh as we paid 1/4 of the price and had twice the fun. Management should retrain the staff since those clowns lost our business forever.

Wow, this hotel was really clean, and the service i wish I could give them a 10. Our velet parking was dope. Rooms were so clean. We had breakfast, and I love the service and the food. I give them a 10. Check-in was so smooth.

I didn’t stay here but thought about booking for me and my lady as a nice little getaway. It would have been my first time staying. Unfortunately I saw all the bad reviews and told myself no way. No valet but you charging customers for it. Falsely billing customers for outdated and out of commission items in rooms claiming customers did it. Almost no access after hours. False advertising on website. Customers not receiving final updated invoices. I’m good. Yaw almost had me. If I can gather that from the reviews alone then this not 5 star service.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. The room was stunning. The service was great! Gave a 4 on the location simply because I struggle with city traffic. That is more of a personal preference though.
Food and drinks: The hotel is connected to two resturants. Sophia's is the resturant we went to for both dinner and breakfast given we had credit to use there. Food was good at dinner. Breakfast was absolutely delicious!

The room was nice, the elevator did not work and I had to get my own vehicle from the garage which was a big truck boxed in with only inches to clear each side. Had to ground guide and maneuver for 10 minutes. If your going to charge a premium then you need to deliver a premium.

This hotel was magnificent. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast and Sofia's lounge. Lynn, Ashley and Teressa were wonderful and the food was absolutely delicious.

Phenomenal hotel. While the rooms are wonderful (with an elegant and opulent feel to them), the real star is the service. As service at chain hotels has continued to go downhill over the past few years, The Ivey’s Hotel is a reminder of why it used to feel special to stay at one. Daily housekeeping is impeccable and turn down service with a small box of chocolates is the perfect ending to a busy day in the city. Though I don’t typically stay in the uptown area when I visit Charlotte, I will likely do so in the future just to spend more time at The Ivey’s Hotel.

Want to stay at a hotel that charges you for Valet but makes you get your own vehicle? Stay here. I will never stay at this establishment again. They have employees who are lazy and disrespectful to their guest. I would recommend any other hotel in Charlotte, besides Ive’s Hotel.

Currently writing this just after midnight as loud music from across the street continues to blare into my room preventing me from sleeping. Front desk was extremely unhelpful and were either unwilling or unable to do anything meaningful to resolve the issue.

Loved every single thing about our staycation here. Savannah at Sophia's Lounge was the best. Beautiful and luxurious room, we will be back.
Safety: I wouldn't walk the streets in this area alone too late at night. Generally safe, but be smart. Plenty of ubers available.
Food and drinks: Sophia's Lounge has a small menu but the breakfast and dinner was excellent.
