Nightmare from start to… now. Our room had an AC that made a loud thumping noise and wouldn’t cool the room from 73 degrees. When I called, instead of apologizing or saying she’d do something, the front desk clerk told us they were a boutique hotel and the AC didn’t work well and they had no more rooms (note: we never asked for a new room, just wanted someone to fix the loud thumping noise). She said she’d call with an update and we went out for the evening. We figured worst case we’d just turn off the AC.Came back, went into our room and saw NOT OUR STUFF. Turns out they moved us, didn’t tell us, and didn’t rekey the room. They moved us four floors up to a room that registered a balmy 82 DEGREES. It also had no outlet to plug in my husbands CPAP machine unless he chooses to sleep on the floor or we disassemble the bed to get to the outlet buried behind it. Not sure what genius thought the solution was to sweat us out upstairs and touch all our things without even attempting to ask or notify us. Now waiting for the “offsite manager” to call. Kind of like waiting for the clerk to call before making the “executive” decision to move us to a room 10 degrees hotter than the last one and sell our room to someone else. Oh, I was in there long enough to see they provided a nice fan to whoever is in that room now. No fan for us, though, at 82 degrees and rising. Worst service in my entire life - no offense to the gentleman who now is working at the desk and got stuck dealing with the aftermath in lieu of the so-called “offsite manager” who never called us. I am pretty convinced she doesn’t exist

This is an old building. It would be helpful to have ice machines and refrigerators.

This is the third time we have stopped by and have seen the restaurant closed early again. It was around 8:40 and I thought they served until 9:00. Its not making my stay very pleasant.Food & drinks: Restaurant keeps closing early

Overall, we had a good time staying at the Dunhill Hotel. The staff and location were great. Elise, the bartender, made our stay worthwhile. She was extremely friendly, energetic and she knew exactly what drinks to make us based on just a few things we told her we liked. We will definitely be back to see her! Some small negatives of our stay was, the restaurants breakfast was just okay and the shower could have been a little warmer.

I recently stayed at the Dunhill during my first visit to Charlotte. The hotel concierge and staff were incredibly friendly and the location was perfect. Every individual at the front desk was very kind and helpful. The disappointment was in there not being a hotel gym (even a treadmill and bike would have been wonderful). Personally, a gym is an essential feature; therefore, I would not stay here again. However, for those that the amenity is not important than I would recommend the Dunhill. The bar/restaurant was randomly closed on my second night. They did note the bartender and staff did not show up to work and I understand that this does happen, but when traveling this causes more challenges.

Love, love, love the Dunhill! By the time I left I was on first name basis with the staff. Of course they knew my name from the jump. The freshly baked cookies each night were ON POINT this time. The chocolates were a nice treat also. I only have two complaints: 1) someone must’ve been working out in their room because around 8:00 each night I would hear this weird, loud banging sound as if they were doing burpees or something. 2) I ordered the trails salad from the restaurant and all that I got was a bowl of mixed greens and some salad dressing. This was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING! There was NO trail and no mix in these greens! And it wasn’t even a bowl full.Nearby activities: Close to EVERYTHING!Safety: Felt pretty safe to me.Walkability: Close to EVERYTHING!Food & drinks: The asbury is usually really good but they COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED me on this trip, so much so that I never ate there again the entire trip. I was there 4 days and 3 nights!??♂️

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. I can not say enough about the Dunhill hotel it was outstanding in everyway. The room was clean and extremely comfortable, all of the service we received from the front desk staff to the bartender was wonderful. The location was right where you want to be in Charlotte. My husband and I will definitely be returning in the near future. Thank you!

We had a lovey stay at the Dunhill for Valentine's day. The staff were truly fantastic (thanks for everything Christina!) and the location cannot be beat! We loved the historic charm of the building and would definitely stay there again.

I had an enchanting experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, they exceeded all expectations, particularly in handling our surprise proposal. The staff, especially Dena and Elise, added a personal touch with flowers and chocolates, making the moment unforgettable. The room was exquisite, and kudos to Tim, the chef, for creating culinary masterpieces, and Christina, the manager, for orchestrating a flawless stay. Every detail was attended to, creating a truly magical and memorable stay!! I cannot say thank you enough for creating this moment!

We were in town for a wedding and had the best experience staying at The Dunhill. We had a last minute change and needed to stay at the hotel an additional night. Christina Eldaef was incredible, going above and beyond to accommodate us and make certain that our stay was perfect. Exceptional customer service all around and front desk staff was top notch!
