Returned my rental vehicle, did a walk around with the attendant who said there were no issues. Got emailed my receipt showing no damages. The next day, I get word that they found damage and are trying to blame me. 3 weeks later I get an invoice for payment. I attempted reaching them through their customer support email with no response. This company is know for fraudulent claims like this. Take thorough videos and pictures inside and out prior to leaving their lot.

BUYER BEWARE! I would not even rent a toy car from SIXT. I rented a car from the Charlotte office in early November, only to find out that my vehicle was already given to another person, and I had to pay an up charge in order to rent a car. While driving, the car broke down in the middle of nowhere - I called and was told to take the car to a repair shop and I would be reimbursed as well as receive monies for my family missing a day at the resort we were driving to. Well, it is now close to 2 MONTHS LATER, and I still have yet to receive the monies for the work done on the car, or the monies for time missed at my resort.

Aya, before you post that you want to help, please do your due diligence on my issue. Throwing together as quickly as you can an "I want to help" reply to my complaint shows just how much you really want to get involved. Please look at my account and the numerous emails and calls I have made to SIXT to rectify this prior to blindly sending a note to my complaint.BUYER BEWARE! If I could give a 0 I would. Rented car in unlight garage--so couldn't see the tiny chip in windshield that was a foot taller than me until after I left and was under streetlights. Then charged me 3X what this would have cost to fix (nailpolish was all it needed).NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

BEWARE! This is a Scam Car Rental. Don't Trust Them.I'm unsure about the other reviews, but my experience suggests this company is only interested in taking your money while providing horrible service. They won't assist if your car has issues. Please read below to avoid a similar situation.I chose Sixt Rental through Priceline, wanting to try their service.At the airport, during pickup, I was pressured to upgrade. They advertised a "Black Friday deal," claiming it would only cost an additional $40 (which turned out to be untrue, and their blatant lies were shocking).The customer service was poor from the start, but I agreed to the extra $40, just wanting to leave.After driving for 25 minutes, I noticed the BMW's Bluetooth and sensors weren't working. I had chosen a luxury BMW for its safety and quality.Reaching out to them took an hour. The representative offered no solution, so I requested a manager. I was told the manager can't get on call but will call within 30 minutes.I drove carefully, aiming to report the issue to avoid any responsibility for potential problems.THE MANAGER NEVER CALLED BACK.The rental car nearly ruined my trip. I repeatedly contacted them as the sensors continued to malfunction.For two days, there was no response. Upon returning the car, I was advised to discuss the issue with the on-site manager. I informed him about the car's problems and my experience. He offered to waive the charge and provide a voucher. I emphasized the need for a thorough check before renting the car again.At the desk to return the keys, I discovered they charged me $141 instead of $40. I called the manager again to go over this again cause after a tiresome drive I just wanted to resolve this and go. To avoid discussing this in front of other customers, he promised to resolve it.Yet, upon checking my bank account after a week they charged me full price. They forgot about the vouchers and charged me the full price. They are now unresponsive.I'm sharing this to warn others: don't expect help from this company in a crisis. They are keen to upsell but shirk responsibility. I was constantly anxious during my trip, fearing any car issues would be blamed on me.Avoid Sixt. Hertz might charge slightly more, but they deliver on their promises.

My experience here was beyond 5 stars because of Justin, Alex and Sawaya!! I was renting a car after someone hit me, of course flustered they got me in a car immediately. The first car I got had a minor issue. I took it back and Justin put me in a beautiful upgrade no questions asked! Highly recommend them and I will rent from this company and location in the future.

If I could give negative stars I would. Do not do business with this company. They rented us an unsafe vehicle with a tire worn to the metal tread that started to rip to pieces while driving the first day of a week long rental. Then they put all the burden on us, the customer, to get the car towed back the day after renting it. We are still fighting for a refund.

My credit card was charged twice for the same rental...One for $602.76 and one for $855.59 Unbelievable! The people I dealt with personally were top notch. Well...you responded with...I should email customer service. How long does it take to get a response? It's been 24 hours and now it's late Friday afternoon so I won't hear anything now until Monday. That's GREAT customer service!

We decided to move from the front desk clerk to where we than started dealing with William. William rectified our situation quickly & professionally . This was a very busy thanksgiving weekend yet he managed to make it happen.William, Thank you for your professionalism and kind courtesy.

BEWARE!!!This company deserves a ZERO star. If sixt was the only rental company left in the world, I would WALK before renting from sixt again!Do NOT rent a vehicle from this company! They are definitely CROOKS, in my opinion!!!I went on their website and chose the vehicle class(SUV) I wanted to rent, as a matter of fact, they not only offer you to choose the class of vehicle but 24 hours before picking up my rental they sent me a link to choose the EXACT vehicle I wanted. Which is something I had never seen from the other rental companies I've dealt with, that was a plus or so, I thought. That should've been a red flag that I was going to have problems with sixt because I was tricked into believing I actually had that choice, which was far from the truth with these thieves!I rented my vehicle directly through their website because I thought it would save me some time when I picked up my rental!Well, I get to the pickup counter at Charlotte, N.C. airport and got a big surprise.As I said, I chose to rent from their website. I prepaid for my rental, so when I arrived at the pickup counter, I was supposed to be able to simply pick up my keys & vehicle & be on my way.This was not the case at all, the very rude guy at the counter told me I was not able to get the vehicle in the vehicle class I chose even though I was allowed to pay PAY IN FULL in advance directly on their website.Even though I PAID IN FULL for my rental, this rude guy would not allow me to get my rental.He 5 I'm not allowed to use a debit card to rent in that Class! He then proceeded to tell me I had a couple of choices, one was to go down in class to a very small car or go HIGHER in class and pay the difference...HUH?! now get this, he was allowing me to pay for the upgrade WITH MY BANK DEBIT CARD!....WHAT?! that makes ABSOLUTELY NO sense!I informed him I had actually spoken to customer service because I had an issue with one of the pages not loading when I was completing my rental. The customer service representative reassured me that everything was fine and was good to go & would go much faster because I paying ahead. When I asked this rude guy, why would the Rep. tell me all was good & why is he telling me something totally different? His response to me was, " What You customers don't understand is that when you call in & talk to customer service, these are just people sitting around in their pajamas working from home, and don't care what they tell you all" I was SHOCKED that he actually admitted this to me!Anyway, he said he would help me by allowing me a vehicle in an even high class without me paying any extra AND he was going to give me his employee rate, deducting a percentage from what I'd already paid, so I would end up paying less because of the misunderstanding! Not so!!!! This guy is a big in my opinion is a LIAR AND A THIEF!!!WHY/HOW would I be allowed to pay in full using my debit card but at pickup, be told I can't do that?!If that wasn't enough, I get My bank statement a few weeks later & it showed that they charged me an extra $206 & somehow was able to input that amount into my invoice as if it was there all along! AND on top of all of that, I was charged twice for the same time period & same vehicle class. How is it that they thought they could get away with stealing my money like that?. I demanded a refund of that duplicate rental charge from my account, they assured me that it would take up to 5 business days to get my refund...ANOTHER LIE because it took almost a full month to see my refund!!! Everytime I called to find out where my refund was, they always wanted to blame my bank!Just Do yourself a favor & stay far away from this company! They will find a way to steal your money! AND then act as if they are somehow justified in doing so!!! AND I was given a car that was not clean!Save yourself a headache. DO NOT RENT FROM SIXT... YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!

Pre booked and paid for our “Toyota Camry or similar” rental online. Waited a half hour in line for pickup but the process was smooth otherwise. Was given a Nissan Altima with no mention of any upgrade or cars being unavailable. I received a receipt after drop off with a $42 charge higher than what I paid, listed as an upgrade. I am not sure when an Altima became an “upgraded” vehicle. Poor business practice to not mention anything at the time of check in either. Be sure you check your receipts!

The most unprofessional rental place that I have ever rented from. When I first arrived the representative in the booth screamed out we don’t have no cars in the most disrespectful way without greeting me first or asking if we had a reservation. When I arrived at the inside counter the representative did not change the timing of pick up to reflect 24 hours for drop off and I was charge additional money for another day. Then getting the vehicle when we were handed our keys we noticed there was a warning light on in the car we asked for a new rental they would not change the car and insisted on us getting that car so we waited 45 mins. after picking up the rental. I didn’t know then but I do know the manager Justin removed the warning light. Did not anything to us no apology nothing in regulars to our wait. We dropped back off the vehicle the next day same time as I left. And I had to wait another 45 mins while the girl walked around my vehicle and video taped and marked it up with a marker talking about damages on the car. We had full coverage so why would I have yo be inconvenienced to wait? The following morning I received a email about scratches and them wanting to file a claim? This has been “THE WORST EXPERIENCE” if at all possible save your self the time and headache the staff has NOT been fully trained on how to interact with customers. After waiting another hour after I dropped off the vehicle to speak the the manager Justin to resolve my concerns. He acted as if he did not care and did not offer and compensation about my experience renting with Sixt. WARNING: DO NOT RENT FROM SIXT!! SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE!!

There are many choices of rental companies at Charlotte airport - pick another one. The worst service I have ever experienced with a car rental company. Support when I had an issue was terrible - lack of response and unsympathetic. They were not the cheapest, and though I had a decent car I would never rent from them again. Stick with a more reliable car rental company.

The car rental was not available at the reserved time, had to wait over an hour.Turned the car in before my flight, everything checked out good. 2 days later I was accused of damaging the car. There was no damage when I checked the car back in.

The Sixt Charlotte location was a good one! Get the app and check-in before you get there, skip the counter and go straight to the second level of the parking facility. Scan your QR code and get your vehicle...it's so much faster. I ended up with a nicer car, no line, no hassle.
