I have stayed here many times with no complaints until today….Two rooms with tweens and a VERY loud mother running, screaming and slamming doors for the last 4 hours. I called the front desk several times and in person twice to get assistance. I was finally told that there is nothing they can do until 9:00 pm. So, after traveling for 16 hours, I can’t have any peace until 9pm.I went to the restaurant downstairs and had a hockey puck for dinner. I was told there is a new “chef” and he isn’t very good. I specifically pick this hotel because it is close to my periodic meeting and HAD a decent restaurant. I will not be returning.

Overall a good experience, it was overloaded with kids and teenagers for some type of competition in the area which made it quite loud, but not an issue. The restaurant was tasty, the bar had good drinks, the staff was friendly. They don't keep up with their flyers at the front, so they may be outdated or have incorrect info on them. They seem to host a lot of events here so be ready for large crowds randomly. Ice machines locations info on the TV show locations on almost each floor (2-7), and there is a place for one, but they don't all exist. The ones that do exist don't all work, so it's a bit of a wild goose chase for ice which was aggravating. Parking was easy so that's a plus. Great location, very convenient to many things. No mini fridge in the room was a bit of a bummer.Rooms: No mini fridge in the roomsFood & drinks: Bar and restaurant were tasty and friendlyNoteworthy details: Fix the ice machine issues. Update their locations on the TV and repair the ones that exist. Don't have people wandering around for 20 minutes just grabbing ice.

I'll leave bullet points to make this easier:1) When arriving at the hotel, I was promised a room away from the elevator as I was working overnight. When I went upstairs, I was given the wrong room type. Got assigned a new room and was given room 526 that is right next to the elevator.2) Regarding the TV, you will have no access to the HDMI ports on the tv and the quality of the channels is awful. You can't even watch ABC3) Location is amazing, as well as the staff.

Staff made a huge mix-up with our lodging, so check-in was not easy or efficient. The hotel is absolutely beautiful the rooms are stunning and have an art deco flair.lovely furniture and smart design.

We had a wonderful time with our 4 and 7 year old girls at the Marriott Renaissance Charlotte South Park Hotel. The American Girl package was better than expected. Hotel was upscale, clean and the staff were all helpful and treated us like royalty. The girls enjoyed being pampered with the American Girl doll beds, robes & slippers and their own pink robes and pink milk & cookies. The girls loved the hotel salt water pool which was warm and also the sauna and fitness center. All were clean and equipment was well-maintained and stocked with plenty of towels and bottled water. The pink bedding was too cute and the beds were very comfortable and room was quiet. The girls even got to pick out a gift from the toy chest and we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast the next morning that was included in the package. Highly recommend Marriott Renaissance and American Girl package.Rooms: Rooms were upscale, roomy, quiet, clean and very comfortableFood & drinks: We had a very nice breakfast included in the package with a choice of anything on the menu. Food and service were Excellent!Noteworthy details: Staff were very welcoming and treated us like royalty. The girls enjoyed the whole American Girl experience

This is a lovely hotel in the heart of the SouthPark area of Charlotte. It seems like it has been recently renovated with a modern vibe in the rooms. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms are well appointed too.The Lounge is only so-so with just a pretty basic breakfast and some bag of chips, pretzels, etc. during the day.The staff was friendly too. I would definitely stay here again. I come to this area about once a year and this is by far my favorite hotel in the area.

We checked in on January 5th. The room we were assigned smelled terrible. There were food crumbs on the furniture, shredded pillows behind the couch, and tattered bathrobes in the closet. We asked for a cleaner room. The next room smelled different, but just as bad. There was a sticky spill on the floor, hair on every single pillow, stains on the sheets, something growing in the corner of the shower, a hole in the wall that wasn’t patched after an electrical outlet was moved, and black mold on the wall around the smoke detector.Thankfully the hotel staff was very kind about it. They refunded our money with no problem, and we left.

My son left his most prized stuff animal at the hotel during our visit to Charlotte over New Year’s. The stuffed animal was named after our Bernese Mt. Dog, Atticus, who passed away last year. Mikaela, the Manager, and her two associates Paige and Erika went above and beyond to ensure that Baby A made it home. I cannot express how grateful our family is for their kindness. We need more people like them in the world. ?Nearby activities: Close to South Park Mall.Safety: Located in a very safe part of Charlotte.Walkability: Plenty of Walking trails for you and your dogs, can walk to South Park Mall that allows dogs inside the mall.

Place a bit rundown. Hallway walls need maintenance and paint. Nice gym, but Peleton and treadmill equipment needs maintenance.

It's nice even though it has a few miles. My room is very nice with a clean, glitzy look, and it's spotless; however, I can't cool my room no matter how low I set the thermostat. And there is something funny about the bed sheets. I pulled them off the bed both nights.I'm here for a meeting, and we are meeting in the Monarch Room. It was easy to find, and it's the usual hotel boardroom. But the event staff was very accommodating. It an easy walk to nice restaurants, so that's a plus too. It's okay overall.

After having to call corporate Marriott to get the hotel to honor the public rate I booked. Which is pathetic treatment for a Titanium member, and even the Titanium line was confused and thought the Asst Manager had lost his mind. My actual stay was okay. Not exactly what I call good customer service, but 90 nights a year for 15 plus years there's always one of these stays each year and I guess this was the hotel
