Solanye is absolutely amazing! She really gives my hair that TLC that it needs. She had done my highlights back in December of 2023 and they still look amazing even with the new growth and I recently saw her early June for a deep conditioning, silk press, and trim. Such an amazing stylist. Everyone In general is so sweet and very family welcoming. MWAH!!!

I recently had an absolutely infuriating experience at Dominican Hair Salon Name. I went in for a simple blowout and was shocked when I received the bill—they blatantly overcharged me!
When I confronted the manager about the outrageous price, he was unbelievably rude and dismissive. Instead of listening to my concerns, he acted condescending and made me feel completely unwelcome. His behavior was unprofessional and disrespectful.
I’ve never been treated so poorly at a salon. I will never be coming back and strongly advise others to avoid this place unless you want to be overcharged and treated like dirt.

I needed a quick hair refresher for the upcoming holiday weekend.....I called ahead to make sure I was able to walk in. Yes. When I got there, I was seen right away. I noticed a lot of smoke, like burning hair. Sheesh!! I know they use a lot of heat, but I just think WAY, too much on the hair here. Not needed. They need a better exhaust fan to soak up the steam and heat from hair. My stylist was nice and pleasant. Gentle with washing and styling of my hair. If you need a quick blowout or hair refresher, try them out. But be aware of the extra unnecessary heat, though.

I’ve been coming to this salon for years and Indira has always taken care of me, I usually get relaxers and a blow out and she is the sweetest person ever. Knows what she’s doing and you can tell she loves what she do. I recently moved from South CLT to North CLT and I will continue to drive the 30 mins to get my hair done by her. Thank you!!

My go to favorite place for whenever I’m rocking my real hair. Elayne has died my hair a few times and I’ve never had to worry about damage, shedding, or breakage. I’ve went to a few of the other ladies for a blow out and deep condition, and I’ve always loved how it turned out.

I have been coming here for years. The service is great and efficient, the stylists works hard to make sure you like their work. The prices are really affordable. This place reminds me of the location I was going to in New York.

BEWARE!!! I have been natural for 6 years just wanted a clean wash with my own shampoo and conditioner. I kept seeing this shop on my time line. Decided to go and when the lady was getting ready to wash my hair she said I had alot of oil in my hair and she needed to wash my hair once with her shampoo. I let that go over my head, WHY.??? Well 1 month later my hair is still straight even after I washed it. They have chemicals in their shampoo because they don't know how to do natural with out it. By the way my ends are split and my hair is falling out alot and did I mention there were sores in my head the third day after getting my hair done. Never again. I debated on writing ti's review but the way my hair is messed up, I have to. I dont want them to EVER EVER touch my hair.

Good customer service but they DEFINITELY use chemicals in their shampoo/conditioner! I went and took my daughter who has the tightest of coils natural hair. After 1 visit my curl pattern has changed dramatically and I smelled a chemical/burnt smell when I washed my hair. My ends are COMPLETELY straight. My daughters tight coils are now straight and same smell when we washed hers. I’ve been natural for 12 years and my daughter has never had a relaxer or treatment of any kind and the texture of her hair is completely different. All my naturals DO NOT go here! Your curl pattern will be ruined! If you don’t care about your natural curl pattern, then this place is great. I won’t be going back!
