Loved the caring way that the vet and technician handled our anxious large dog! They made his visit much easier than it could have been.

I'm writing this post as a grieving pet owner. Here are a few red flags that we didn't appreciate while bringing our pup here, who eventually was taken to another vet. We also removed our other pup from their care. Our Bull Dog had consistent allergies that were causing hives and irritation. He previously dealt with allergies and has been on a course of medication with his previous vet. ( we moved here a year ago and found Mallard Creek, they were a mile away from us). When raising concerns about these issues with the vet on repeated visits we felt very unheard. They suggested a course of action that we had already done with our previous vet, we offered previous records and wanted to move to the next course to speed things a long because our dog was very irritated. ( in our opinion they were slow and felt like we were wasting money). We eventually moved to the medication we previously asked for but this was after several visits and several hundred dollars. He would get better for a week then we'd notice him going downhill again. As time progressed we noticed a mass developing on our pup. We got a lot of responses from the vet that just didn't seem like they knew what was going on. eventually we find that it's a cancerous mass. Over a course of a month more things develop but we're told that the mass wasn't causing any of these issues. We prepared for surgery but couldn't get him well enough. we continued to ask questions and run tests. after $400 of tests these test continued to come back inconclusive and left with no real answers.BUT, very time we returned home, within one to two days his condition would severaly worsten. ( open wounds, throwing up) Again, we were just recommended the same few medications which weren't working.Within a a few days of his most recent visit, he had a spot that they tested burst open and reveal a large would. He could no longer walk and was developing a twitch. We had to crush his medicine, carry him out to the restroom and sponge bathe him.It made absolutely no sense that these things were happening within 1-2 days of seeing the vet but they didn't see anything during their evaluations and no one said to us, that he wasn't going to get better. We were under the impression that with all of this medicine and care he was going to get well enough to get surgery and eventually be back to normal. After waking up this week ( 2 days after $$$ worth of intense tests, he couldn't walk, barely moved and was peeing on himself) We took him to another Vet who got him in on the same day. This vet gave us answers within an hour!!! The mass was causing more and more infections and this kind of mass would likely continue to do this until he passed. There wasn't much that could be done for situations like this and they recommended to put him down.My biggest frustration with Mallard Creek is the lack of clarity in this situation. They always seemed to be "unsure". We rarely got definitive answers and we felt as though they weren't listening. We spent nearly $1000 on tests and treatment for a pup that ultimately would never get better. It may be hard to hear but we would have rather known that, than play an expensive guessing game while our dog suffered and I ran a hospice care for him while also caring for my 1 month old newborn. We have another younger pup who was under their care and I cancelled his appointment and moved him to another Vets care.We are those people who really love our dogs. We spent the money because we thought it was possible for him to get better. Watching him suffer when the chances weren't going to change infuriates me. In my opinion, I would have hoped to encounter a vet like the one that we worked with on his final days. They moved with more speed and emergency as if this was important to them.If you have a pet that's facing anything bigger than a regular wellness appointment. I wouldn't take them here. We are heartbroken and angry.

We had not been with MCAH for a very long time. We took our cats to another, cheaper(?), location. But when our oldest cat got sick and the other place not only couldn't help but didn't bother to return an emergency call from me, emailed several days later to say they couldn't help and to contact an emergency vet, which we did. 2 visits later and about $1000 and she wasn't doing any better. I called MCAH to see if they could help. Since we were previous clients, they agreed to seeing her. Best decision ever! They were they kindest, most attentive vets and techs you could ask for! Our baby didn't make it but they did more for our cat and us then either if the other two. So thankful we're back with MCAH!!! Added plus... you get to go back in the exam room with your loved one!! They don't just take them away!! ♥️♥️

Everyone at Mallard Creek animal hospital is amazing! I brought my sweet boy Aka to see Dr Turner after he had an accident. When it was no longer feasible to keep him on medication Dr Turner and the staff put him down with so much care and consideration and integrity! They captured his paw print for me in a beautiful ceramic figure . They provided me with beautiful cremation services as well as a personalized card with his paw prints and nose print. I will be bringing all of my future pets back to this amazing veterinary clinic. Thank you to Dr Turner and all of the amazing staff. Xo Danielle

The nurse and the doctor were both so sweet. Especially the nurse she was an angel. I’m horrible with names so I forgot already, but they were great. My bill was expensive but I’m not sure if these are standard prices or they are just expensive

I take my dog Milo here and they have been so amazing to Milo and i every time! The whole staff is very friendly and genuinely care about the dogs they take care of. Not only are the vets amazing but the front desk staff is as well. It’s also clean and the prices are very reasonable.

My little dog had stomach issues and needs special dog food. I called Mallard Creek to see if they had it in stock, they did so I said I would pick it up in the afternoon. I need a walker so they brought the bag of food to my car. I really appreciate that they are very caring of your pets and their owners. Very nice !

AMAZING!!!! The staff is so thorough and attentive. I moved to this area a little over a year ago, and finding a vet was one of my first priorities. Mallard Creek Animal Hospital was recommended by quite a few of my friends who know how much I love my pooches (Sugar & Bear), and I'm glad they did! I knew Sugar was going to need surgery when we moved. Her surgery and recovery went great. They take amazing care of both of my furry babies, no matter how big, small, or routine the reason for our visit may be.

Dr Anna and her assistant Ness handled my sweet dog’s end of life care with compassion, gentleness, dignity, and respect from beginning to end. They even provided a treat platter for her last meal. They also provided a bed for her comfort, but she preferred the cold floor because she runs hot. I highly recommend them for any of your pet’s needs.

I have been taking my fur babies to Mallard Creek Animal Hospital for over 20 years. The doctors are kind and compassionate and they listen to you and never make you feel bad for asking question after question. I had been with Dr. Fluke for most of the years at MCAH and was really worried when she retired. Dr. Grace stepped in and made me feel as comfortable as I had always been. In my opinion, they are the best of the best!
