Roaches and fraudulent charges! I didn’t want to make a public post but customer service will not return my calls and I am feeling scammed. Stayed here a few years ago and it was fine so during Hurricane Helene I decided to come back. Even with a discounted rate from my friend being a Hyatt it still costs over $600 for 3 nights.
While I was in the shower a roach crawled on me, but I decided to wait out the rest of the stay. When I got my bill I was charged for 3 nights of parking valet that I did not use at all. (I chose street parking.) These were an extra $120. I tried to submit a request but have been ignored.

I really enjoyed my time at the Hyatt House downtown. The thing that obliterated my time there was the night auditor. Foods, drinks, entertainment- immediately at your disposal. Want to be looked at like an idiot, spoken down to, and dismissed? Show up after 11pm! I spent nearly two weeks at the property and the only issue was the exact same night auditor. I grew so frustrated at one point I actually swore at him (it took me 13 days of the exact same treatment). If that gentleman was not there, this property would have been perfect. Every other staff member- perfect. Swap your night auditor and have him experience the day, and the traffic and hospitality that comes with it, and maybe he had a chance to change. Enjoyed the hotel, enjoyed the room, enjoyed the breakfast, enjoyed the desk staff; night auditor must change. I do not know what is going on in his life- but if he was not present I am positive this hotel would improve immensely.
Rooms: Room was fantastic, spacious, pet friendly, kitchenette- great view for an apartment like hotel; you usually get an empty parking lot to look at. Incredible for Charlotte!

Rooms are clean and good size. Complimentary breakfast was average with good choices. Front desk was pleasant and had great suggestions. Located within an easy walk to many things and close to the bus, light rail, and train.

Honestly, Jabari (the Valet) was the best part of our stay. He was funny and super kind! Very helpful and treated us well! The room was clean and the hot water was *chefs kiss*. It was pretty convenient to walk to everything we needed to.

My wife and I had a fantastic night stay here. The only complaint was being near the gym some guest decided to throw the medicine ball against the gym wall(we stayed on the other side of the wall) but other than that it was a very lovely stay. Jabari was amazing with valet ! Over had a pleasant stay at the Hyatt House.
Location was in a nice area next time we plan to visit the Diner across the street.
Rooms: Love the room . Our room did have an outside access we lovedddd it!
Nearby activities: Plenty of different activities to do around
Walkability: Was able to walk to and from different places
Food and drinks: Very close to local restaurants! Highly recommend Sea Level !

Friendly front desk and valet. Clean rooms. Beds are decently comfy. Pool was small and bar was closed the whole stay. Free breakfast was good quality.

My wife and I spent the week at Hyatt House, in Charlotte, and had a wonderful stay. The studio king room was clean and exactly what we needed, as both of us worked online from the location at various times. A special call out to Jabari, one of the parking valets, for his courteous, professional, and welcoming service!
Walkability: Easy walking distance to Uptown Charlotte and A Whole Foods, if you want to use your studio kitchette for more than coffee and bottled water.
Food and drinks: Breakfast was served downstairs on time, fresh, and with care. Real food to get your day started. The folks looking after the buffet style presentation were attentive and constantly refreshing the food selections.

Horrible experience! The rooms were completely unappealing, the bathroom shower was dingy with mold and mildew on the floor and in cracks. The bathroom remodel in general was poor quality for the price. Bed had small uncomfortable pillows and the curtains in the room were dirty with a brownish stain. We had a room with a kitchenette and the pots and pans were all small and all the pans looked old and over used and needed to be changed out. The elevator sucked and worked properly only when it wanted to and the noises it made were discomforting.
All of this and they have the nerve to charge you $40 a day for valet, can't park it yourself even if you wanted to. And their Valet workers were getting overworked, had me late for a meeting waiting for them to get my car ( not the valets fault though, it's the hotels, they literally had one guy working the valet at that time). To top it all off they charge a security deposit of $75 PER NIGHT that you're there! Never been charged a security deposit per night at any hotel, it's usually one for your whole stay. I will never book here or at any Hyatt hotel again.
I'm not sure how this hotel got such a high rating, these people must have really low expectations or they caught this place in its hey day.
