Incredibly unprofessional, unsanitary, and unhelpful customer service experience. I called multiple times a day for several days — no one ever answers or returns my calls. I visited several times hoping I might speak to someone in person, but no one is ever at the desk, and you have to wander around trying to find someone. I had to return on three separate occasions before I found anyone. Finally, I was given a filthy car with a slow-leaking tire and no spare. After driving it home just a few short blocks (I live on the same street), the next morning I woke up to a flat tire. Again, no one answers the phone, and there is no one on-site when I show up despite the fact that it's regular business hours. Eventually, when I spoke to branch manager Ryan Marshall, I was told it's my financial responsibility to have the vehicle towed and the flat repaired, even though, as I stated before, there was no spare or jack in the trunk. So, if you want to waste hours and hours across several days trying to contact the office (which is basically a broom closet in the back corner of a hotel lobby) in order to get an unsanitary, soon-to-break-down car that no one will lift a finger to help you with, then you've found the perfect place. They would love to have your business because, after all, you're the one paying to repair their dumpy, beat-up, untainted cars. For those of you wondering why I bothered to do business here after how god awful the experience was every step of the way -- someone hit my car and while its being repaired this is the rental the other drivers insurance arranged for me. For those considering renting here -- knowing what I know now, I would not rent here even if it were my last or only choice.

I booked a reservation here and even used my 2 free nights I'd earned. When I arrived, NOBODY was here and there were no cars. I called the number and someone did answer. They told me to go to the Airport Location to get a car. They then charged me $300 more because it was at the airport! Deplorable service and a scam.

Horrible service.My sister reserved a car. when she arrived they told her all they had was an electric car or a car that was $75 more per day. The agent refused to check other locations for similar cars and stated you have to call them yourself. Avoid this location at all cost, better yet avoid Hertz!

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. As if Hertz couldn't be bad enough. Both mornings I came down here there was no agent and I was running late for the airport. They left 2 numbers to call. The first number wouldn't answer until I called the Branch Manager and complained. He then acted like it was my fault. Ryan Marshall I don't know who made you a manager but I hope it doesn't last long my friend. "You'll just have to wait. He'll be back in 30 minutes". Also they let you rent from them but when you show up they have no vehicles. I could go on and on but you get the point.

Manager was a l***** Very rude and condescending. Fix your signs if you want people to understand them. Takes his job way too seriously trying to show authority for a hertz job ? told us we need to ask him and plead for him to let us use a parking spot but not tell him. Has little man syndrome.

I was in a hit and run in December and dealing with cops, insurance, tow truck and collision repair facilities (and an awkward Uber ride home) had its MANY challenges and stress but the one place where everything ran smoothly and I found comforting in a sea of one disaster after another was at this Hertz location in the Double Tree on Trade Street next to Johnson Wales under the direction of a man named Tyshawn. Tyshawn was comforting when I called praying they would have a car when all of Uptown was running scarce, he was pleasant when I arrived to pick up, and even took the time out of his obvious busy day to show me how to drive and operate controls of a Tesla which I was terrified to even consider renting. He instilled confidence in me, was very patient and even friendly. He works in a small space off the hotel lobby, yes, but that didn't even seem to bother him or affect his professionalism and that says a lot. It was very obvious to me that he was a man of integrity and took pride in doing a great job and that he did. If I have any needs for car rental, I wouldn't go anywhere else but a visit to Tyshawn for my rental needs. Thank you, Tyshawn!

The service was terrible but there is a new employee and he is the best! Understanding, nice and helpful - he always tries to help out the client and make the process as easy, fast and seamless as possible! It went from the worst car rental agency to the best! Thank you so much!

Terrible. Provided incorrect information and did not bring a car when it was promised. Bad service and they did not fix the issue in a timely manner. Had to cancel reservation and go with another company.

We reserved a standard- sized vehicle but instead were provided with a SUV. My partner attempted to use his credit card and was informed that it was not working. I then used my credit card for the rental and the deposit. The next day we discovered that not only did Hertz charge the amount to my card but also charged my partner's ($470 each). They informed him it would be 3-5 days before the funds are back in his account and that he would receive a credit to use towards a future rental. Fast forward to a day after returning the rental... my partner never received the credit and my card was charged an additional $156 (an extra day). We spoke with customer service and were informed that the rental was never "closed out" despite returning the keys on the designated day to the manager at the Hertz location. I am very dissatisfied with Hertz, do better.

Rent a car, online reservation, on July 22, 2021, when I picked it up the car had a bad smell and was dirty both inside and outside and when we did the inspection the manager said he would clean it, I was short on time so I asked if I could take another vehicle with the same characteristics, there was a vehicle, but when he ask a lady, who works there, she said no because she would use it for the weekend. The guy told me that he would vacuumed it quickly, I told him that I could take it to the car wash and I would bring him the receipt, he refused but told me that when I return it they would give me a certificate for $ 50, I was in a Rush after wait for them so long so I agreed. The car had nothing but 20 miles gas left. When I returned the car and asked for my certificate, nobody knew nothing about so they said no.
