I needed to be at a near by business for a special 10/23/23 event so I chose to stay here due to location.Access to I-77, I-85 and I-485 and W.T. Harris Blvd. It's only about one year old & still 'feels' very new. It's clean, comfortable and safe. There is professional Staff & they are helpful & available. The King room was large & comfortable.Very big bathroom with a nice sized walk-in shower.I really like the refillable shampoo, conditioner & body wash. The HVAC worked great though the fan was a little loud. The full hot breakfast starts at 6am & was really good, especially the fresh bagels. They have several large urns of fresh coffee.I was able to use the app for check-in but had some issues with the 'digital key' until I figured out the Bluetooth issues had to be adjusted from the App & NOT the phone settings.

I had a wonderful stay at this Hampton Inn & Suites. I am a dedicated Mariott member but the management at this Hampton location blew my mind. I previously had a poor experience at a location in South Carolina and vowed never to book with Hilton again. While attending the Beyoncé Renaissance World Tour last night, I found this hotel reasonable when booking. I used the app to make my reservation. I traveled with my chihuahua so finding a suitable hotel was important for us both. The app was excellent. It allowed me to choose a high floor which gave me a peaceful nights rest and peace of mind. Upon checking in I met Miss Tracy who helped get me to my room quickly. She worked the desk my entire stay and was wonderful. The gentleman who works the night shift was wonderful as well. All the staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. I observed them engaging with guests pleasantly and professionally. I have never had this experience at the other locations. Tracy, Manager Makaleigh & Jessica all wonderful. The gentlemen as well. My room was on the 4th floor furthest from the elevator. It was peaceful. The mattress was so comfortable I did not want to wake up. I went down for breakfast about 8:45. I enjoyed the frittata, sausage & made some oatmeal. After a long concert night, it was just what I needed. My dog enjoyed walking throughout the property outdoors. There was plenty of land for him to roam with 3 doggie bag stations and cans. They keep this property immaculate. They have an outdoor pool that is unfortunately not located in a shady area. The complaints I have are more superficial. The Hampton needs to consider air fresheners for all common areas & each floor and all rooms. There is always a lingering odor. Not sure what that is. The Mariott uses the same air freshener for each property. Please research this. The shower heads need to be updated. Consider a rainfall shower-head for guests to enjoy. I don't love the Zero products either. Aside from my wishlist, I will choose this as a budget hotel for stays in Charlotte.

First of all, it's a nice property. Appears to be new, clean, staff is very nice, breakfast was good. But driving up, I first noticed one of the entrances was chained off. Then I noticed an apartment complex across the street and a neighborhood of starter homes next to the hotel. When I checked in and the clerk recorded my name and a description of my vehicle on a spreadsheet, the "ah-ha" moment struck. Obviously, they have issues with cars being broken into. Checking out and loading my car the next morning, a nice, newer pickup was parked under the overhang next to my car. The couple came out and the lady was distraught. She informed me the vehicle was broken into the night before. That explained the plastic covering with masking tape over the hole where the rear passenger window used to be. She also told me the vehicle next to them had a window broken out too. Here's the deal. It's a nice place but who wants to stay there with that threat? Hilton, you need to a)install security fencing b)add a controlled gate access via room key for overnight hours and c)consider an onsite off duty cop as security for weekend nights. Otherwise, this place is doomed. I very rarely post negative reviews but I don't want anyone else dealing with what I witnessed.
