Glenna’s Painting just completed repairs from water damage and painting of the ceiling in our kitchen and living room and master bathroom. It looks great! They were very clear in communication with me and were prompt and clean as well!

Glenny’s painting did a great job painting my 2-story great room and foyer as well as hallway to 3rd floor. Highly recommend. They were careful to cover floors and furniture well. Clean up was just as good as they were thorough, making sure to get any paint specks/splatter cleaned off wood floor etc. only took a day and a half and they applied 3 coats as it needed it. Will definitely use them again.

Carlos and his team painted our walls, trim, and ceiling and we loved the results! Our walls had a lot of knicks, damage, and holes from curtains and picture frames. They made the walls look brand new!

Glenny’s painting did a phenomenal job on our new home. They came out to give us a quote on Monday, started painting Wednesday and were finished by Thursday. The painting looks beautiful, and they are detailed , efficient, and even recaulked our baseboards. Their prices are also very reasonable. Definitely give them a call if you’re looking for a job well done!

We bought a home in South Charlotte that needed painting in February. The original owners were renting the home back from us until their kids got out of school for summer, so our realtor was nice enough to coordinate communication with the original owners and arrange visits with the different vendors we needed. Carlos Glenny (the owner of Glenny's painting) sent us an estimate through our realtor in early March based on the Zillow photos. However, Carlos warned our realtor that it would cost extra to remove the texture from the walls, so he wanted to go see the home in person before he quoted that part of the work. The estimate seemed reasonable and we figured that we could always choose not to do the texture removal if the price came in too high, so we agreed to move forward. Fast forward to the middle of May and Carlos is finally able to get in the home (granted, this was complicated as we had to coordinate with the original owners through our realtors). Without explanation, he sends us a revised estimate that is 23% higher on the original work plus another 21% to remove the texture! I was just expecting the quote for the texture, so I was shocked that he raised the price on everything! When I questioned this, he told me that the original estimate was very rough and that he couldn't tell from the photos that there were multiple rooms to prime, almost the whole house has crown molding, and that some of the ceilings will need two coats of paint. I pointed out to him that you can see the crown molding in all the pictures and that it was clear to me, as a novice, from the pictures that most of the rooms would have to be heavily primed as they had darker colors and custom finishes. I ask if he can honor the original estimate and he tells me he can't as he won't be able to make a profit. Over the course of several conversations, another visit to the house, and another week, we continue to discuss it. At this point, it's only about 10 days until he was going to begin work, so it's difficult, if not impossible, to get anybody else in there to get another estimate before we move in, so we're in a bind. It's obvious that he's not going to honor the original estimate, so I suck it up and offer to meet him halfway but he won't budge. He tells me that everyone knows that painting estimates are rough and that it's not like the other trades where they can do an accurate esimate based on online photos. So why did he give one? He keeps adding more reasons why he needed to raise the price, telling me the doors are peeling so he needs to sand them (you weren't going to sand the doors!?!?) and my favorite was that it was going to cost more because we're having the floors refinished, so he's going to have to be extra careful when covering them (you're not normally careful with the floors?). We ended up not using Glenny's and we're going to have to find another painter after we move all of our stuff in. I had to laugh when I read the motto on their website "Customer satisfaction over profit is a motto we live by every day." We originally chose Glenny's because of all of the 5 star reviews, but our experience was much different.

Carlos was excellent with scheduling and communication with painting my rental house. He was able to fit me in short notice and got the job done very quickly even with a crew member down. Quality of work is excellent and would highly recommend.

Just WOW!! Carlos Glenny sent over the “DREAM TEAM” of Jose, Edgar and Ernesto to paint our interior rooms and they were terrific! All of these gentlemen were kind, polite and VERY professional and knew “how to do!” Rest assured, we will be calling Glenny’s Painting for all painting projects going forward!!
