Absolute WORST grocery store in the world! You’d be better off starving. Quane was super rude and didn’t help at all. I asked to speak to a MANAGER and he refused to let me speak with the Manager and did everything possible to make me feel stupid and awful for them overcharging me for something and me saying something about it. I would love to and will be speaking to corporate soon.

Now I know why Food Lion has HIGH TURNOVER RATES… when I was hired I was NEVER given the handbook nor was I told about their “attendance policy” until I called out the second time where one of the managers threatened me saying if I called out a third time I’ll be terminated. How was I supposed to know about the attendance policy when I was never given the handbook? I was only there for 1 month and I’ve seen at least 5 people including an assistant manager quit. By the time I left I’ve seen at least 6 new faces working there. To top it all off they said the max hours I can work as a part time cashier was 28 a week, cool no big deal right? WRONG I was getting plenty of hours but after I had to call out the first time it dropped from 25 hours a week to 20 hours to 15 hours a week. They say “oh there’s plenty of room for growth” no there’s not they got rid of one of the retail assistant manager positions and all the front end full time positions were filled. So how long do they expect an associate to work 15 hours a week being part time with no benefits to stay until a full time front end position is to open up? The store manager and the assistant managers shouldn’t be making threats then maybe they would hang onto reliable hard workers…

I went there as a quick trip to pick up at Western Union. While I was out I thought well, I will pick up a couple items that I needed. The selections of what I needed were very limited and the store was in a disarray. When checking out it was a little busy but there was no walkway for customers to move freely In the front area of store.

The store big, old been for years, stuff is limited or didn't have in stock even if its on sale. The store staff is ghetto and rude don't have service towards customers. The CS lady closed the self checkout after 9:15pm on 4/20/24. There was only 2 registers open the display rack was in customers way to form which ever line they wanted to go to. I hate the area its in and the way they mistreat customers. Don't shop here at night to many people and employees concern about theft.
