I joined this gym at the Northlake location but regularly attend the University one because it's closer to my home. While I love the University location and the benefits kids club, women's workout area that's private (well worth it ) this gym franchise has the Worst customer service support online. I had an issue with my payment method and I needed to update online so I went into the app to manage my account and kept getting this error message each time. So I then proceeded to call their customer service line. The system said I was number 1 in que, and after close to 45 min of waiting , I got off. Called again next day number 9 in que, so you know I wasn't waiting . Then I submitted messages through the app to get Tech Support and of course no one responded. Then I called the gym and got voicemail of management.The crazy part is that, they were quick to call me when my payment didn't go through but when i needed to update payment method, no one was available. I really like the facility at University and it has motivated me to really remain consistent with my work out routine. The rates are decent and I love the kids club for my kids. But with the poor customer service and the teachers not showing up on time to teach fitness classes, has truly put a bad taste in my mouth with this franchise.

This is my home gym. I love it there. It's clean and the staff are friendly /helpful. It's the best gym in town.

Usually very clean!! Great staff, love the women’s workout room . They have a great assortment of machines and the weights I want are always available!! Yes it can get very busy and people may not have the best gym etiquette but the staff is good about reracking the weights and maintaining cleanliness. Also Brandon is a very knowledgeable trainer (: I would recommend himThe only con is the parking lot, very congested and it could use some work.

I love the gym and classes but the other members have absolutely NO gym etiquette. It's ridiculous. Parking is atrocious. Folks literally sit in spaces and SMOKE while those who actually want to workout can't find anywhere to park! There are also members who SIT on equipment on their PHONES while making those who need to get a workout wait. I've had to check so many people and will each time. Get some manners or STAY HOME.

Terrible gym and terrible franchise. Said they waived the new account opening fee on a promotion only to charge $100 per membership for an “annual fee” the following month. Always over crowded and broken equipment, locker room is unclean. Not worth it!

Fantastic value. I actually really liked this gym. Great desk people, managers, etc - always very helpful and accomodating. Also a HUGE selection of cardio/weights equipment, especially considering the price (lol)However, the have a big locker issue (you really have to 100% Bring a lock, which you should anyway, but its a big issue at this gym - or seriously risk losing something) and their locker rooms and bathrooms aren't really the cleanest.Besides these 2, still a good gym

Fitness Connection has its Pros & Cons.... For the most, this fitness center has about every piece of equipment you could ask for and is a great place to work your body...PROS: Gym Manger seems to truly care about the success of this location and takes the time to listen.A great array of cardio equipment. Great selection of nautilus equipment.Free weigh area is massive and benches and free weight equipment is reality available.Cleanliness seems to be a priority. Well maintained and clean ladies locker room.CONS: Members do not unload the heavy weights when they finish, but that's not entirely the fault of the staff. Ladies gym could use some additional attention at times.Cooling issue in the ladies gym. So, if you get hot, use the open gym. The addition of smaller standing calf machine would be great for petite women with narrow shoulders.Overall, the East Charlotte Fitness Connection is a great place to workout...

I love this gym because there is a secluded women's area with a ton of good equipment and a big movie theater in our cardio room.

I was in Charlotte for a few days and really enjoyed FC on Albermarle Rd- it was clean, well-kept, had a sauna, and there was plenty of equipment/free weights despite the busy mornings I went. Kudos to "Poloma" for being extra helpful at the front desk. While no gym is perfect, this one hit the spot for me.

Service is excellent, very welcoming, gym is very big and clean. people who are are leaving bad reviews whining about the gym is nasty this n that then go somewhere else and pay 50$. for 10$ id take that anyday

Terrible attitude and service by the guy at the front desk “Marc” on 7/27 at around 1:40pm. Dude was disrespectful when I swiped my pass and told me I wasn’t allowed to the gym. When trying to address I’ve already been to this gym before with my pass, he became more rude and told me I had to pay him to get in. On my way out, he told me this was not my territory and to go back to my gym at University

Been going here for years. For the cost (10/month) its ridiculous that this gym has any ratings less than 5 stars...They have everything you need, even a sauna. Obviously with such a great value it has its crowded times, but if you plan accordingly (going during the day, or on sundays, its not crowded), you won't have a problem.

I moved far away from gym so I called in April to cancel membership. I was told to continue to pay until my membership ended to avoid the cancellation fee. I called back in June when my membership was over and was told since I had moved that far away the cancellation fee was not applied. I was basically provided misinformation to keep paying for two extra months. I am extremely disappointed in the club’s customer service and will not patronize here ever again. Be aware before signing up here.
