Jennifer and Amanda were very welcoming when I visited the Arrowood community. Jennifer sat down with me asked how she could help then listened to my life story and why I'm in need of an apartment by the end of the month. She invited me to tour the community and the 2 bedroom apartment. They are beautiful ?. Unfortunately I'm over qualified since they are a tax credit community. I would have loved to call the Arrowood community my new home. Thanks Jennifer and Amanda

The conduct of the management team is entirely unprofessional, exhibiting deceitful behavior. I currently reside in a two-bedroom unit, having moved in on February 28, 2023, with a rent of $1365. Subsequently, upon renewing my lease with proof of income, my rent increased to $1440 as a returning tenant.
However, I received a notice on my door a month later, instructing me to vacate despite signing a lease indicating my new rent was $1440. They now assert that my rent has escalated to $1947.5, purportedly the market price. Yet, I was never informed of this $500 discrepancy as a returning tenant. Notably, I have not signed any agreement stipulating that my rent should be $1947.
The complex operates on an income-based and income-restricted model. Given the significant decrease in my total annual income since my initial move-in, I am perplexed by their method of pricing. Over the past 14 months, I have consistently paid my rent on time, never faltering. I am not associated with the unruly tenants nor do I partake in any criminal activities on the premises. I am not the only tenant they're doing this too. Some tenants are paying below market value for 2 and 3 bedrooms, and it's on time payers like myself being taken advantage of. Making up the difference for their lack.
I am astounded by the current situation and find it utterly unacceptable.
Attached below are my proofs of payments that also shows it being on time and cashed. I have not spoken with any managers on site, Amanda nor Eugina as they are ignoring the knocks at the
door and not answering the phone.
Also there was a verbal ( I have a recording ) and a written communication of how much my rent is to be, so again, where in the hell does $1947.5 comes into play. So to me, they are breaching their contract and threatening me with court for their mishap. I am stressed, humiliated for putting a huge bundle of paperwork on my door for all to see and I may need to seek therapy for their intrusive and wrongful attempted eviction.
My anxiety is through the roof For their Lack of professionalism.

DO YALL SEE THEIRE BOGUS RESPONSE, as if I won't post receipts of their communication directly with the same name and email. My middle name is Briana as my email reflects that. Which they have been using to email me since the beginning of time. Now, that I have left a review it's we can't investigate because we don't have a tenant whose first name is Briana, I sign most of my documents with my first middle and last name. They know exactly who they are communicating with in this review. Their response is just a response to make it seem like they are rectifying the issue. The fact they lied so bluntly as if I won't post a screen shot of our email showing they know exactly who this is. With my name as Briana E. Furthermore, ain't no error going to cause for one's rent to jump unexpectedly 500. With out verbal warning , a written warning or even a voice message to communicate such distasteful act. Attached below is the most recent email of them communicating with me after I sent an email of them asking questions about raising my rent to 1947.50 after telling me it'll only go up 75.00 which is 1440.00
Now they're pretending not to know who I am. Because my Google name is my middle name and last Name initial. Y'all can believe them if you want too.

I’ve been so stressed out trying to find a decent apartment in the area. When I arrived at Evoke I was greeted with a friendly, professional manner! Amanda made me feel so comfortable! I felt so relieved after leaving!

I have taken time off of work to stop by the property to get more information or apply if there was availability, however no one answered the door and it was locked as I called while outside hearing the phone continuously ring. I have called multiple times and left several voicemails that have yet to be returned. Along with inquiries online from the website. I am also not able to schedule a tour online or by text. This is really suspicious how several reviews that are dated all the way back to a year with the same complaint and no changes have seemed to be made. Whomever manages the property needs to be made aware of this dissatisfactory behavior!

These are the most unprofessional apartments in Charlotte. Eugenia in the office is the worst, she has messed up a lot of the residents income and has an attitude all times. She is very sneaky! She got fired and now rehired after having over 200 complaints but is now back in office. She mess with peoples lively hood in the worst way. Please do not move here it’s too many issues in the office that cooperate nor the office is trying to resolve. Bad for business and shame on evoke living
