As a consumer I had to find a solution for returning a large item that I ordered that was damaged and fortunately I found Craters and Freighters. I spoke to Sam and she handled everything start to finish. When she was out of the office she still checked email and text messages and had Rick the owner/manager handle everything else and he was great too. Sam went above and beyond and she offered to have them pick up the oversized item ASAP even though it wouldn't be scheduled for production until the following week or longer depending on how long it took me to handle everything else related to the return. The staff that picked up the item were very nice and helpful too and even offered to dispose of the original damaged crate for me. She also offered to print and scan all documents and even helped me complete them. Since this was an international shipment this was a lot more involved and Sam was knowledgeable on all aspects of the process and they were not even the shipping company and only provided the crating yet Sam assisted me with the shipping paperwork too.

Rick and his crew with Craters & Freighters of Charlotte were very courteous, professional, and accommodating when I had to ship three large pallets from NC to Hawaii when my parents passed away. The guys in the warehouse were kind and helpful. C&F let me keep my stuff in their warehouse for about 12 months (no charge!) while we waited for global shipping and lumber prices to fall a bit during the worst pricing periods of the pandemic. When we finally decided to pull the trigger, the items arrived safely and intact much faster than expected for a voyage across the entire continent and then half way across the Pacific Ocean. The guys from DHX who delivered the pallets to my home here in Hawaii with forklifts (these we large pallets) said the pallets were in the "best shape they've ever seen" for ones shipped to a person's home (normally I guess they said pallets they deliver to homes are dangerously tilting over and just a mess). Craters & Freighters of Charlotte did a rock solid professional job for some of the most important material things in the world to me and I would use them again in a heart beat and recommend them to anyone needing to pack and ship things. Great job and thank you!

AMAZING SERVICE! Fantastic experience! I had a short-fuse project to have family antiques and furniture shipped from my parents house in Charlotte across country to Portland OR. Sam Martin and Rick Williams were especially helpful. The items were picked up, carefully packed in double wrapping, and a custom crate manufactured for my items. Everything was delivered with ZERO damage with constant communication and tracking throughout the entire process. Highly recommend this group for any shipping and specialty needed. Thanks Team!

100% satisfied with the work done for use by Craters & Freighters of Charlotte! We shipped a large piece of framed art that was very important in terms of its sentimental value from NC to CA. The cost was well beyond what we had anticipated but so was the care and workmanship that C&F demonstrated in their work. The crating was built like a tank, secured to a custom pallet and safely shipped to us. Well worth the expense.

I recently contacted Craters & Freighters for a very specific hazmat shipping project. The day I reached out Caleb promptly returned my call and had a quote to me the same day! (And by the way, the quote was far less than other quotes I had received.) His responsiveness and eagerness to help was outstanding. Within a week or so the material was picked up, packaged and shipped to its destination safely. I will definitely use this business again and will definitely tell others about them as well!

As the director of a high end fine art gallery, I have worked with Craters and Freighters on all of our most delicate and valuable shipping needs. Every experience with these professionals has been resoundingly positive— if I could give a five thousand star review, I would! Shipping quotes are generated swiftly, with maximum cost efficiency. The entire team is friendly, communicative, and deliver exemplary customer service. Every single artwork we have shipped through Craters and Freighters arrived in impeccable condition to happy collectors on the receiving end!In my most recent experience, I was working with a VIP client on an extremely tight deadline to transport valuable artwork across the country, with zero room for error during her 48 hour window to receive the piece. Needless to say, it was a high-anxiety project from the start. Sam and Caleb (who are wonderful!) immediately bolstered the shipment trajectory to Top Priority, where John (Operations Manager) created specialized interior protections, foamcore insulation and a custom crate that was nothing short of a work of art! I was then connected directly to Vice President Rick Williams (who is now my personal hero!), and kept in touch with me every step of the way. Despite every challenge that Rick faced (extended COVID-era courier delays, FedEx mistakenly rerouting the crate to Northern California when it was destined for SoCal, then holding it in a locked terminal for days), nothing was a deterrent to Rick. He worked tirelessly days, evenings, and even on his days off to troubleshoot every possible solution, keeping me calm and informed every step of the way. Thanks to Rick’s valiant efforts and his incredible team, Craters and Freighters made the impossible happen— the shipment arrived on time, the artwork was in pristine condition, and cheers of applause could be heard from yours truly and my client in California, from coast to coast! Craters & Freighters of Charlotte has been tremendous to work with. Our company had multiple changes of dates and times for the pick up of mission critical goods to be crated for overseas transportation and Rick Williams, the VP, has been excellent in making adjustments to their schedule, always providing helpful suggestions and ideas to make the process go smoothly. He has made what has been a very stressful situation (no fault of C&F) come out the very best that it possibly could. Always with a cheery disposition and a can do attitude. I would highly recommend Craters and Freighters to anyone who needs items picked up and/or crated. They do excellent work! Will be using them again on any project in the area.
