This was the worst daycare experience we've ever had. I waited until now to post this because, since we left in January 2023, we've had great experiences with other daycares. Unfortunately, while some teachers and staff were amazing, the director was horrible. She lacked an adequate process to prevent our son from being exposed to his allergen three times. Each of these incidents required administering an EpiPen and a hospital visit. Our son started at Cranfield when he was just 4 months old and left at 2 years old.The first exposure was an honest mistake as we didn't know the Salisbury steak they provided contained chicken (his allergen). However, the next two incidents were entirely preventable, and our son's life was put in danger. In the second incident, despite knowing about his allergy, the staff still gave him chicken. The last incident occurred when they weren't paying attention, and our 2-year-old son picked up another child's milk bottle and drank from it. I recently saw a video from a year ago when our son couldn't breathe, and they failed to recognize it as an anaphylaxis reaction. My wife had to administer the EpiPen because they were too scared to do so. Finally, the director admitted her teachers were incompetent and that her daycare wasn't safe for our son. This daycare was reported several times for endangering our son. The director even suggested legal action, but she seemed apathetic during our last meeting. I reported her to her boss, but no action was taken. I firmly believe they should not care for children with food allergies. Please do not send your child to this daycare. Our experience at other daycares has been amazing, and we're currently at a daycare where all the staff are top-notch and astonished at Cranfield's incompetence. Please, for the safety of your child, do not send them here.I feel compelled to write this to prevent any child with food allergies, or any child for that matter, from experiencing what we went through. I don't want to see a tragedy on the news due to this daycare's negligence. While not all the teachers are bad there, my son's last two at Cranfield were the worst and could have cost him his life. Don't let that be your child's fate. The director needs to be replaced with someone who cares for the staff and children better. DON'T SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!

The staff! Everyone has been so amazing and welcoming which has made the experience of putting my first child in daycare so comforting! I truly appreciate the effort everyone has made to ensure a comfortable and smooth transition! And my daughter absolutely loves it there as well! Beyond grateful!

My daughter has been with Cranfield since she was an infant. We have loved and appreciated all of her wonderful teachers throughout the years. This year we are fortunate enough to be in Miss Karly and Mr. Adrian’s class. Their lesson plans have helped my daughter flourish and I have noticed a huge leap in her knowledge. Not only is she more self aware and expressive regarding her emotions but she is also demonstrating improvement in phonics and writing. Miss Karly and Mr. Adrian deserve so much recognition and gratitude for facilitating this development in just one month. I am beyond thrilled and feel confident that my daughter will be Kindergarten ready!

My daughter has been attending Cranfield Academy on Providence for almost two years now. Since the first day when I picked up my daughter and multiple staff members said good-bye to her by name, we have felt loved and that our daughter was safe and cared for. They allow the children to be their own best selves while fostering independence and responsibility. Her teacher Miss Thembi is a warm and cheerful person, who each morning makes a point to greet the children enthusiastically and to celebrate them. When I pick her up, she is full of stories to tell of her adventures and learning that day. It would break my heart that my daughter runs into the room without a backward glance towards me, except that I know its because Cranfield is her happy place and a home away from home for her.

My daughter LOVES Cranfield! This is her second year at Cranfield Providence. As soon as she wakes up, she changes and demands we take her to Cranfield early. This is important to me because I had to remove her from a different daycare where she would cry during drop off and wouldn’t talk in the PM when I picked her up.As an OT who studied child development and worked with kids, I love their curriculum and teaching style. They discuss so many interesting concepts like safari. Cranfield is a parent’s dream!!!?

We enrolled our kids at Cranfield Academy - Providence after attending another facility for a few years. Unfortunately, things at the last place went pretty south after covid and reopening, and the writing was on the wall. We knew the experience did not meet our expectations, but we didn't fully realize it until our kids started attending Cranfield. Since beginning the TK program, our daughter has BLOSSOMED. She stopped crying every morning before drop-off and started looking forward to seeing her teachers and friends. There is lots of LEARNING happening, and she is excited to tell Mom & Dad what she learned at school. Making the switch to Cranfield was the best decision we made, and we are so grateful for the fantastic teachers and leadership in place that provide such excellent care.

Cranfield Academy Providence is in a class of its own. The leadership is devoted to providing every child with a safe, loving, fun, and educational experience. The director, Ms. Suzanne, and the Assistant Director, Ms. Shelby, work together to create a welcoming atmosphere, a strong curriculum, and a nurturing environment. They are also incredibly organized and expert communicators. The teachers are for the most part long-timers, who really understand children and how to lead them and help them grow. Ms. Chela, in particular, dazzles with her endless energy and creative teaching style. She uses singing, dancing, and playing to teach foundational skills in an exciting and captivating way. It’s no wonder the children all look so happy at the end of the day!

I genuinely enjoy working for Cranfield! The staff truly care about me as well as every single child in the facility. I have felt such a warm welcome since the day I walked in, and they show their appreciation for us every single day!

I have tried every type of childcare: live in nanny, live out nanny, au pair, half-day preschool, and several daycares for my three children over the years and by far we have had the best childcare experience at Cranfield Academy Providence. There are several reasons why, beginning with the morale and happiness of the teachers. They have staff members who have been there for nearly 20 years, just looking at the longevity of the teachers tells you that the school is well run, the staff is happy and committed and it trickles down into the classroom. Teachers are genuinely cheerful and glad to be there, and the kids respond by having good drops off and not hating going to school. The administration truly bends over backwards to meet families needs, and they have a real focus on what matters, not just sticking to a policy for policy's sake. They care, are accessible, and excellent with communication. I also really like the apps they use to keep parents apprised of the kids activities and major developments throughout the day. We are moving and have to find a new daycare, which break my heart because I would've stayed here as long as my children are under school age.

This facility will keep sick children amongst well children. Teachers can report illness in room from fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and skin rashes on MULTIPLE children and directors will say “keep an eye on it”. Rather than notify parents.Parents aren’t notified until several children have been confirmed to have salmonella, the flu, head lice etc. the virus has already been transmitted at this point. It’s disgusting.

Why asking for a lot of personal questions, (especially Ms. Victoria) when you know that you won't offered the position & wasting people time to begin with??(my opinion).

Our experience at Cranfield was absolutely wonderful! The staff is very warm and professional; they became like family to my son. He loved going to Cranfield every day and would cling to the teacher when it was time to leave, he just wanted to stay, he loved it. I loved how well they communicated with me about my son and that they worked on developmental tasks with him. He learned a lot of baby signs in the toddler room so he could communicate with us better at home. It was very comforting to know he was so well taken care of when I couldn't be with him!

Keep looking! Unfortunately, this is not the best choice in the Charlotte/Matthews area. Very unorganized and not a very good curriculum. Very high turnover! The people they hire are questionable and not even sure if they are "certified." The infant teacher is the only good thing about this place, but the others were not very energetic and excited to be there. Barely worked on anything with my child. She has been in a new place for a short time and has progressed so much faster. Also, it very unprofessional when they would have the kitchen help watch classroom because they too cheap to hire assistants to help with the rooms. You are paying a lot and not getting much in return. The chain daycares are cheaper and offer much more!

We have been a Cranfield Academy for two years and it is by far the best day care our children have attended. We highly recommended this school. We feel because it is privately owned there is a high level of personal care and concern for our children. We particularly appreciate the attentive teachers and the varied lesson plans. Our kids have thrived at Cranfield and look forward to going to school. They are happy and well loved here.
