DO NOT RECOMMEND! My wife needed surgery…. It took 1 hour for someone to say hello to me… doctors and nurses told me different non corresponding things. I wasn’t even allowed to sit next to my wife during check in. In fact I wasn’t told “hello” but instead told “your not allowed here”. Nurses won’t let me see her even though the doctor told me to come back to see her.I feel completely unwelcome here. WILL NOT RETURN OR RECOMMEND. Folks please be weary. I took time out of my day to warn others. This is a first for me.

Nurses, Surgeons, and staff are all absolutely wonderful! Everyone is knowledgeable, courteous, kind, and professional. HOWEVER, the off-site billing department is straight garbage. Due to an error by the billing department, I paid second part ofrequire amount on the date of my procedure. I recieved a call today andstating that I owe them 509.59. My total out of pocket was 1009.50 I have made multiple attempts to correct this issue first with coming in the office and providing official credit card statements and letter from the bank. The calls stopped for about 3 weeks and have since started back. I had a rep call me this morning and while attempting to explain to him that he woke me up he began laugh like it was funny. Its like pulling teeth to get them on the phone.

I had an orthopedic surgery yesterday and everyone at Charlotte Surgery Center Museum was professional and attentive and compassionate. The spaces themselves were clean and attractive. My only complaint is that I told everyone, and it was recorded, that I am allergic to NSAIDs but was prescribed Meloxicam (an NSAID). It should be in someone's job description, either at the surgical center or in the doctor's office, that when they fax or call in a prescription to a pharmacy, they check the patient's records to make sure they are not allergic to it. Thankfully, I read about unfamiliar medications to double check. In this case, I must have been the only person to check.

My experience was very unpleasant. 1st of all I've had to be sedated a lot , unfortunately... This place, pre anesthesia called me ahead of appointment.. they lied to me... On the phone & the day of my surgery.. if u been put under knifes & lasers as many unfortunate times I have u will understand. The lie?? Pre anesthesia told me propofal... All the way until.. I noticed.. in their vial of anesthesia.. I saw water, not milk.. which means.. anesthesia had vercet & NOT PROPOFAL! BIG DIFFERENCE PEOPLE! Yes I'm am VERY UPSET! Not at my Doctor! No she did do a excellent job! But anesthesia yes I'm very very upset that u lied to me! Coz I feel the BIG DIFFERENCE between vercet & PROPOFAL! So pre anesthesia & anesthesia DO NOT LIE TO UR PATIENTS AGAIN! I will not ever have my doctor or any other of my doctors use this place again. I will include photos of what my arms look like coz 'they' hard such a hard time starting me a IV also! In the pics u can not see the correct shades of blue & green that still hurts 3 days later..

First, let me start by stating that I had two lens replacements done here. The pre-op and post-op staff were great! The anesthesia people were just okay, and did not administer enough during my second visit. The pain wasn’t unbearable but I could feel the doctor working on my eye. Luckily, the procedure was short. The real issue here is with the customer service when calling in to the main line. I got an email with a cost and anesthesia fee. I called to verify this included the replacement lens along with the facility fee. I questioned the facility fee because it was $103 more than what my surgery coordinator quoted me based on the figures she was quoted by Charlotte Surgery Center. When I asked about the difference, Tiffany became hostile, defensive, and spoke over me several times. She stated that surgery coordinators that work for a patient’s ophthalmologist shouldn’t be quoting prices. I let her know the quote I was presented was based on what Charlotte Surgery Center quoted her. I was a self pay patient and stated that having a quote was detrimental in my decision. Tiffany told me if there was a billing mistake that “back office” would catch it. I wasn’t convinced and wasn’t going to rely on her word. After the quote for my second self pay eye surgery differed, I contacted Charlotte Surgery Center again. Of course I got Tiffany again. I asked why the same procedure that I had last month cost $103 more. She told me the first procedure was coded incorrectly and back office would catch it. I didn’t rely on her word because it had been almost a month and no one addressed this. I was able to get the number for billing after being spoken over again.Next, I contacted billing via email and phone. I never got an email response, but I did get a voicemail a few days later. I called back and spoke to someone about the incorrect coding. She forwarded the case to the billing resolution team and told me to follow up on a week.I contacted billing resolution via email because their voice mailbox was full and I couldn’t leave a message. After a few days, was never contacted, so I called again. I got a helpful gentleman on the phone who informed me that I was overcharged more than $1,600 and that a refund for each surgery was being processed to my payment methods. I requested two itemized statements that I never received. About a week later I had my refund and was glad I didn’t cross my fingers and hope Tiffany was right. If I hadn’t made a stink about the $103 initial overcharge, it is likely that I would have been out $1,600 that I didn’t realize I was overcharged. Not only did Charlotte Surgery Center code the procedure incorrectly, but they coded the facility fee wrong too.Ultimately I paid twice the facility fee because someone coded it as insurance pay instead of self pay. The people here didn’t listen or pay close attention to how they coded my procedures. It’s frustrating knowing I was overcharged $1,600, while Tiffany brushed off my concerns because she just didn’t want to hear or be bothered by them. Thanks for all your help and great customer service, Tiffany. Glad I didn’t take your word that back office would catch it because there’s no telling they would have. Tiffany didn’t care because it wasn’t her money or issue. Finally, the pre-and-post op teams we great. They were kind and caring. The customer service and billing departments need a lot of development.

Had sinus surgery here today. Major last minute issues with insurance which resulted in a last minute cancelation and very high stress. However, everyone in the place rallied to get it straight and handled a very upset patient very well. Hannah, Sydney, Robin and several others handled the situation with empathy and professionalism. Truly appreciated it.

My husband had surgery here- this rating is ONLY for the BILLING department. (The care was fabulous!!!). The headache with the billing department has actually changed my path for a surgery to be completed, as I don't want to deal with their billing again. We paid what they said was our estimated responsibility. Based on our insurance claim EOB- we overpaid and insurance covered way more than they estimated. We have emailed and left messages and after weeks have received nothing in return. We requested an itemized bill to try to understand why we were over charged and no "refund" in sight. We have been unable to actually speak to anyone. When we use the email address in the automated phone message, no reply. Again- care by nurses (and surgeon) fabulous. The billing department communication after the fact, horrible. Based on the other reviews- I am sure they will reply to this review and recommend we call the center to get cleared up, which we will do yet again tomorrow. Such a shame they can't get the billing department cleaned up, seems that would solve many of the low ratings on here.

I had a wonderful experience here. We felt completely safe and cared for. The staff here are knowledgeable and caring from check-in to the recovery bay.My husband and I had plenty of time to visit together prior to my surgery in the pre-op bay. Nurses and anesthesiologist visited with us frequently enough before I was brought back to surgery to make my stay feel comfortable. I am also so grateful to the nurses in the recovery bay for their different flavor popsicles. : )(As a note for future drivers- you are not allowed to leave the facility once the patient is checked-in.)

Adding this review as I saw it was left with the wrong location over a year ago. Surgery was 2019.My issue is with the billing department. I called repeatedly to check my benefits and what I would be responsible for prior to my surgery. Paid that amount at the time required. Over a year after my surgery I received a bill for an additional $1200. Now if I owe it I owe it but after numerous calls and emails not one person could or would send me and itemized bill as to where the additional money was coming from and was told they were going to send me to collections. I don’t mind paying the money but as the patient I feel I deserve to know where this mystery bill is coming from.

We had a wonderful experience here with our son. Place was clean and friendly. It was run efficiently and very organized . Wait time was as expected. The team of Dr’s and nurses were very very good. Dr. Katz and Dr. Puri were the best. We were made to feel welcome and at ease. Our 9yr old was treated so sweetly and they made him forget any anxiety he had. They were exceptional in how they made him feel so comfortable and cared about. Everything was explained in detail before and after the surgery. They let us ask as many questions if we had any. Overall we are thankful for this place and the great care we received. The staff is very kind. Each and every staff member we interacted with was so nice and caring. His team even signed a card for him ?. They called the next day to check how our son was doing.Billing department was good to us too. They handled us very well and no complaints.

Home recovering now from gallbladder surgery. To say I was a nervous wreck going in is an understatement. The staff there was AMAZING! Everyone had a smile on their face and was so helpful. I have a real fear of being under anesthesia. They really helped to put my mind at ease. I would definitely go there again if needed! Shout out to Nurse Brittany for answering my numerous questions and getting me prepped LOL.

The facility, nurses, surgeons, and staff are all absolutely wonderful! Everyone is knowledgeable, courteous, kind, and professional. One of the best surgical experiences I've had. HOWEVER, their off-site billing department is absolute garbage. Due to an error by the billing department, I double-paid for my procedure. I never received the reimbursement for double payment and ended up having to file a dispute through my bank. It also turns out that I overpaid - insurance covered more than what was estimated. It's been over a month and I have still not been reimbursed what was overpaid. I called in today and was told that it should have already been done. The CSR attempted to get management on the phone to have it handled and he was unable to get anyone to answer.TLDR: Facility and staff are great, billing department is terrible.

My daughter got her her tonsils and adenoids removed, and tubes put in at Charlotte Surgery Center - Museum Campus this month. Everyone from the front desk to the post-op nurse was so sweet and caring. My daughter just turned 4 so she was a little nervous but was quickly comforted by everyone. The whole team was so lovely and made us feel at ease before the procedure. The surgery itself was life changing for my daughter but I am so happy with the entire experience. They have a wonderful team over there!

This facility was amazing, they truly went above and beyond for my son’s surgery. From the check in lady to recovery and everyone in between every single person was friendly, patient and kept us informed every step of the way. Our pre op nurse Emily had excellent bed side manner and was super helpful to keep my son calm. They made us feel as if we were the only people in the building. I’ve never had such great care and I wasn’t even the patient. I wish all health care was like this place

I had a wonderful experience at this surgery center. I suffer with extreme anxiety and was dreading this surgery. I came in an anxious mess and immediately a staff member came to reassure me. Every staff member, nurse, doctor, anesthetist, etc made my comfort their priority. Everyone was on the same page about my needs. I was able to address my concerns and get solutions (especially for my issues with anxiety and nausea). The staff did an excellent job informing me of everything that was going on and were extra patient. My favorite part was how well they included my family in everything and cared for me even after left the facility. Our only negatives would be privacy in pre op and post op, hearing other conversations on every side of me made me anxious. We also would have liked to been informed about additional payments day of surgery but that is not really the centers fault more insurance, we just wish we had been prepared. I would 100% recommend this center to anyone who is anxious about surgery and this made me believe that great healthcare still exist!
