Horrible experience today. Dropped my 7 pound dog off for a 7 day stay here. Picking her up we got into it with the owner of the store. When dropping off my dog we specifically asked about pricing. Our question was “how much is it a day for boarding?” 3 different people told us $20 a day. After ringing up at the counter the owner then tells us our total is $330?!?! Apparently we did not specifically ask the day and night fee. We mention the fact that’s not what we were told. His response was “why would we give you information that wasn’t asked for?” SCAM!! The owner got very snappy with my fiancé, then proceeded to write his number down and tell us to take him to small claims court, completely unprofessional. We were expecting to pay somewhere near $200. Especially with the quality of the environment in this place. $300 is absolutely absurd. Not to mention we sent her with two servings of food per day, and we’re giving back five cans. Did my dog not eat for three days ?! Never again learned my lesson boarding my dog. My sister-in-law boarded for the exact same vacation $265 for TWO DOGS a great Dane and a German Shepherd at Dogwood Kennel Highly recommend them do not waste your money here.

They were so good with our dog. She has separation anxiety and they knew exactly how to handle it. These guys are good, and definitely recommend them. Thanks guys!!

Our boy Murdoch had a very good daycare date today! He came back so happy and tired (a feat, to be sure!) and he had the cutest little report card! We wish we were local so we could send him back!

Tank absolutely loves going to Play and Stay Pet Resort! He tries to jump over the seat to get out when we pull up! The staff is so friendly and you can really tell they love playing with all the pups, making sure to keep them happy and safe. They can always tell me about Tank’s day and the friends he’s made when he’s there. He comes home happy and exhausted...which is a great sign! I haven’t had to board him yet, but I have no question that he will be in great hands there when I do! Tank can’t wait it come back and play soon!

I have a basset hound, Baxter and he is a handful but in a very good way. Wants all the attention, all the love and yes all the treats. He gets so excited when he hears my car keys as he knows we going for drive(he loves car rides), arriving at daycare he can’t get out of the soon enough. Best time his day is playtime outside with his friends. He adores the staff and they absolutely love him. This last Saturday unfortunately he didn’t feel like him self, I got a call immediately when he got sick and of course I freaked out as I’m at work and can’t leave but Amanda assured me that they will be with him and keep an eye on him at all time. She was in contact with me the whole day to keep me updated. The care and love Baxter receives from everybody at daycare is so much more I every expected. I can not thank them enough for taking such good care my dude. Thank you guys so much for everything that you guys do, I truly appreciate and love it.

Nothing but good things to say. They’ve gone out of their way to make me and my pups feel welcome as well as creating fun experiences for my toddler when he comes with me to pick them up. Knowledgeable and friendly beyond what we would ever expect. My dogs can’t wait to get inside to play when we pull up!

If you want your fur baby to be care for while away from home or just during the day, this is the place. I have taken my fur child here for the first time ever being at any pet stay and the amount of comfort this place gave me is and was top notch. So many pictures and videos that were sent to me. When I picked my baby up she was very happy. They do so many activities with them and make sure all dogs are grouped together well. My baby has made so many new friends. We absolutely love bringing our sweet Lola to Play and Stay. The level of care that is shown our sweet pup is comforting. The staff is attentive not only to our pups physical needs but also her mental needs providing updates on her socializing as well as her occasional need for private time. I also LOVE how they give our pup treats on holidays and special occasions. The perfect home away from home! Would highly recommend to anyone.

The Play and Stay Pet Resort in Charlotte is the BEST place to take your baby for day care and boarding. The staff is wonderful and takes the time to get to know your pet and keep them safe and happy during their stay. Their staff is very accommodating do the needs of your pet. They also provide grooming services that are very affordable and convenient. I highly recommend checking them out.

View the video of how owner treats the dogs there, you will never go back. Dogs cannot talk and report abuse, but we can. I strongly suggest you review the video on facebook before entrusting the care of your beloved pet there. Chartlotte Dog Resort Owners - you should concern yourself with your behavior rather than how you were exposed.

Just saw a video filmed by a staff member (who quit when seeing this) of the owner grabbing her dog by the collar, picking him up by it, and then saying she would break his neck. Don’t bring your dog here. If she does this to her own dog who knows what she does to others
