Kelly Lang was the absolute worst person I’ve ever encountered. Long story short, I inherited a French Bulldog(female) due to not knowing much about her, our dog impregnated her. We took her to have an emergency c-section, afterwards Kelly had no bedside manner whatsoever. She was short and her exactly words were “I wouldn’t be surprised if you wake up and the puppy is dead”. Never once mentioned the mother and puppy were SEPTIC due to one puppy being deceased while still in the womb. Allowed us to take sick mother and puppy home. I was told that if mother vomits bring her back as she could get pneumonia. Within 15 mins of being home, mother visits. I take her back to the emergency room, where we sit for 2 more hours trying to keep a sick puppy warm. After being asked for 1500.00 more dollars (just paid over 2k the same day for the c-section) for them to watch mother over night for pneumonia. Watch her! Never once mentioned she was septic until another doctor stepped in. Thank goodness for the other doctor. I handed the puppy over to staff so that she could be fed. Not even 5 mins later Kelly approached me in the bathroom and states “puppy’s dead”. Who says that to someone??? She is the WORST! I’ve never been treated so poorly in my life. We were there from 1pm to midnight dealing with a bunch of nonsense and withheld information.
Anyway.. let me give Dr. Dvorak her flowers because she deserves it. She saved mom’s life!! After spending 2 weeks in the hospital, we were able to take her home!! Getting her home and back up to speed was a challenge at first, but she’s 100% better. I can’t thank Dr. Dvorak enough!

We are new to the Charlotte area. Our dog slipped on the wood floors in our apartment. She had to spend the night at CARE! Dr. Julia Carlin called us twice to update us on our Ginger's condition. Dr. Carlin spoke in easy to understand terms and was very calming to my husband and me. The front desk staff was wonderful, especially Michelle and Josh. Michelle submitted our claim to Trupanion. Thanks Michelle for being extremely helpful and empathetic!

I can't thank Matthew Thompson and his team enough. They listened to what we had to say and talked to us through everything. They were able to find the cause of my puppy's issue and resolve it.

CARE is not my normal vet; we came for an emergency. Unfortunately, there was nothing they could do. It was the worst case scenario, but I think CARE handled it as gracefully as possible. The vet answered any questions we had, after which we were led to a room where we could say our final goodbyes. They wrapped our sweet boy in a blanket and brought him for us to hold, giving us as much time as we needed. When we were ready to take him home and lay him to rest, they had a separate door leading outside so we wouldn't have to walk past the other pet owners.
Compassion was shown to us throughout the process, and as hard as it is to lose a family pet, CARE made the day significantly less unpleasant.
10/10 hope I don't have to do that again

Had an incredible experience with Dr. Sayer! She thoroughly explained my cat’s condition and her delivery was calm and thoughtful. I felt like she and the technician took great care of my cat during her exam.

I had an amazing experience here! We are relocating after the hurricane and then I had an emergency with my dog. I was feeling very overwhelmed. I brought him into CARE on a Saturday morning and we spoke immediately with Sarah who was thorough, understanding, and listened. She was all around excellent and Nike and I are grateful.

If I could give CARE 10 stars, I would. They genuinely care about your pet and when it’s the most stressful time for you, they are compassionate, kind and communicate constantly. Always received a call back and even got several calls for an update without being prompted. My dog Mitch received the absolute best treatment (he loved it there) and I am so beyond grateful for the entire staff.

My wife and I want to thank you at CARE. Nevermind the costs but you saved our dog Patches life! We appreciate the updates along with the care and meds. Hopefully this never happens again but we know we can come to you again if needed. Thank you.

If you need specialty care or have an emergency in the area, there is no other better place to go. This should be the first place you look for specialty care, ESPECIALLY FOR CARDIOLOGY care.
I started using them 2 years ago when my dog, Reggie, had a seizure type episode and we thought he was dying. For reference, I also worked in pet retail for almost a decade and have a lot of experience dealing with different veterinarians in the area. CARE was the, hands down, best care I have ever received from a Vet. From Reggie's first episode to his passing 2 years later, we received quality care above and beyond. The care team is available 24/7 and always call you back with advice or information within hours if more information is needed. They are kind and caring, sitting with you when you need or giving you space. They give clear instructions and work with you to meet your needs, no matter your financial or emotional situation.
A huge shoutout to the cardiology team and Dr. Rouben who specifically treated Reggie's heart condition. The care team was so kind and down to earth. They were very attentive and would check on Reggie consistently. They were encouraging in the emotional times and understanding when fears and finances made decision difficult. Dr. Rouben has an amazing bedside manner and always made sure we understood what was needed for Reggie's care. He was prepared to work with us on any level that worked with our situation. I wish there was a better way to say thank you for the compassionate care we received from Dr. Rouben and his team, because no positive review will ever do the experience justice. They are meant to be doing exactly what they are doing and it shows.
The only thing that stood to possibly detract was financial. Dr. Rouben did a great job quoting us prices to make sure we could afford all the testing that goes into illness care. The final total was about $150 higher than what Dr. Rouben quoted. It took about 3 months of talking to the receptionists and finally the cardiology team was able to get the financial manager to call me back. She called me back the week after Reggie died and I couldn't face dealing with that. That was disappointing, not enough to detract from the 5 star care we otherwise received. My feedback would be for a better system with the financial manager. She might have been great, but getting connected with her was very frustrating. She was probably in a hard place having to call after Reggie died, but it would have been nice for her to acknowledge that in her message.
Dr. Rouben & team were incredibly kind after Reggie died and sent me heartfelt condolences that really meant the world at that time. Thank you to this team, you are amazing.

CARE - took great care of my husky as we found out she has cancer. The techs and doctors took time to explain options, and made us feel truly supported. I’ve also had to call after our normal vets business hours to determine if we needed to come right away for other situations and they do not push you to come in, unless they feel it is necessary. I never felt taken advantage of, only supported. Would recommend CARE to anyone in need.

I cannot thank CARE enough for saving our fur baby’s life! Everyone is so kind and loving.
One of the nurses, Kat, was super helpful, answered all of my questions and went above and beyond during our visit. Thank YOU!

you hope to never have to take your dog to the emergency vet, but fortunately care is such a great option if you do! I took my dog there because she ate something she shouldn't, and they were very helpful and explaining things to me and kindly treating my sick doggy. Of course it's going to be more expensive than a normal vet, which hurts, but it's worth it when you're in an emergency situation.

I couldn't possibly say enough kind things about the staff and quality of service we received at CARES. They were quickly able to get to the root cause of my dog, Hank's, health complications and provide him with excellent care. Not only were they incredibly professional and knowledgeable, but also profoundly kind and compassionate.
I'm happy to report that following his treatment at CARES, Hank has been in remission for over three months with a clean bill of health! I am so grateful to everyone at CARES for giving Hank a new lease on life and for providing me with the opportunity to spend what I hope to be many more years with my best friend

We were sent here a couple of days ago for my sweet cat Luther. He was in critical shape before we brought him from another local vet. These guys swept him right up and got to work on him. Poor Luther was not strong enough to take the fight, and sadly, we lost him last night.
I think if he had any chance, these people tried every one of them. They were caring and kind and understanding. They made the best decisions for Luther. While being ever so kind to us.
Luther was a once in a life time cat. I'm glad he had these loving people and us with him when he left us. I am also very aware that y'all kept him holding on for us, and I can't thank you enough for giving us the chance to say goodbye. He deserved the world.
Thank you for everything y'all did for him. Thank you for giving us time and handling Luther so well.
