This location didn’t have any trucks available the day of our pickup/move and the staff DID NOT bother to call or email us to notify us. When I asked for assistance finding another location they said could not help.

The worst. Had a reservation m and they didn't have a car. They were rude about it and refused to help me. My whole trip was ruined & had to pay for two hotels. 1) the one I couldn't get to and to the one in Charlotte where I was stranded because I had no car.

Mel is the new owner at this location. He did a great job with my truck rental with Budget and went the extra mile to help me. If you see older, negative reviews, they are from the previous owner. Give Mel a shot!

I returned a box truck and the service that I got was night and day compared to where I picked it up from. The gentleman that helped me on Sunday, 4/24 at 10 am, was helping a person in front of me and was aware that I could be in a hurry so he offered to email me a receipt as well as taking care of the rest of the drop off process after I left. I wasn’t in a hurry but I appreciate his awareness and attention to customer service.Every time a person came in, he greeted them, and made sure they felt welcomed and aware of their place in line. Although it was a busy morning for him, his attention to each customer made the wait unnoticeable.As he helped the other person, I noticed he was very patient, went through every single item on the contract to be sure he understood what was been presented, went through all the optional insurance and protection plans to be sure his customer knew everything he needed to make an educated decision on insuring his rental, walked them to their box truck to ensure it was in good condition, checked fuel levels, and gave instructions on how to use the truck.Overall, great experience for myself and the other customers in line. I will definitely come back to this location if I ever need another box truck or car rental and will for sure recommend this location to anyone!

I would like to rate below 1 star! I had a prepaid reservation that they refused to honor. They stated the decision to actual rent a car is at the local level so having a reservation and pre paying does not mean you actual have a car when the local location can refuse you a car!!!

If I could give this location and Budget Rent-A-Car a lower review than one star I would. I rented a car from Budget to be picked up the following day to drive from Charlotte to Clearwater, Florida. After making the reservation, which was confirmed, I received a call that the location for the pick up had been moved since they did not have a car available. The new location was a bit further away but they assured me that the car would be available there. Before leaving the next morning to pick up the rental car I called the location and did not receive an answer. I then went online and confirmed that a car would be available at that location that morning. After taking Uber to this branch office and walking in with my baggage I was informed by the agent that they had no cars. Furthermore, apparently there were no cars in the entire Charlotte metro area including the airport. I ask when a car would be available was again told there were no cars. I asked why nobody answered the phone and was told that too many people were coming in looking for cars and they were busy. The agent was far less than sympathetic and I told her that I was now stuck in the Charlotte area for another night, had just been dropped off by Uber and would likely miss an important meeting. No apology was offered nor any effort made to correct the situation. I had to make an airline reservation on the fly which cost me considerably more than the rental car would have been. It is my feeling that they just did not want to have a one-way rental but the car would've been taken to a high-volume market during peak season and spring break. This makes no sense at all and I have heard nothing from Budget since. I will never rent from them again.

Went there to pick up a moving truck. Had a reservation for 9am that I made online. Lady didn't get there to open up the shop until 9:20 and I was told that this location hasn't rented out trucks in 7 months! So why are they an option on Budget's website?? Long story short, book at the other South Blvd location NOT this one.

DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!!!!! THIS OWNER CANCELS EVERY TIME!!!!!! Not to mention the location is an absolute DUMP!!!! Do yourself a favor and book at 4200 South Blvd; the owner of this location is much better; friendlier and professional!!!

I made a reservation to pick up a moving van from this location a month in advance of the date I needed it. Literally 1.5 hours before I was supposed to pick it up, I received a call saying that they don't have my van not do they have any other van or truck that I can utilize. I had received countless emails from them in useless promotions and confirmation of reservation but they couldn't be bothered to tell me that they wouldn't have a vehicle for me in all this. I was told I would need to call corporate to see if they could find something for me nearby. So the issue they created by not having my reserved vehicle became a problem for me to take action to solve. When I called corporate, I was told a manager would call me within 2 hours (let's keep in mind this is past my pick up time) and no call was received. What a surprise. So now, I have to figure out my entire plans for the weekend.These guys are Budget for a reason, the budget part comes from their customer service.

First they couldn't find my reservation. Had to wait one hour for truck to be returned. Truck was broke upon being returned. They had no other trucks to rent me. Was suppose to be moving from Charlotte N.C. to Texas today. Heading to UHaul now.

This has been a headache to deal with. Every issue I’ve had, big or small, I’ve been told to call one number, transferred to another person, and haven’t had anyone be able to help me without having to talk to 1 or 2 other people first. This location never closed out my account after the truck was returned - resulting in the $150 deposit coming out of my account. The customer service rep couldn’t even get ahold of this location. I knew the employee was lazy when she wouldn’t even get up from her desk to do the walk around on the truck to check for damage but the fact that she hasn’t even closed the account 2 days later speaks volumes. Definitely choose a different location if you go with a budget truck rental.

I rent from budget and Avis all the time for business. First time I got a car that was dirty on the inside. Not something I expected from Avis budget group. Fries in between the seats, tooth pick on floor, trash stuffed in the side of the seat. Ashes in the door handle. If I didn't have only 3 hours to get to s meeting 2.5 hours a way. I would have gone to enterprise.
