This location is completely unprofessional with lazy workers and dirty rentals. I arrived for a 12:00pm reservation and was told that EYE needed to call my insurance to verify my coverage for rental without a head notice. I told the lady I had the insurance coverage information on my phone and they still wanted me to call and do their jobs. It was a complete waste of time (in which they knew) to contact any insurance here in NC.I was on hold for 40+ minutes waiting (still no answer from a LIVE rep on my end) while my card information had been taking by the lady at the front desk. They didn't even want customers to use their restroom after waiting/asking until she saw how frustrated I was and allowed my Mom to go. Another guy and lady went out to pull around a dusty ungassed commercial van around while I was on the phone. Had to make to guy go fuel it to avoid "problems" Like why even pull a rental around and my coverage hasn't been verify nor did I sign any paperwork?They had my parents go out to do a self-inspection while I was still on the phone. That's when I definitely noticed how shady business was getting. So I finally went outside to see what they were trying to put me in while I was still distracted on hold. I was LIVID after seeing how dirty this rental was and the lady had the audacity to say "it was "clean" Then she went back inside to see could grab a broom (when it really needed an entire wash inside/out) but that must of slipped her mind. Because she clearly went in to sit down and start gossipping with her other peers about not feeling like working in front of customers.Then they just magically disappeared and went to the back, leaving the front area unattended. I simply refused to wait another minute in the place. I ended up leaving to go to the U-HAUL corporate office around the corner on Boxmeer Dr (highly recommend btw) to rent a CLEAN vehicle without any of these unnecessary steps they made me do. It shouldn't have taking me 1 hour to get nothing with a reservation vs 15 minutes with something with no hassle. Long story short, I noticed I was charged $75 in which I will be filing a complaint/claim for an unauthorized charge.DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION -- ITS A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE AND THEY JUST BE HIRING ANYBODY!

We reserved a truck more than a week in advance for today. We get to the original place to pick up our truck, but, no truck. We go to another Budget location. Again, no truck. On to the third location, no truck. We weren't advised prior that there were any issues with the trucks. We weren't offered any help by the people in the stores. Called the main number and told we would have to wait 2 hours to be called back to see if they could have located a truck. This is horrendous customer service. We were not the only people this was happening to either.

I'm not sure what's going on with budget rental locations in Charlotte but, two strained experiences in the same day trying to rent a truck. Something just isn't right.No worries, U-Haul saved the day with a flawless and high touch pick up and drop off.

HORRIBLE service. Avoid them. I had a reservation for over 2 wks and after flying across the country I go there and they let me know they did not have the van I rented!! Waited over 2 hours to try to get it straightened out and ended up getting way over charged for a truck but they new I was desperate and took advantage of me.

Should be no stars. Appt scheduled for 11am, arrived at 1107 by shop clock, 1102 by phone clock. Told that they closed at 11am, refused to rent truck. Then charged $75 cancellation fee.

Great service from the manager although the truck is kinda old (not his fault) but it runs OK and the A/C is working so no worries...

I made a reservation 2 WEEKS AGO. I am a commercial account holder. I arrived today to pick up the box truck that I reserved. After paying $2250 and initialing the paperwork I was given a clipboard with paperwork along with a key for me to conduct a walk around inspection of the truck. I was instructed to do this by the ladies behind the counter. The truck that they gave me the key to wasn't even on the lot. The rep didn't believe me so, she went to look for it and realized that I was telling the truth. She them go me another key for a truck that didn't have a lift gate. After informing her that it did not have a lift gate she developed a very nasty attitude with me because I refused to take the truck. Keep in mind that they had 2 WEEKS to find the truck that I requested! I asked for my money to be returned to my card immediately. I then asked if could be given documentation that my money would be returned. I was talk to work it out with my bank.. I will NEVER do business with budget ever again. They caused me to lose out on a $6577 load picking up less than 4 miles from this location.

This company has by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Even if you think you're saving money by choosing this truck rental agency JUST DONT as it's truly not worth the few dollars you might save in the end.

Macy went out of her way to ensure that I got the truck that I reserved. Because of her kindness, flexibility, and professionalism, I was able meet the movers in a timely manner and complete my move. I could not have made the deadline without Macy's help.

The lady at the desk was friendly, but in the middle of trying to get everything taken care of everyone working just kind of stopped and started talking with one another and wasted some of our time when we were trying to hurry up and start moving. The truck was a bit of a mess. She told us it was the best smelling truck they currently had but it smelled like an ash tray. I'd hate to know what the others were like. Seats were all torn up and wasn't very clean. It was really banged up on the outside, I took a lot of pictures to make sure we wouldn't be charged for any damages already there. My biggest issue was that I put the $150 deposit down that Saturday and she said I would have it back in my account by Tuesday. It has been a week and it still hasn't posted to my account. When I called to ask her about it she said give it another 24 hours. I called again and she gave me a customer service number to call. The phone number wasn't even in service. I looked up the correct number myself. They told me it takes 5-7 business days to come back. This would have been fine but their staff needs to be more informed instead of telling people they'll have their money back right away. Overall, it could have been worse but I won't rent there again.

Don't ever rent from this budget, the employee working charged me $50 for a cancellation fee. Upon arriving the employee took my Credit card information before disclosing prices. The woman refused my rental without the extra Insurance. I told her I will not rent anything. She still charged my card. When I called to talk to the employee she blocked my number from calling. I had to call the 1-800 number to have the charge taken off.
