This Bank does not care about its customers. They will try to hide their high interest rates and take advantage of you. Their customer service is extremely rude. They will keep you on hold for long periods of time to get you to hang up. I would strongly advise to find a another bank.

If it was possible to give a negative I would. Went in to deposit and withdraw money from my account during my lunchtime. The line was 10 people in front of me and one teller all the other teller windows where configured to fit in another ATM. BOA not everything can be done on the ATM if it could be I wouldn't even walk in to the Bank just not to face the manager and the teller. But upon arrival the manager tells me that I can withdraw money from the ATM. But I can't not the amount that I need it's over the withdraw limit. So as I was staning in line the me and the other patrons start talking about the ridicules line and we complain to each other. When it's my turn to go to the teller she tells me that I can deposit the check via ATM. I told her I knew that but I needed to withdraw money from my account. At the end of the transaction the teller told me that I shouldn't complain for the length of time it takes to wait become that transaction was only possible to do with the teller. I wouldn't have even written this rant if the teller didn't tell me not to complain that it took me 50 minutes to get my cash during my 1 hour lunch time. And since most of us work from 8am-5pm lunch time is the only time I can come in for her to tell me not to complain that it took me 50 minutes is ridiculous and disrespectful of my time. The other issue is that the community North Port FL you as a Bank serve is mostly the Elderly and they have a hard time to use a cell phone let along a ATM be real. So instead of getting rid of the 3 tellers and having more ATM machines add more people and be friendlier.

I will be vehemently cautioning every business owner I know against ever opening a Bank of America business credit card.To say that Bank of America's approach to handling these cards is utterly ridiculous would be an understatement. They have devised the baffling strategy of splitting each business credit card into two infuriatingly separate clickable sections, ostensibly to segregate corporate charges. However, this only creates confusion, as it needlessly fragments credit charge information, rendering it an arduous task to decipher one's correct balance. The sheer amount of clicking required to glean basic account information is nothing short of a maddening ordeal. It wasn't long before my patience wore thin, and I had no choice but to dial the bank's customer service line to request a breakdown of my recent transactions. This inquiry revealed fraudulent charges on my account. Still, after being transferred to a new representative to dispute these unauthorized charges, I was met with the startling revelation that he, too, was utterly befuddled by Bank of America's byzantine system. He confessed his inability to locate the charges I sought to dispute, leaving me incredulous and exasperated. It's crucial to emphasize that this isn't a failing on the part of the representative – I genuinely wish he were more familiar with the banking portal than I was. No, this debacle squarely lands at the feet of Bank of America. For a financial institution that purports to serve business owners, their business banking portal is nothing short of an exasperating catastrophe. It's a disservice to those who value their time and efficiency and entrust their financial affairs to this institution.

Worst bank ever, they put fraud alerts on recurring transactions, tell you to call a particular phone number, waste your time with multiple verifications only to be told you called the wrong department. If you are a small business owner they will waste your time with these alerts, you will have to take time off work to handle them as your money and cards will be locked up. As far as interest, you make nothing off your money. Also when it comes to giving out loans they are the worst for small businesses. You will get nothing. I also remember when it was time to distribute the ppp funds Bank of America was denying small businesses all over the place and packing the money away for larger companies that fell into trouble later on. Worst bank ever and worst for small businesses.

I tried to use my credit card online and the charge was identified as suspicious and blocked (which seems to happen more often than not lately). I called the fraud department and they had me verify my information, but then said they could not verify me, so I would need to go to a security center with two forms of ID to verify my identity. The customer service rep could then not find the location of the service center because the system was loading. The rep could not explain what had happened, except the only path forward was to visit the service center. Now I have to take time off work to verify my identify.I don't see how customer service could get any worse than this.

I have a Bank of America credit card with a large balance of approximately 22,500, which is divided into 4 balances, purchases, promotional transfer, and 2 cash advances. I made a payment of 15,000 by phone, so I could request that after the monthly payment was met, I wanted the balance transfer and cash advances paid off first. The BOA member did not know and could not see what was paid off. Well, I called back after receiving a statement, and after payment, it left promotional balance of 7,000, and now I will be charged 18 months of interest on the original amount of the balance transfer this month. I am trying to fix my credit and the way your bank processes payments, just plain wrong, unethical, a rip-off. So don't bother responding unless you plan to do the right thing and fix this.

Big taht cant fail, hence impersonal, commercial not investment bank hence dismal rates and plenty of fees, no customer service e-mail only calls, wait time 1/2 hr, very often with part of their site down and customers prompted with a "try back later" message at the end at times of a long processjust not to recommend for a person/family

Bank of America, Charlotte Day 2 of our 10K North America road trip! Google Goals ART and Culture with the Museum of Human Goals Travel and had an amazing time! However, the experience at Bank of America wasn't as smooth. Trying to get travel cards for the trip, but the process has been delayed, and management hasn't been responsive to phone calls. Some department managers were supportive, while others never replied. On the bright side, the brunch managers were nice and supportive. The sticker of Bank of America was not available but Cup has been gifted. Great to know The Goals of Bank of America for Museum of Human Goals ?

I had 2 door dash transactions on July 12, 2023 that I used my bank of america Grifols prepaid card for. When I attempted to use my card for another door dash transaction I had exactly $24.84 on my card. The charge for the 3rd door dash order was 23.91. I was very surprised when I saw that my card kept declining! I called the Bank of America service rep early July 13, 2023 around 1:15 am. She explained that there was a service fee/hold instituted by BofA for using the card for DoorDash. She explained the actual initial charge would be 28.69 and that it was detailed in a fee disclosure I received with my prepaid card. I looked at my account immediately after and compared to the DoorDash receipts to find out they had indeed been charging me fees unaware. This was outrageous to me considering the fees/holds were not listed anywhere in the account, just baked into the transactions which differed significantly from the receipts the merchant issued. Why were these extra charges not notated or listed in the transaction list? I transferred to the supervisor (Claudia Cruz) and demanded they remove the fees as the transactions listed were inaccurate as they didn't show that fees were attached to these transactions. She refused and instead kept repeating it was listed in the disclosure with the prepaid card. I later called the merchant (DoorDash) the same day July 13, 2023 and they insisted that they only charge what is on the receipt given and that their policy does not issue holds for more than the amount shown on the receipt. Furthermore, I checked the fee disclosure online and it does not list these fees anywhere! These business practices are very misleading and there is no excuse for these shady practices and undisclosed fees/holds. So, I filed a complaint with the CFPB about said fees shortly after my call with DoorDash on July 13, 2023 and received a response for my complaint via Phone and Email that refused to acknowledge my issue and stated that their investigation found no wrongdoing. I asked how this is possible, considering I have actual photos of the receipts showing different amounts than what was charged by DoorDash. She replied shifting the blame from BofA to DoorDash saying this was their policy and not mine. I believe a thorough investigation into these fees/holds was not done and I believe that they are not acting in accordance with state and federal law by not disclosing these fees and failing to investigate under regulation E.

Someone opened an account in my name without permission and they refuse to close it, and they won’t answer the phone when you call so good luck.

Awful. I closed my account after they compromised my personal information and then refused to comply with the consumer protection provisions of the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act. They also told me I didn't have permission to record telephone calls that they were recording themselves, as though they had asked my permission to record. How presumptuous!PS - Your Social Media Client Care team ignored me ten months ago. Why should I try again now when Bank of America has told me they're unwilling to provide me with the requested information and now consider the matter resolved? Dead end.
