This is the worst hookah lounge I have ever experienced. I walked in after a concert, (because it was walking distance) with a total of four people. Another couple walked in at the same time and we both sat in two different booths. We asked if they were still open because it was so desolate and were told yes. It’s no wonder they can’t keep customers because both of us sat for ten minutes like idiots. I’ve worked service industry for years so I can understand how it can be frustrating when customers don’t understand how the business model works. However, if I had 6 customers walk in for the first time in a whole evening I would absolutely make them feel welcome and bring them menus? At the very least inform them of how to get service. After several minutes of waiting around both of our tables got up and made purchases at the vape store which was silly because there was no reason to support a business that cared so little about their customers. It was a bunch of young kids that obviously cared more about smoking the product than selling it. If I were the owner I would be utterly pissed at the employees that represent their business so poorly.I also had to convince the group I was with to join me on this excursion. They were skeptical, but willing and unfortunately the staff made me feel so stupid and humiliated for even suggesting this location. One kid(who seemed to be an employee) even walked by both of our tables filming the other side of empty tables. I wonder if he was trying to get cut early because of the “lack of business”

This was my first visit and I'd definitely go back. It was a chill environment. The attendant was nice and very attentive. Hookah was affordable and they had a good variety of flavors.

Bad reviews are for the people not used to charlotte nightlife or Babylons long history in charlotteI’ve been visiting since they were on Albemarle road across from the dollar general!! They have been my goto for a fun night .. no matter when you visit you will meet new people and never forget that night! They’re a hookah bar so no alcohol, they close at 3am still because of this!!

Ridic expensive! $35 for a hookah!?! That's South Beach prices w/o the vibe. Also, tea is literally just a tea bag in a pot...plus $20 cover at the door per person!?!? The DJ was good, but literally nightclub vibe, so loud u cannot talk or hear each other, so def not the usual laid back relax atmo u would expect from a hookah lounge.Service was terrible. Had to ask for coals 3x and was told "they take awhile to light"...wtf?! And then still took almost 20mins before we got coals!?Ur a hookah lounge, howTF do u not have coals at the ready!?!The bathrooms were disgusting too.Definitely the only thing this place has going for it is it is open til 4am, but that is it.

Went on Saturday 7/9 and This spot is lit!!! The DJ was from BK, NYC so you already know the music was A1. The cons: the restrooms & no alcohol. The pros: the music, DJ, and Hookah is clean and blows well. They sell food as well. There was a $20 cover charge (with no alcohol so that kind of sucks.) And the initial hookah is $45 but it's large and the refills are $15. The crowd is a mixture of vibes and everyone was dancing!! I was dancing the entire time lol. I gave 4 stars but it's really a 3.5 spot. Primarily because your hookah girls can be a bit more friendly and the process to get a hookah is a hassle. Maybe I'll try them out again I'm not sure though. For the music yes.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They took me and my boyfriends $40 at the door and refused to refund us after I walked to the bar and told them I changed my mind about wanting to take part in their services. No one was there yet (customers) and we didn’t even sit down yet. The staff took our money via cash app and lied saying they couldn’t send it back until the owner came in and approved…whole time he was in the back hiding. When he came out he refused to talk to us or explain why we couldn’t get our money back. Waste your money going here if you want to!!

Hookah lounges are meant to be just that, lounges. You can't hear anything over the super loud music. Trying too hard to be a night club, which ultimately is their downfall.

Too loud, can't enjoy anything. Is a hookah lounge but they tried to make it sound like a nightclub.

My first time coming to this spot I thought was cool my lady friend and I where just spending the evening out looking for tabacco free hookah that they have. To make a long story short I don’t believe they clean there equipment. And I contracted covid in this place from there hookah equipment. I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU TELL THEM TO BRING OUT CLEAN EQUIPMENT. I don’t want anybody else to end up with covid like I did what a waste of my money time and now I have to spend time off my job because of this place. TOTALLY OVERRATED

They are crazy expensive and 3 times more expensive then their sister business was on Sharon ave. $32 for the most basic hookah what a waste.

Babylon offers an incredible night life atmosphere full of good music, friendly staff, and a great location. The music is always bumping with high energy in uptown Charlotte. You would be missing out on a great time if you didn't go either for a tasty hookah smoke or just a fun time. GO GET LIT!!

The people who work here are nice. The acoustics are wonderful. I am giving this two stars because when I think of Hookah, I am looking for a nice relaxing atmosphere, not a night club. We weren't given tongs for our coal and there was gum on top of the table we were seated at. This is not a hookah lounge, it's a hookah club. If you're looking to have ringing ears by the end of the night paired with a throbbing headache, look no further. They do not sell alcohol and we couldn't really talk over the music. Not a bad place if you're looking to party, but we won't be returning.
