Both Matt A. and James H. were excellent in helping me with my needs. Since I was working on a smaller project (my own home), I didn't know if 84 Lumber would be willing to sell me smaller quantities of materials that I needed. Other companies in the area completely ignored my request, or stopped communication with me when they realized I wasn't a "big sale", but when I talked to James and Matt at 84 Lumber, they not only sold me what I needed, they helped me load it. They treated me as they treat their very large customers which made me feel good about purchasing from 84 Lumber. Since then, I have returned to order custom interior doors, Facia, siding, and pretty sure I'll be back for more materials for our home makeover. Great service, fast delivery, and highly recommend using them for your project needs.

I am super happy with the service advisors and sales at 84 they are very helpful. As a contractor my sales rep Matt always is on point whether I give him a list or send over prints he does my material makeup spot on and always gets the best pricing. He’s very knowledgeable definitely ask for Matt great guy!

Matt A. has been very helpful and responsive from the start of us doing business together. As a small business it is nice to have a vendor that answers the phone, is prompt, and works hard to get you what you need.Jerry, one of their delivery drivers went above and beyond at our shop as well. He spent an extra 20 helping us get our lumber delivery inside and didn’t hesitate to say yes!

I visited this location in December to purchase some lumber for my fencing project. I was assisted by Matt at the counter who was knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. I had to coordinate with Matt to schedule the delivery as I was leaving out of town for a week and wanted to wait to see what the weather would be like upon my return. Matt was prompt to respond to my emails and my order was delivered on-time. I'll definitely be returning to this location in the future. Be sure to ask for Matt when you stop in and he will go out of his way to take care of you!

Recently a hit and run driver took out over sixty running feet of fencing in our horse pasture. The type of fencing we use is not carried by any vendor in the Carolinas. But when I explained our dilemma to Matt Alberghini at 84 Lumber in North Charlotte, he was able to locate a fence manufacturer in the Pacific Northwest and arrange for a special order of replacement fencing to be delivered to our farm. Matt and his team went above and beyond the normal call of duty to help a customer in need, and that is a rare and commendable quality in today's business world; one that we will not soon forget. I wholeheartedly recommend 84 Lumber as an excellent source for anyone's building supply needs.

Absolutely HORRIBLE employees in Charlotte, NC. I am not a customer (which makes this even worse) and the two men driving a box truck parked in front of my garage (on a no parking at any time street). When I let them know I needed to leave for work, they ignored me and continued working. When asking AGAIN for them to move they laughed and said "in a minute". They then proceeded to get into the truck and laugh while making eye contact with me. After FINALLY moving they then waited for me to pull out of my driveway and continue to laugh and mock me like children? What company allows their employees to be so rude and act so childish? Great representation of your business.

Dont know much about this place but all i know is it makes no sense for it to take 3 days to get a quote for less than 100' of moulding. Pretty sure im being pushed off and ignored. My company uses a decent amount of product doing restorations and i think our total invoicing from Carter lumber was just shy of 55,000 last year. I had a problem with carter lumber so i was looking for an alternative. If i cant rely on someone to get me a simple quote for 70' of crown molding then why would i shop here? Minimal effort from these folks. Not going to give it a one star because i dont know the entire business.

Before I knew the fact their wages were/are super low at poverty level, I applied at this job. Never showed up to my first day due to coming to my senses. But ever since they send me job emails like they still trying to hire me lol. I’ve asked to be removed from email list but nothing happens and there is no way to unsubscribe from the unwanted solicitation. Maybe a harassment lawsuit might get me off the list??

Come here to deliver a special order got in at 10 am going on 12:30 and have yet to be unloaded. It takes them an hour to unload 1 truck this is ridiculous but I guess that’s what you get when you go to Charlotte Nc.

84 Lumber installed our windows at the Carolina Orchards in Fort Mill, SC. One window failed a few years ago and they replaced it with any issues. A second window failed back in April 2021. I've contacted them several times only to be told they would get back to me which they never did. I just found out that I need to file my claim online so that now puts me in the back of the line for a replacement.Warranty is an important issue to consider when investing in your home.
