They've "remodeled" the store, and somehow managed to make the shopping experience even worse than before. I've started shopping elsewhere unless I absolutely have to have something from here.

Ordered a photo book online and when they said the order was ready for pickup, it just loose photo pages - no book. They said they don’t have the materials for it. They said to get a refund online. I seriously can’t dumb it down enough for this. I checked online same day and it still says they offer same day photo book printing at this Walmart. The experience reminds me of Idiocracy.

Self checkout did not print a receipt for me. I informed the man at the door who asked to see my receipt of this and he told me I needed to go find the self checkout cashier and tell them. I told him I didn't need a receipt but he insisted. I assumed it was because of the toilet paper in my cart (only item that wouldn't fit in a bag) and told him that I did not steal the toilet paper and that I didn't have time to go find the cashier and would be leaving. He then got angry and waved me off with his hands and told me to "shoo" and started to walk off. The employee walking with him to his credit apologized and said that sometimes the self checkout doesn't print a receipt for whatever reason. Is this how you treat paying customers?

I feel like I haven’t rated this place in a bit. I go in (out of pure necessity) about 1/month. Every time is 1-star. Every time.
Today it was a return:
My 14 year-old ordered some controllers for his Nintendo. They didn’t work. So, I held my breath and went in to make the return. While I waited for customer service to open (it was 8:57am ???), I pulled up the online receipt (attached). The rep at CS told me they needed the original box.
Me: There was no box - the controller was literally sent to us USPS in a USPS plastic bag/envelope.
Her: “Well, we need that packaging then.”
Me: Not according to the very nice return description on the app I’m showing you.
Manager, after asking for her: “we have to have the box.”
Me: there was no box, please look at the return description I’m showing you on your (Wal-Mart) app.
Me: Don’t you have a box.
Her (and I’m not exaggerating one bit): we don’t have any boxes”.
Me: ok - and after telling her that was ridiculous, I walked out.
Called Customer Service and they were very helpful with helping me make the return.
Un-freaking-believable.

This store is becoming more dangerous (inside) during broad daylight (mid day) due to lack of anyone who will address security issues. Even when a manager was alerted, and was asked to call security she “deliberately” didn’t do anything. This fact was observed Sunday, May 5, 2024.
If you shop here be forewarned and consider going elsewhere.

Have ya ever thought
1. Love to go shopping and have a majority of what you're looking for empty on the shelves
2. Have a bathroom blasted like you're working at a refinery in Louisiana with 1 portajohn for the site
Then this is the place for you.
