The pharmacy here is probably the worst. The lady that worked with me today did not smile, did not say anything nice such as “how are you?” Or “thank you.” Or even “bye”. She confirmed my identify, in a very business like style of communication, and gave me the medicine, and that was it.
Luckily this is the pharmacy for my children. And I don’t need to visit this place more than a few times a year. Only reason for my family to use this location is its closeness.

Terrible experience with the pharmacy. They don't refresh their systems on weekends and claim they haven't got prescriptions form doctors' offices when they clearly have been sent (having seen the documentation with my own eyes). Not super proactive or responsive. The urgent care told me they often have problems with Walgreens on weekends. Rarely with HT pharmacy or CVS.

Since when do you need an ID to buy Alka-Seltzer for a cough or a cold????? This is not a narcotic and I went to your store on MLK in Chapel Hill where the lady refused to sell me Alka-Seltzer even though I'm sick and I have gray hairs and you can see that I am not a kid and that I really needed it for purposes of being sick so I can feel better and she wanted me to run back to my car and get my identification so that I can provide her my ID to purchase Alka-Seltzer!! Absolutely absurd! Please show me the law that states this or the policy that demands this?? If I was feeling better I would have definitely asked for a manager/supervisor because what the cashier did was very unnecessary. Walgreens, do better, train your people better. Feel free to reach out.

The pharmacy part of this Walgreens is incompetent. Everytime I’ve tried to use them for my prescriptions for Carolina Urgent Care (which is close by) it’s always been an unpleasant event. This Walgreens pharmacists supposedly never receive the requests, and they never let the docs know if there is a problem with the order so outsiders have to do the work for them. TERRIBLE pharmacy service. And they are SO RUDE. Overall description…rude and incompetent and lazy.

Pharmacy and staff are always kind and willing to help customers.
I love this place rather than any other places.
I recommend this Walgreens.

The pharmacy always has this sign, “no drive-thru due to staffing shortage”. They rarely answer their phone too. Not sure what’s going on? I do think a pharmacy should be functional. Especially, with a corporation like Walgreens. I don’t know if their pay is too low for anyone to apply? I would be willing to apply….I’m an RN though, so they’re going to do better than bare minimum pay. Still, I be willing to come & help out. This is just too sad.

Used this pharmacy for many years. Most of the staff were always very polite. Usually well stocked. Switching to CVS as pharmacy was unable to get a prescription filled in a timely fashion. I felt the pharmacist took a patronizing tone when I expressed, what felt to me, a reasonable amount of frustration over the issue.

The pharmacy since being made over with new employees, I have had 3 wrong filled prescriptions,on one prescription they wouldn't correct because of insurance reasons when they are the one's who made the mistake. Moral is horrible and a lot of attitude in the air.

Flu test is a scam. Website promises results in 20-30 min and the opportunity for a consultation to get a prescription on site. Results weren't emailed for 24 h -- too late for Tamiflu, etc... to be useful, which was the point -- and no consultation/prescription/etc... offered. Only want to get a prescription is go elsewhere, and they want to do their own test anyhow.

Experience with pharmacy complete disaster! They are awful about answering phone calls. I spent multiple days attempting to speak with someone but would just get hung up every time. Do not send your prescriptions here. Staff is unhelpful with issues!

I called today to ask if they had a specific GI product my daughter needed after a hospital stay. They confirmed the name of the product three times with me, and said yes, it was in stock. I got there and looked everywhere, asked for help looking from a pharmacy tech, no luck. It’s not there. The pharmacy tech looked it up on a phone and said that it was actually in stock at Walmart and I could drive over there to pick it up. I drove to Walmart. It’s not there either. She must’ve seen it’s available to order off of the website. I should’ve double checked her, I guess, but wow. Twice they had me driving around for this specific and important medical product for my kid and twice they were totally wrong. Wasted my evening and we still don’t have what we need for my kid.

I have had issues with this pharmacy on and off over the years, but today was by far the worst! My prescriptions somehow were changed to mail order, and by the time I noticed, I was too close to running out to wait for delivery. Had to call Walgreens mail order (their chat wasn’t working), on hold for 30 minutes, they pulled order and transferred me to the (wrong location!) local Walgreens. On hold again, explained situation and they said I had no refills left, which of course made no sense since they had been in process previously with mail order. Then they said I needed a new prescription from my doctor because it can’t be transferred from mail order to local by me or vice versa. What!? I had it filled locally last month - how did they end up as mail order? The whole conversation became so ridiculous and I thought I was going to lose my mind!! They then wanted ME to call my doctor and get a brand new prescription because they couldn’t figure out how to fill it - sure, at 4pm on a Friday…. Then they HUNG UP!! I called back, on hold, then passed around and eventually they ended up calling my doctor while I was on hold. They said they’d fill my prescriptions by the end of the day, but so far I have not received an automated message, and the mail order mess-up is still in the app, which makes no sense. I might just have to drive there and waste time waiting until I have my prescriptions in hand.
