We held a preparty the next before and guests loved being able to spend the night at the many on-site accommodations.

There are not many event spaces that can hold 175 people in Chapel Hill and after an exhaustive time calling different restaurants, we found The Pitch (we didn’t want to host the event in a hotel). Laura and her team were great. They worked with us every step of the way preparing for the evening. It was a huge success. We recommend The Pitch to anyone looking to host an event in Chapel Hill!”

Let’s just say, compared to other parts of UNC, this is really luxurious though it might be a bit dated. If anything, this reminds me of Baiyoke Sky Hotel in terms of decor. Yep, even managed to see UNC Acapella people (Achordants and Psalm 100 especially, Clef Hangers left early but I put them under this classification for certain reasons) try and finish the catering. Hats off to them!
While I don’t remember the songs, at least I do know that they did get decent Christmas music to ‘kick off the holiday season.’
Refreshements are quite similar to the dining halls (I.e. OK, decent quality), but could have included eggnog. Then again, this is Carolina Alumni, NOT the Sheraton/Hilton/Whatever high class hotel you think of.”
